Lou Albano, where Vince announced that Cyndi Lauper would be receiving an award soon in Madison Square Garden for her contributions to the WWF, Piper said she didn’t deserve the award but Albano thought she did; footage was shown of Lauper at a concert at the Houston, TX Summit, and also footage of her managing Wendi Richter in a recent match at the Los Angeles / Inglewood forum vs. the Fabulous Moolah on 9/19/84; included a vignette showing Don Muraco in Hawaii:

12/29/84 – included an ‘Update’ segment focusing on Brutus Beefcake; included an appearance by WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan where he found Big Jim in the crowd and got him to go backstage with him; featured Gama Singh as a guest of Piper’s Pit, which was interrupted by Big Jim, where he accused Piper of making fun of him, and said he had decided to go with the best, Piper presumed he meant him, but he said it was Hulk Hogan, Hogan then appeared on the set and took Jim away saying Jim was his man and Piper was out; included a vignette of Don Muraco & Mr. Fuji in Hawaii:
Buddy Rose (w/ Bobby Heenan) pinned Steve Lombardi at 3:43 with the DDT; prior to the bout, ring announcer Howard Finkel introduced Rose at 256 pounds but Rose quickly corrected him and said he was 235 pounds; during the commentary for the match, Vince McMahon talked about an incident in Madison Square Garden a couple of days ago that we may have heard about involving Cyndi Lauper’s award presentation, and that footage would be shown the following week
