Randy Savage (w/ Miss Elizabeth) defeated WWF IC Champion the Honkytonk Man (w/ Jimmy Hart & Peggy Sue) via count-out at 8:39 after Savage threw the champion shoulder-first into the ringpost; after the bout, Hart hit Savage in the back of the head with the megaphone but Savage fought off Honky, cleared him from the ring, and destroyed the guitar (Macho Madness: The Ultimate Randy Savage Collection)
Andre the Giant (w/ Ted Dibaise & Virgil) pinned WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan at 9:05 to win the title even though Hogan’s shoulder came up before the three count; Ted Dibiase paid off Earl Hebner to fill in for his twin brother Dave as the referee for the match; moments later, Gene Okerlund interviewed Andre from the ring apron in which Andre surrendered the title over to Dibiase; after the bout, Dibiase put the championship belt on as Dave Hebner ran into the ring and argued with the other referee, who looked exactly like him; the other referee then knocked Dave to the floor, with Hogan then tossing the other over the top rope and onto Dibiase and Virgil; voted Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Match of the Year (Earl Hebner’s surprise debut) (Hulkamania 3, The History of the WWE Heavyweight Championship, Best of Saturday Night’s Main Event)
WWF Tag Team Champions Rick Martel & Tito Santana defeated Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart (w/ Jimmy Hart); following the ring entrances, Gene Okerlund conducted a backstage interview with Hogan regarding his title loss, with Hogan questioning how much Ted Dibiase payed to have his referee look exactly just like Dave Hebner; only the beginning of the match was televised due to time constraints

Hulk Hogan & WWF World Champion Randy Savage (w/ Miss Elizabeth) defeated the Big Bossman & Akeem (w/ Slick) at 22:00 when Hogan pinned Akeem with the legdrop; moments earlier, Savage left ringside after slapping his partner for leaving the bout to take an injured Elizabeth backstage; after the match, Hogan fought off Bossman and Slick and handcuffed them to each other; during a segment later in the telecast, Savage attacked Hogan backstage before Brutus Beefcake and officials came to his aid (Best of Saturday Night’s Main Event)
Ted Dibiase (w/ Virgil) pinned Hercules at 7:12 with a roll up after Virgil distracted Hercules as he had Dibiase in the backbreaker submission hold; after the bout, Virgil pulled Dibiase from ringside before Hercules could attack him with his steel chain

The Main Event III – shown live on NBC (12.8) – featured opening backstage promos by Randy Savage, alongside Sherri Martel) and WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan, as well as Jack Tunney giving instructions to Buster Douglas in his outside referee role; included Vince McMahon & Jesse Ventura on commentary; McMahon & Ventura discussed at the opening of the show that Mike Tyson was to have been the outside referee for the title match but Tyson’s management pulled him at the last moment, with them saying Douglas was the only man that could do the job; featured Gene Okerlund conducting a backstage interview with Savage, alongside Sherri, about his upcoming title match with Hogan, with Savage saying he got word that Tyson was a loyal Hulkamaniac and wouldn’t haved called things down the middle; Savage then threatened Douglas to call the match down the middle, with Sherri saying Hogan wouldn’t be defending the title against WWF IC Champion the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI because it would be Savage’s belt; included Ventura conducting a backstage interview with Dino Bravo, Jimmy Hart, & Earthquake about Bravo’s upcoming WWF IC Title match against the Ultimate Warrior, with Ventura congratulating Bravo on what he said would be his upcoming title win; featured McMahon conducting a backstage segment in which he recapped the friction between Hogan and Warrior at the Royal Rumble and their misunderstanding after their tag team win on Saturday Night’s Main Event; included McMahon conducting a backstage interview with Hogan about his interactions with Warrior and addressing Ventura’s claims that Hogan “stole the spotlight” from Warrior after Warrior’s match with Bravo earlier in the show, with Hogan saying he was watching Warrior’s back to make sure he will be 100% at WrestleMania VI; featured Okerlund conducting a backstage interview with Warrior about his altercation with Hogan earlier in the show, with Warrior saying he didn’t need Hogan’s protection because he had the protection of his Warriors; Warrior then said he was the chosen one; included Okerlund conducting a backstage interview with Douglas about his officiating earlier in the show, with Douglas saying he would go out drinking with Hogan after the show; when Okerlund pressed him, he said they were both milk drinkers:
WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan pinned Randy Savage at 11:14 when guest outside referee Buster Douglas (sub. for Mike Tyson) made the fast count following the legdrop; during the match, Douglas sent Sensational Sherri, who was in the challenger’s corner, backstage; after the match, Douglas knocked Savage out with a punch; during Savage’s entrance, Gene Okerlund conducted a backstage interview with Hogan, who threatened Douglas to call the match down the middle or he would take the boxing title by the end of the show; moments later, Okerlund conducted a backstage interview with Douglas about his officiating role; after the bout, Hogan and Douglas celebrated in the ring, with the camera briefly cutting backstage for a vague promo from the Warrior before returning to the celebration (Macho Madness: The Ultimate Randy Savage Collection)
WWF IC Champion the Ultimate Warrior pinned Dino Bravo (w/ Jimmy Hart & Earthquake) at 4:11 with the press slam and splash; following the challenger’s entrance, Gene Okerlund conducted a backstage interview with Warrior about his upcoming title defense; after the match, Earthquake jumped Warrior from behind and helped double team Warrior; moments later, Warrior threw Bravo to the floor, with Earthquake then dropping two elbow drops on Warrior and setting him up for a splash off the top; WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan then ran out and stood between Warrior and Earthquake, then punching Earthquake off the top rope to the floor; Warrior took exception to Hogan’s interference and shoved the referee out of the way, with Hogan doing the same when another referee appeared; moments later, the two went nose to nose as four referees tried to pull them apart

The Main Event IV – 11/23/90 on NBC (8.6) – the special was originally taped as a 90-minute Saturday Night’s Main Event special to air on Nov. 24; a few days after the show was taped, NBC cancelled the SNME and gave the WWF a 60-minute spot instead; this served as another reason the Harts/Rockers match did not air, as it ran about 40 minutes:
Prime Time Wrestling – 12/3/90: WWF World Champion the Ultimate Warrior defeated Ted Dibiase (w/ Virgil) via disqualification when Virgil prevented the pinfall after Warrior hit a shoulderblock; after the bout, Randy Savage blindsided the champion in the ring and attacked him with his sceptor before dropping the flying elbowsmash (Greatest Hits, Best of the WWF: The Ultimate Warrior, Ultimate Warrior: The Ultimate Collection)
Nikolai Volkoff fought Sgt. Slaughter (w/ Gen. Adnan) to a no contest when Slaughter attacked his opponent before the bell rang; moments thereafter, Jim Duggan made the save by chasing Slaughter from ringside with his 2×4
Prime Time Wrestling – 12/10/90: Mr. Perfect defeated the Big Bossman via count-out at 8:15 when Bossman chased Bobby Heenan – who came ringside moments earlier – backstage; after the bout, Bossman chased Perfect out of the ring with the nightstick
Prime Time Wrestling – 12/17/90: Rick Martel defeated Tito Santana via submission with the Boston Crab

The Main Event V – 2/1/91 on NBC (6.7) – featured Vince McMahon & Roddy Piper on commentary:
Hulk Hogan & Tugboat defeated Earthquake & Dino Bravo (w/ Jimmy Hart) at 8:56 when Hogan pinned Bravo; later in the broadcast, Hogan was named the #1 contender to the WWF Championship and would receive a title shot at WrestleMania VII
Jim Duggan defeated WWF World Champion Sgt. Slaughter (w/ Gen. Adnan) via disqualification at 6:50 when the champion used a steel chair on the floor; after the match, Hulk Hogan – who occompanied Duggan to the ring before the match – attempted to make the save but was also beaten down with the chair
The Legion of Doom defeated the Orient Express (w/ Mr. Fuji) at 5:11 when Road Warrior Hawk pinned Kato following the Doomsday Device (Best of the WWF: Superheroes)
