Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/ Chyna) (sub. for Vader) pinned Crush; Vader was taken out of the match due to injuries sustained against Ken Shamrock at ‘Cold Day in Hell’; Helmsley was allowed another spot in the tournament because he was not properly instructed prior to his match with Ahmed Johnson the previous week that he could be eliminated via disqualification and thus threatened the WWF with legal action Evansville, IN – Roberts Memorial Stadium – May 26, 1997

Jerry Lawler pinned Goldust (w/ Marlena) at 5:19 with his feet on the ropes; after the match, Goldust knocked Lawler all the way down the ramp Huntington, WV – Civic Center – June 2, 1997
Mankind pinned Savio Vega (w/ Crush & D-Lo Brown) at 3:01 after Crush accidentaly hit Savio in the back of the head

From this point on, all bouts took place in Providence, RI on June 9, 1997. Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/ Chyna) pinned Ahmed Johnson at 7:18 with the Pedigree after knocking his opponent into the corner as Ahmed had a staredown with Chyna Mankind defeated Jerry Lawler with the Mandible Claw at 10:22 as Lawler attempted to turn a backdrop into a roll up

Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/ Chyna) pinned Mankind with the Pedigree at 19:24 after hitting the Pedigree through the commentary table and then having Chyna interfere, smashing the scepter over Mankind’s head
