Lauderdale, FL in which he said he would work with Vince McMahon to come up with a solution for how Tyson can be involved with Austin at WrestleMania XIV, since the Nevada State Commission banned Tyson from fighting:

Slaughter came out and ruled that Hart’s victory over Triple H’s stand-in would constitute the title changing hands; upon the announcement, Triple H began throwing chairs backstage and said he would get payback on Hart (Owen: Hart of Gold)

2/2/98 – included a “State of the Union” address by WWF World Champion Shawn Michaels, Triple H, & Chyna in which they said they would start to follow the network’s rules and detailed which words they could say and which they couldn’t, with the banned words being bleeped out; featured an in-ring segment in which Michaels, Triple H, & Chyna campaigned to have Steve Austin face Mike Tyson at WrestleMania; moments later, Austin came out and confronted Michaels, telling him that it didn’t matter when but he was taking the WWF World Title:
Cactus Jack fought Terry Funk to a no contest when WWF Tag Team Champions the Road Dogg & Billy Gunn attacked both men following a Cactus elbow from the stage onto Funk who was in a dumpster; the Outlaws locked both men inside the dumpster before pushing it off the stage; officials and medical personnel soon swarmed the ringside area
WWF European Champion Owen Hart defeated WWF Tag Team Champion Billy Gunn via disqualification when WWF World Champion Shawn Michaels, Triple H, & Chyna attacked Hart

Steve Blackman pinned WWF IC Champion the Rock (w/ the Nation) in a non-title match after D-Lo Brown tossed Blackman’s nunchucks to Rock, with Blackman intercepting them; after the bout, D-Lo blames the move on Farooq, with the Rock demanding an apology; Farooq gives none and leaves ringside with Kama and D-Lo
The Headbangers defeated NWA Tag Team Champions Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson (w/ Jim Cornette) to win the titles when Thrasher pinned Morton at 7:39 after Cornette hit Thrasher with his tennis racquet, with Thrasher falling on top of Morton for the pinfall; prior to the match, Comissioner Slaughter replaced NWA referee Tommy Young with WWF referee Earl Hebner; during the bout, Thrasher threw Robert Gibson over the top to the floor – which would have caused a disqualification under NWA rules – but Hebner didn’t stop the match
WWF European Champion Owen Hart defeated Marc Mero via disqualification at 3:58 after the challenger shoved the referee; before the bout, Mero ordered Sable backstage; late in the contest she returned ringside; after the bout, Luna Vachon ran ringside to attack Sable – with officials and Mero / Goldust holding the two women apart

Triple H fought Savio Vega to a no contest when Steve Austin came ringside and hit the Stunner on an official, a referee, and Savio; moments later, as Austin had Triple H cornered in the ring, Shawn Michaels came ringside and hit the superkick on Austin and was going to hit him with a steel chair before officials intervened; once Austin had regained his senses, he followed DX and Los Boricuas backstage with the chair

3/30/98 – featured an opening segment in which Vince McMahon carried the WWF World Title to the ring and introduced Steve Austin as the new champion, with Austin then appearing; McMahon then told Austin they could do things the easy way or the hard way about him being the champion and fitting into the corporate world, with Austin dropping McMahon with the Stunner; McMahon later had Austin arrested; included an in-ring promo by WWF European Champion Triple H, alongside Chyna, in which he said Shawn Michaels dropped the ball at WrestleMania, said “Syxx was DX’s lucky number,” and then brought out Sean Waltman; Waltman then insulted Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff (Waltman’s surprise return after a 2-year absence); featured the first vignette promoting the debut of Val Venis, as he was shown on a couch watching porn; included an in-ring promo from Paul Bearer, alongside kane, in which Bearer challenged the Undertaker to face Kane at Unforgiven in an Inferno Match:

The Road Dogg & Billy Gunn defeated Cactus Jack & Terry Funk in a steel cage match to win the vacant WWF Tag Team Titles at around the 4:30 mark when Road Dogg pinned Cactus following a spike piledriver onto a steel chair; prior to the bout, footage was shown of Funk being tended to backstage earlier in the day after sustaining a bruised hip the previous night at WrestleMania; Road Dogg wore a “JOB Squad: Pin Me, Pay Me” T-shirt for the match; the match could only be won via pinfall or submission; late in the bout, Triple H, Chyna, and X-Pac came out, with Chyna distracting the referee as X-Pac climbed the cage and repeatedly hit Cactus with a steel chair; after the match, Triple H, X-Pac, Road Dogg, Gunn, and Chyna continued to assault Cactus as Funk remained tied to the cage; moments later, Road Dogg & Gunn began doing the DX crotch chop, implying they had joined the group

5/11/98 – featured Jim Ross & Michael Cole on commentary for the first hour, with Jerry Lawler replacing Cole for the second hour; included an opening in-ring promo by Vince McMahon in which he said WWF World Champion Steve Austin would be in tag team action later in the night and would be notified as such when he arrives to the arena; McMahon then introduced Dude Love as the #1 contender, with Mick Foley coming out in a suit and tie, with a copy of the Wall Street Journal, and putting on reading glasses before describing himself as the future WWF World Champion, with the two then hugging; McMahon went on to introduced Gerald Brisco as the guest timekeeper for the Austin vs. Dude Love match at Over the Edge and Pat Patterson as the guest ring announcer; McMahon then went to introduce the guest referee for the bout, but no one walked out and no music was played; McMahon walked backstage, with Patterson eventually introducing the referee as “the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be, Vince McMahon;” McMahon then walked back out in a sleeveless referee shirt and all four men raised their hands as Dude Love’s music played; Kevin Kelly was then shown standing in the parking lot waiting for Austin’s arrival, with Sable walking by and declining to speak to Kelly; included footage of WWF European Champion Triple H, X-Pac, WWF Tag Team Champions the Road Dogg & Billy Gunn, and Chyna being driven in a jeep to WCW’s offices in Atlanta; footage then showed security having them move out of the way so others could come in the building and of some in the visitors cheering DX on; Ross then noted that WCW called 911 on DX; featured Kelly waiting for Austin only to find Al Snow, with Head, saying he has tickets for the show and asked how to get to his seats; included an ad promoting Celebrity Deathmatch on MTV, featuring Austin; featured footage of Kelly in the garage as Austin arrived to the arena; following the commercial break, footage was shown of Kelly informing Austin of McMahon’s announcements earlier in the show regarding Over the Edge and being in a tag match later in the show; Austin eventually grabbed the mic from Kelly and went looking for McMahon himself; included footage of DX at CNN Center earlier in the day, being met by fans and security, and being told they couldn’t film because it was private property; featured a vignette promoting the debut of Edge; included footage from earlier in the day of Bradshaw teaching Taka Michinoku to drive in the parking lot, as fans watched from outside the parking lot, and giving him a cigar to smoke; when they pulled back into the lot, both men were attacked by Kaientai, as Yamaguchi-San oversaw; Tony Siragusa of the Baltimore Ravens was shown sitting ringside; featured an in-ring promo by Austin, in which he was interrupted on the big screen by McMahon, with Brisco and Patterson, with the three covering up their eyes, ears and mouth in relation to Austin’s match later in the night; included a vignette promoting the debut of Val Venis; featured an in-ring segment in which Sable took the mic and called for Marc Mero to join her in the ring; moments later, the two squared off before Mero hoisted Sable up for the TKO, let her go, and told her to apologize for trying to ruin his career; Sable responded with a kick to the groin and hit a powerbomb; after the two left the ring, the Undertaker confronted Lawler at ringside, yanked off his headset, assaulted Lawler, and hit the chokeslam; as Taker attempted the tombstone, the lights went off and Kane’s music played, with Kane and Paul Bearer walking out and Bearer saying everything he told Taker to that point was true and he would prove the following week that he was Kane’s father; before Taker attacked Lawler, Lawler apologized for the things he said about Taker’s mother the week before; after Kane and Bearer left, Taker yanked Lawler up and dropped him with the tombstone; following the commercial break, Snow came out with Head and joined Ross on commentary; moments later, Patterson and Brisco directed security to escort Snow away, with Snow telling them that he needed to see Vince; included footagte of DX outside the CNN Center, with a graphic then showing a missile blowing up the building; featured a segment in which Dustin Runnels walked out with his Goldust costume in hand, put it in a trash can, poured gasoline on it, and lit it on fire; he then took the mic and said he worked too hard for Vince the past three years, said Vince took his dignity away from him and caused him to lose his father and his wife; he went on to say Vince was punishing him every day and said “Goldust dies tonight;” included a backstage segment showing Vince talking to Austin’s mystery tag team partner later in the show; featured footage of Snow trying to get in the building but being blocked at the door:
