Series premiere – 8/26/99 on UPN – featured Jim Ross, wearing a thin cast on his broken arm, & Jerry Lawler on commentary; included an opening segment in which the new WWF World Champion Triple H, along with Chyna, came out and cut a promo on his reaching the top of the industry, despite being told he would never do it; moments later, the Rock came interrupted and said he would beat Triple H and take the title later that night; after Triple H rejected the challenge, WWF Commissioner Shawn Michaels came out, made the match official, and made himself the guest referee for the bout; moments later, Shane McMahon came out and, as owner of the WWF, made himself the second guest referee; Michaels said that wouldn’t be possible because Shane would be facing Mankind later in the night; Mankind then came out, with a brawl taking place in which Rock & Mankind cleared the ring of Triple H, Shane, and the Mean Street Posse; included Howard Finkel coming to the ring to the Ultimate Warrior’s music, stealing the microphone from ring announcer Tony Chimel, and beginning to give ring introductions – only for Chimel to tackle him and send him to the floor; moments later, Chris Jericho came out and helped Finkel to his feet; as Ken Shamrock came out for his scheduled match against Val Venis, he and Jericho had an altercation in the aisle; Jericho then sent Finkel down to confront Shamrock and, while Shamrock was distracted, Jericho hit Shamrock in the back with a steel chair; moments later, Shamrock ran backstage to find Jericho; later in the show, Jericho sped off out of the arena while Shamrock grabbed Finkel, eventually letting him go after it was implied Finkel had soiled his pants; featured Michael Cole conducting a pre-taped sit-down interview with an injured Steve Austin in which Austin talked about his leg injury and coming back to the ring to face Triple H:
Billy Gunn pinned WWF IC Champion Jeff Jarrett (w/ Miss Kitty & Debra) in a non-title match at 2:54 with a roll up and grabbing the tights for leverage after Chyna came ringside and accidentally broke Jarrett’s guitar over Debra when she attempted to hit Miss Kitty; after the bout, Gunn attempted to moon Chyna but she hit a low blow on him from behind before he could
WWF Tag Team Champions the Undertaker & the Big Show (w/ Paul Bearer) defeated X-Pac & Kane and the Acolytes at 3:47 when Show pinned X-Pac with the chokeslam; the Undertaker did guest commentary for the bout and made Show defend the titles by himself in a showing of tough love
The Big Bossman pinned WWF Hardcore Champion Al Snow to win the title at 2:20 after hitting Snow in the head with the nightstick as Snow went for Pepper the dog, who was on the commentary table; prior to the bout, Bossman came out and told Snow that he would give Pepper back if Snow gave him a title shot however, after the bout, Bossman took Pepper with him while Snow was still knocked out
The Road Dogg defeated Chris Jericho via disqualification at 4:31 after Jericho powerbombed his opponent through a table set up in the ring; after the bout, Jericho applied the Walls of Jericho until a number of officials made him break it, then briefly reapplied the hold before leaving the ring (Jericho’s TV wrestling debut)
Shane McMahon pinned Mankind at around the 3:30 mark after Triple H came ringside and hit Mankind in the leg with a steel chair, while the Mandible Claw was applied, as Chyna distracted the referee; prior to the bout, Stephanie McMahon came to the ring and asked Test to come out so she could give him an answer to his marriage proposal; after Test came to the ring, he got down on one knee and asked a second time, with Stephanie saying yes; moments later, Shane McMahon & the Mean Street Posse attacked Test until Mankind made the save with a steel chair; Mankind then grabbed the microphone, told Shane to leave Test and Stephanie alone, and then said that his match with Shane would begin right then and there; to get Shane to agree to the match, Mankind offered Shane one free shot with the steel chair; during the bout, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, Test, and Stephanie McMahon battled with the Mean Street Posse into the crowd
Tori defeated WWF Women’s Champion Ivory in a non-title Evening Gown match at the 58-second mark; prior to the bout, Tori attempted to come out in nothing but a thong but a number of officials and referees wouldn’t allow her to; she eventually came out wearing Tony Garea’s shirt after he took it off for her to put on; after the bout, Tori further attacked Ivory until Luna came out to restrain her, as Ivory ran backstage
WWF World Champion Triple H pinned the Rock at 9:43 with the Pedigree after guest referee Shawn Michaels hit the superkick on the challenger as he attempted the People’s Elbow; early in the bout, Michaels ejected Chyna from ringside for hitting a low blow on Rock while on the floor; Shane McMahon came out moments later; after the bout, Triple H, Michaels, Shane, and Chyna embraced in the ring (The Best of Smackdown: 10th Anniversary, History of WWE)

9/2/99 – hosted by Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler; included footage of the Rock & Mankind winning the WWF Tag Team Titles from the Undertaker & Big Show on Raw; featured an in-ring segment in which Show took the mic and demanded Taker come out and face him, for leaving him alone Monday on Raw; moments later, Paul Bearer interrupted, said Taker created Show and he could destroy him; Show responded by knocking Bearer to the mat and said he didn’t want a messenger; Taker then walked out, grabbed Show by the shirt, and whispered in his ear; Taker went on to grab Show by the throat and warned him not to disrespect him again; Taker then left the ring alone, with Show following close behind; included an in-ring segment in which Mankind discussed how embarassing it was to lose to Shane McMahon the previous week before introducing the Rock as his new WWF Tag Team Championship partner; Rock went on to say he and Mankind weren’t friends but Mankind was the craziest “son of a bitch” he had ever seen; moments later, WWF World Champion Triple H, Chyna, and Shane walked out to the entrance stage, with Shane saying Rock & Mankind were more interested in Triple H’s title than they were their own; Shane went on to say Rock would face Mankind to determine the #1 contender for the WWF World Title match at Unforgiven; he added they would be suspended for 6 months if they went easy on each other and then told Triple H he would defend the world title against “that bald headed SOB” who was no stranger to WWF gold; a livid Triple H then chased after Shane as he returned backstage; Mankind then noted he beat the Rock for the WWF World Title in Worcester and hoped Rock would make him look good again by laying down for him; Rock responded by saying he would shove Mankind’s title belt up his ass, with Mankind saying he wasn’t sure it would fit; featured footage of a black limo shown in the parking lot; included a backstage segment in which X-Pac told Kane he would handle his match alone and was sick of being the weak link and letting Kane down; featured footage of Ken Shamrock arriving to the arena; included Lilian Garcia conducting a backstage interview with Mankind about his upcoming bout with the Rock; featured a backstage segment in which Triple H and Chyna discussed whether they could trust Shane; included a backstage shot of Triple H and Chyna trying to get into Shane’s locked dressing room; featured footage of Al Snow meeting the Big Bossman at his hotel room, with Bossman feeding Snow a meal before revealing he was eating Snow’s stolen dog Pepper; moments later, Bossman shoved Snow’s face into the food and beat him with his nightstick; included several backstage segments of Ken Shamrock looking for Chris Jericho; featured Garcia conducting a backstage interview with Shane about the Rock vs. Mankind match earlier in the broadcast, with Shane saying he felt bad and would make the situation right; included an in-ring segment with Shane, Triple H, and Chyna; before Shane spoke, a woman’s leg was shown exiting the black limo backstage; Shane said he would referee a Rock vs. Mankind rematch to determine the #1 contender; Shane ordered them to come out, with Test walking out instead, saying the idea sucked, and introduced Linda and Stephanie McMahon; Linda said there would not be a Rock vs. Mankind rematch, but Rock & Mankind would face Triple H & Shane later in the broadcast; a livid Shane then said it better be for the titles, with Linda agreeing; following the commercial break, footage was shown during the break of Shane and Triple H discussing their plan for the match; featured Garcia conducting a bakstage interview with the Dudley Boyz about their arrival to the WWF, with Bubba Ray stuttering:
Chyna pinned Billy Gunn at 2:27 after WWF World Champion Triple H interfered, as the referee was knocked on the floor, and dropped Gunn with the Pedigree; following the ring entrances, WWF IC Champion Jeff Jarrett, Debra, & Miss Kitty came out, with Jarrett providing guest commentary; Chyna’s IC title match at Unforgiven was at stake in the contest
Tony Chimel defeated Howard Finkel in an impromptu tuxedo match at 1:52; prior to the bout, Finkel walked out, took the mic, and said Chimel humilated him the previous week; Finkel went on to challenge Chimel to a tuxedo match and said he would regain his ring announcing duties if he won; Chimel told Finkel to go backstage, with Finkel agreeing until he jumped Chimel from behind to start the contest; Chris Jericho was shown watching on backstage during the match; following the commercial break, footage was shown of Jericho speaking to Finkel backstage and telling him he could be a Jockey model
X-Pac defeated Chris Jericho via disqualification at 3:39 when Big Show, who watched much of the match from the entrance stage, attacked X-Pac in the ring; prior to the bout, footage was shown of Jericho injuring Road Dogg the previous week before attacking Ken Shamrock with a steel chair; following the entrances, Shamrock came out and scared Jericho to the floor, before X-Pac asked him to let him have the match and Shamrock returned backstage; after Shamrock went backstage, the Undertaker and Show walked out to the entrance stage; immediately after the match, Shamrock ran out and chased Jericho through the crowd; Show then sat up X-Pac for the chokeslam until Kane made the save and knocked Show to the floor; Taker, on the mic, then ordered Show to leave them before telling Kane he was pathetic and X-Pac was making him weak and vulnerable; following the commercial break, Shamrock was shown destroying the backstage area while looking for Jericho
WWF World Champion Triple H (w/ Chyna) pinned WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Gillberg at 1:53 with the Pedigree; following Triple H and Chyna’s entrance, Shane McMahon joined them in the ring, praised Triple H, and called for his “bald headed SOB” opponent to come out; Tony Garea then knocked on Gillberg’s dressing room backstage; Triple H and Shane embraced during Gillberg’s entrance; Shane provided guest commentary for the bout; after the contest, Triple H grabbed a chair, knocked the referee down, and assaulted Gillberg’s leg with the chair
WWF Tag Team Champion the Rock fought WWF Tag Team Champion Mankind to a double disqualification at at 3:29 when WWF World Champion Triple H and Chyna attacked both men; during the bout, both men took turns stealing and putting on a headset from the announce team; Shane McMahon took over as guest referee at the 3-minute mark after the initial referee was knocked out; the bout was to determine Triple H’s #1 contender challenger at Unforgiven; after the contest, Shane took the mic and announce neither man won
Ken Shamrock defeated Val Venis via submission to the ankle lock at 1:45; after the match, Shamrock kept the hold applied before Steve Blackman ran out and Shamrock laid out Blackman with his own nunchucks; moments later, Chris Jericho walked out to the entrance stage and mocked Shamrock, daring him to follow Jericho to the parking lot; Shamrock then ran backstage after Jericho before Blackman assaulted Venis with his nunchucks; Shamrock was then shown confronting “Jericho” backstage, only for it to be revealed as Howard Finkel in costume; Jericho assaulted Shamrock from behind with a shovel, applied the Walls of Jericho, and had Finkel take a Polaroid; Jericho went on to say, “Oh my god, I killed Kenny” before driving out of the parking lot, with Finkel in the trunk of his car

The Undertaker & the Big Show defeated WWF Tag Team Champions Mankind & the Rock to win the titles in a Buried Alive match at 11:43 after WWF World Champion Triple H came out, as Rock and Taker fought near the entrance stage, struck Show in the back of the head with a sledgehammer and then poured dirt onto Mankind in the grave; mid-way through the match, Rock and Taker fought their way backstage, where Triple H attacked Rock before Kane intervened; moments later, Chyna hit Kane in the back with a steel chair but he shrugged it off and stalked her down the hallway; after the match, an ambulance drove into the arena to tend to Mankind and Show; moments later, Triple H opened the ambulance door to find Steve Austin inside; Austin then attacked Triple H, put him in the ambulance, and drove it out of the arena; Austin then got into a WWE tractor trailer and twice drove it into the ambulance (The Atittude Era)

The Rock pinned Val Venis in a No DQ match with the Rock Bottom at 10:14, moments after hitting the same move on an interfering Mankind; during the bout, the Rock stopped by the commentary table and briefly put on a headset; late in the match, Mankind came out to stop Venis from using a steel chair, but then accidentally hit Rock with the weapon moments later (The Attitude Era Blu-ray)

10/21/99 – included Mankind cutting an in-ring promo to begin the show in which he made mention of his book, Have a Nice Day, saying it was the greatest thing he ever did; moments later, Mankind did a sit-in to get Vince McMahon’s attention and, after Vince came out, Mankind said he wanted a title shot and wanted to beat the Rock in order to earn it; the Rock then came out and accepted the challenge; after Mankind left the ring, Rock confronted Vince and said that if he was wrestling tonight, Steve Austin should be wrestling as well; when Vince said no one had challenged Austin, Val Venis came out and did so; Austin came out, accepted the challenge, and sent Venis out of the ring as Vince and Rock left ringside; featured footage of Mark Henry at his 5th sex therapist in which his therapist was revealed to be the Godfather, with Godfather telling Henry there was absolutely nothing wrong with him:
Test, Edge & Christian defeated Davey Boy Smith, Joey Abs, Rodney, & Pete Gas in a handicap match at 2:43 when Test pinned Rodney with the flying elbow drop immediately after Rodney sustained a double decker superplex from Edge & Christian; the bout was originally a one-on-one bout between Test and Smith but turned into a tag team match when Smith came out with the Mean Street Posse
WWF World Champion Triple H pinned Al Snow at 4:22 with a kick to the midsection and the Pedigree after avoiding the Snow Plow
Mankind fought the Rock to a no contest at 6:00 when Val Venis, who was doing guest commentary, attacked Mankind on the floor and in the ring with his own book; moments later, the Rock hit the Rock Bottom on Venis and attempted to do the same to Mankind but Triple H came out, jumped Rock from behind, and hit the Pedigree; had Mankind defeated the Rock, he would have won Rock’s #1 contender spot
WWF Women’s Champion the Fabulous Moolah fought Mae Young to a no contest at 2:57 when Ivory attacked both women; moments later, Tori, Jackie, and Luna came out and all of the women began fighting each other until referees swarmed the ring and Ivory was chased to the back
WWF Tag Team Champions Hardcore & Crash Holly defeated Matt & Jeff Hardy (w/ Terri) at 3:54 when Hardcore pinned Jeff with a dropkick as Jeff attempted a leap from Matt’s back onto Holly in the corner; after the bout, the Road Dogg & Billy Gunn jumped the Hollys on the ramp until the champions ran backstage
The Big Show fought the Big Bossman to a no contest when, as Show came out and hit three chokeslams on the fake police officer who told him his father had died Monday, Bossman escaped through the crowd before the match began
The Godfather & Mark Henry defeated Viscera & Mideon at 1:30 when Henry pinned Mideon with a splash after Godfather hit the Ho Train; the bout was originally Viscera vs. Godfather but was turned into a tag team match when Mark Henry came out after everyone made their entrances
Steve Austin pinned Val Venis at 9:57 with a kick to the midsection and the Stunner after avoiding a clothesline; after the bout, Triple H attacked Austin from behind, with the Rock coming out and attacking Triple H as the show came to a close
