Beat the Clock Challenge: CM Punk (w/ Luke Gallows) pinned Matt Hardy at 7:20 with a kick to the head and the Go To Sleep; prior to the match, Punk, alongside Gallows, cut an in-ring promo in which he spoke of the New Year’s resolutions the fans were making and then led the crowd in a pledge admitting they were tired of damaging their bodies and would not smoke, drink, or do drugs in 2010; Punk then said he would save a member of the crowd the following week and his message would continue to grow until the youth all lived under his straight edge lifestyle; Punk then said he would go on to win the Beat the Clock challenge and regain the World Heavyweight Title at the Royal Rumble; after the contest, Hardy attempted to fight off an interfering Gallows until Punk assaulted Hardy from behind, allowing Gallows to hit the 12th Step
Beat the Clock Challenge: Kane fought Dolph Ziggler to a time-limit draw at 7:20; CM Punk & Luke Gallows were shown watching the match backstage; Ziggler had Kane in a sleeper when the match ended; after the contest, Ziggler dropped Kane with the Zig Zag
The Great Khali pinned the Carolina Panther with the tree slam at the 18-second mark and putting one foot on his chest during the cover; the Panther wore a Carolina Panthers jersey for the match, stemming from the Panthers beating the New York Giants days earlier in the last game at Giants Stadium
WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre defeated John Morrison via disqualification at 4:48 when, after Morrison twice moved the referee out of the way while attacking McIntyre in the corner, the champion shoved Morrison into the referee, with the ref thinking Morrison did it intentionally; after the match, Morrison jumped McIntyre from behind in the aisle, with the two fighting until referees came out to break up the fight
Mickie James pinned Beth Phoenix with a roll up at 1:03 after WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool accidentally kicked Phoenix in the head from the ring apron; McCool, who wore a “Piggy James loves food” T-shirt, and Layla, who wore a “We love the Glamazon” T-shirt, sat ringside for the match; after the bout, McCool & Layla double teamed Mickie until Phoenix began fighting McCool, eventually clearing her from the ring and kicking Layla off the apron; moments later, Phoenix slapped Mickie’s hand but then dropped her with the Glam Slam
Beat the Clock Challenge: Rey Mysterio Jr. pinned Chris Jericho at 7:19 with an inside cradle; prior to the match, Jericho cut an in-ring promo claiming he was bigger than Smackdown and the WWE and that he and the Big Show would regain the WWE Unified Tag Team Titles from Triple H & Shawn Michaels the following Monday on Raw; Jericho then said his resolution would be to win every title in the WWE, and he would beat Mysterio to go on to the Royal Rumble where he would beat the Undertaker; Punk & Gallows were seen watching the match backstage
Beat the Clock Challenge: Batista fought R-Truth to a no contest at 7:20 when Rey Mysterio Jr., who sat ringside for the match, pulled referee Charles Robinson out of the ring as Batista had Truth covered following the sit-down powerbomb; stipulations stated the winner of the Beat the Clock series – Mysterio – would earn a World Heavyweight Title match at the Royal Rumble; after the match, Mysterio ran up to the entrance stage and stared at Batista; moments later, Vickie Guerrero came out, said Mysterio cheated Batista out of a victory, and said Mysterio would face Batista in a singles match the following week to determine the true #1 contender

1/8/10 – featured an opening segment in which Batista came out to the entrance stage, asked for his music to be cut and for a spotlight to be put on him, and then asked for his music to start back up; moments later, Batista cut an in-ring promo in which he said 2010 was starting off just like 2009 with him being screwed out of title opportunities; he then called for Teddy Long to come out and tell him why he was being mistreated, and said if Long didn’t then he walk out of the show and take the crowd with him since they paid to see him; Mysterio then appeared and said Batista was nothing but an arrogant crybaby and that his interference during R-Truth’s match with Batista was payback for Batista interfering in his title match two weeks earlier against World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker; Mysterio then said Batista was scared that Mysterio would beat him again, prompting Batista to say he would not only beat him in their match later in the show but also make sure Mysterio didn’t walk out of the ring; included an ad promoting “The History of the World Heavyweight Championship;” featured a backstage segment with Beth Phoenix, WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, and Layla – with McCool wearing a “Team Lay-Cool” T-shirt – in which McCool and Layla apologized for the previous week’s altercation in the ring and then showed off a trough of lettuce they made for Mickie James; Phoenix then told them to get serious and said she would be facing Layla later in the show; included a backstage segment with Chris Jericho, Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith, and Natalya Neidhart in which Jericho praised them for making an impact at his expense weeks earlier; Smith & Kidd then said what happened to Bret Hart Monday would never happen to them because they’re better than the best; featured an in-ring segment in which CM Punk, alongside Luke Gallows, reminded the audience that he said the previous week he would save somemone in the WWE Universe; moments later, Punk spotted a fan in the crowd and had Gallows help him over the barricade; the man identified himself as James, with Punk then saying James had nothing to fear anymore and told James to accept him as his savior; James then said he had tried a few times to stop smoking, with Punk saying that wasn’t good enough and that James he would stop using his body as a sewer; moments later, Punk said there was one thing left to do and then shaved James bald as he sat in the ring; after Punk finished, he said James had evolved above everyone else in the crowd and was now better than them; included a video package promoting Maria being part of ‘The Celebrity Apprentice,’ with comments from Maria, Donald Trump, Sinbad, and Bret Michaels; featured a backstage segment with Long and Maria regarding her being part of ‘The Celebrity Apprentice;’ moments later, Vickie Guerrero walked in, praised Maria, and then showed her the new line of WWE Mattel action figures and belts; the Great Khali, alongside Runjin Singh, then appeared and said he wanted to get all the figures and even Vickie’s, which reminded him of the cows back home in India; Khali then mooed at Guerrero; included a “Did you know?” graphic which read more than 100 photos of divas were viewed on WWE.com; featured an ad promoting “The Marine 2;” included Josh Matthews conducting a backstage interview with WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre regarding his controversial disqualification win the previous week over John Morrison, during which McIntyre said he would go on to win the Royal Rumble; moments later, Morrison appeared and dared McIntyre to keep bragging, with McIntyre saying he was done with Morrison and was moving on to bigger and better things; Morrison then slapped McIntyre and fought with him until officials pulled them apart:
Dolph Ziggler defeated Kane via count-out at 6:22 when he slid back into the ring after he applied a sleeper on Kane outside the ring; late in the match, Kane kicked out after sustaining the Zig Zag
Chris Jericho, David Hart Smith, & Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya Neidhart) defeated R-Truth & Cryme Tyme at 10:41 when JTG submitted to Jericho’s Walls of Jericho after avoiding a dropkick off the top
Luke Gallows (w/ CM Punk) pinned Matt Hardy at 5:44 with a boot to the face and the 12th Step after Punk distracted Hardy from the ring apron
Beth Phoenix pinned Layla (w/ WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool) with the Glam Slam at 1:44; after the bout, Layla grabbed Phoenix leg, allowing McCool to attack Phoenix until Mickie James helped make the save; moments later, Mickie dropped Phoenix with a kick to the face
Rey Mysterio Jr. fought Batista to a no contest at around the 10-minute mark; at the 8-minute mark, Batista had Mysterio set up for the sit-down powerbomb but World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker’s gong sounded, the lights went out, and Batista was down on the mat when they came back on; moments later, Mysterio hit the 619 and set Batista up for the springboard splash only for the gong to sound again, lights go out, and Mysterio was down when they came back on; stipulations stated the winner would challenge Taker at the Royal Rumble; after the bout, Taker appeared at the entrance stage as the show went off the air

Chris Jericho pinned John Morrison at 10:41 with the Code Breaker after Morrison glanced at WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre, who appeared ringside early in the match; Jericho’s face was heavily bruised as a result of being punched by Mike Tyson during the previous week’s Raw; prior to the match, Jericho cut an in-ring promo saying Tyson’s punch didn’t change the fact he was the best at what he did and was the face of Smackdown!; Jericho then said he would go on to win the Royal Rumble and regain the world title; during his entrance, Morrison gave a pair of his glasses to a ringside fan; after the match, McIntyre ran his shoe across Morrison’s face
CM Punk & Luke Gallows defeated Cryme Tyme, Matt Hardy & the Great Khali (w/ Runjin Singh), and Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith (w/ Natalya Neidhart) at 6:49 when Gallows pinned JTG with the 12th Step; prior to the bout, Punk, alongside Gallows, cut an in-ring promo about the fact he saved a member of the WWE Universe the previous week and would not stop his crusade until all the fans had joined; Gallows then spoke of his personal struggles and said all the fans needed to get past their own was Punk and the straight edge lifestyle; Punk then said he would win the Royal Rumble and it would be an accomplishment for the straight edge society; moments later, Punk spotted a man in the crowd and had Gallows help him into the ring; the man then identified himself as “Trevor” and said he couldn’t count the number of drinks he’s had this year; Punk then had Trevor accept the straight edge lifestyle into his life; Gallows then shaved Trevor’s head, with Punk then saying Trevor made the first good decision in his life and the three men then raising their hands together; stipulations stated the winners would earn a shot at the WWE Unified Tag Team titles; after the bout, Trevor celebrated with Punk & Gallows in the ring
Mickie James defeated Beth Phoenix via disqualification at 3:04 when Phoenix began assaulting Mickie as she was hung upside down in the Tree of Woe; after the bout, WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool and Layla came in the ring, with Phoenix walking off and allowing them to double team Mickie in the ring; Mickie briefly made a comeback but eventually sustained McCool’s Faith Breaker
Kane pinned Dolph Ziggler with the chokeslam at 12:32; prior to the bout, Josh Matthews conducted a backstage interview with Ziggler in which Ziggler said he was on a roll, would beat Kane, and would then focus on winning the Royal Rumble
Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Batista in a steel cage match at 7:13 when Mysterio climbed over the top and kicked the door into Batista’s face while coming down the other side; stipulations stated the winner would challenge World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker at the Royal Rumble (Smackdown: Best of 2009-2010, WWE Superstar Collection: Rey Mysterio)

1/22/10 – featured the announcement John Morrison would challenge WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre the following week; included an ad promoting “WWE The Music Vol. 10: A New Day;” featured a graphic on how to donate to AmeriCares in the wake of the Haiti earthquake; included clips from Rey Mysterio Jr. winning the 2006 Royal Rumble; featured a promo by CM Punk, alongside Luke Gallows, at the entrance stage in which he noted they would challenge WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Shawn Michaels & Triple H the following week and would take the titles because they are straight edge; Punk continued to preach until he was ringside, then asked who in the crowd wanted to join his straight edge society, with a young woman then jumping the barricade and running around the ring to get Punk’s attention; she was quickly stopped by security and taken up the aisle until Punk called off security and asked her to come in the ring; the woman identified herself as “Sarina” and that she was desperate to change; Punk then had her sit in a chair in the ring, accepted Punk as her savior; following the commercial break, Punk shaved Sarina’s head inside the ring and said she was now better than the WWE Universe; included a clip of Mysterio beating Kurt Angle and Randy Orton to win the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 22; featured an in-ring segment with WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool & Layla in which they said McCool was supposed to face Mickie James at the Royal Rumble but that was now off because Mickie was leaving Smackdown! forever; they then showed off the food they had in the ring for a going away party, including cakes in the shapes of pigs; moments later, Maria came out to the ring and said the only thing McCool & Layla were good at was torturing Mickie and that they should be the ones leaving the show; Mickie eventually came out and said she had dealt with women like McCool & Layla all her life and that she looked like a real woman, as did Maria and all the other women in the crowd; Mickie then said the only people that will tell her where to go are the WWE Universe and that she would be at the Rumble to teach them some manners; the four women began fighting in the ring, with Beth Phoenix then coming out, thinking about who to go after, throwing Maria to the floor, and then helping triple team Mickie in the ring; moments later, McCool took a pig off one of the cakes and shoved it into Mickie’s face, then dumped a bowl of punch over her head; included a “Did you know?” graphic which read the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame sold out in 35 minutes; featured clips of Mysterio beating Batista the previous week in a steel cage match; included an ad promoting “The Best of Raw: 2009;” featured a closing in-ring promo by Mysterio in which he referenced winning the World Heavyweight Title four years ago and said World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker was the only thing standing between Mysterio and reliving his dream; Mysterio then called Taker out to tell him face-to-face that he wasn’t afraid; moments later, Taker appeared, with Mysterio saying he wasn’t afraid of him in their last title match and would beat Taker for the title at the Rumble; Taker then said he admired Mysterio’s courage but no one beats the grave and Mysterio was digging his own; the champion then left the ring, with Mysterio taking the mic and saying he wasn’t like Taker’s other victims; Batista then attacked Mysterio from behind and dropped him with the sit-down powerbomb as Taker returned ringisde; Batista then left through the crowd as the show ended:
Finlay defeated Batista via disqualification at 1:25 when Batista began eye gouging Finlay on the floor; after the match, Batista threw Finlay over the announce table and then continued to assault him at ringside by ramming him into the ringpost, steel steps, and ringside barrier; moments later, Batista took the mic and said what he did to Finlay is what he would do to 29 other men at the Royal Rumble – then proceeded to stomp Finlay while pretending he was WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Shawn Michaels & Triple H and John Cena; Batista then said he would win the Rumble and take the World Heavyweight Title back from the Undetaker at WrestleMania, thus ending his undefeated WrestleMania streak
John Morrison & R-Truth defeated Chris Jericho & WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre at 17:41 when Truth pinned Jericho with a scissors kick after Morrison kicked Jericho in the head from the ring apron behind the referee’s back; prior to the bout, it was announced Morrison’s match with McIntyre the following week would be No DQ; it was also noted Jericho was on the cover of the current issue of “Men’s Fitness;” following the entrances, Teddy Long appeared at the entrance stage and said the previously scheduled handicap match pitting Jericho & McIntyre against Morrison would now be a tag team match involving R-Truth
Cryme Tyme fought Mike Knox & Charlie Haas to a no contest at the 50-second mark when Kane appeared and knocked the four wrestlers to the floor
The Great Khali (w/ Runjin Singh) & Matt Hardy defeated David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya Neidhart) at 2:20 when Hardy pinned Kidd with an inside cradle after avoiding a double team move and sending Kidd into Smith on the apron; late in the match, Natalya distracted Khali from ringside and tried to lure him backstage

WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Triple H defeated CM Punk (w/ Luke Gallows & Sarina) via disqualification at 11:59 when Sarina jumped on Triple H as he attempted the Pedigree on Punk; prior to the bout, Rey Mysterio Jr. interrupted Triple H & WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Shawn Michaels’ in-ring promo prior to their scheduled title defense against Punk & Gallows, and said Michaels was overlooking the fact Mysterio would be the World Heavyweight Champion after the Royal Rumble; Michaels agreed that the Undertaker would still be the champion after the Rumble, with Triple H saying Mysterio was looking for a fight but Hornswoggle wasn’t around this week; as Mysterio and Michaels came face to face, Punk, Gallows, & Sarina came out, with Punk then saying his Straight Edge Society would be tag team champions by the end of the night; Triple H responded by saying he doesn’t drink, smoke, or do drugs but he doesn’t look like he just got done with a weeklong crack binge with Amy Winehouse; as Punk went to cut Triple H off, Teddy Long appeared and said he had seen an opportunity to change things around; Long then said Mysterio would face Michaels and Triple H would face Punk; after the match, Punk & Gallows assaulted Triple H before Punk prepared to shave Triple H’s head; moments later, Michaels came out to make the save and cleared Gallows from the ring, with Punk then putting Sarina between he and DX, eventually leaving her alone in the ring with them; Michaels then teased the superkick on her, with Sarina then escaping to the floor and joining Punk and Gallows

WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre pinned John Morrison in a No DQ, No Count-Out match at 11:32 after raising his knees to block Starship Pain and following with a double underhook DDT onto the title belt; prior to the match, Morrison cut an in-ring promo on McIntyre, saying he doesn’t appreciate what he’s been handed
WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool pinned “Mickie James” (Layla dressed as Piggy James) in an impromptu match at the 54-second mark with a roll up after the challenger hit the corner; prior to the match, McCool showed footage of her smashing a pig cake into Mickie’s face the previous week, said Mickie was gone from Smackdown!, and then issued an open challenge to any woman in the back to face her then and there for the title; moments later, Layla came out as “Piggy James” and said she couldn’t stop crying the previous week because she didn’t get enough cake to eat, then accepted the title shot
WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Shawn Michaels fought Rey Mysterio Jr. to a no contest at 15:48 when, after Michaels hit the superkick on Mysterio as Mysterio attempted a springboard, Batista ran out, hit a spear on Michaels, and dropped Mysterio with a spinebuster; moments later, WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Triple H made the save and toppled to the floor taking Batista with him; moments later, as Michaels and Mysterio struggled to their feet, World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker appeared in the ring and hit a double chokeslam on both men as the show ended

2/5/10 – featured an opening in-ring promo by Chris Jericho in which he said he should have won the Royal Rumble and deserved to be in the main event of WrestleMania after beating four men at WrestleMania 25; Jericho then said that while Edge had been out recovering for 7 months, Jericho was selling out arenas and carrying the company on his back and was too good to settle for nothing at WrestleMania; he said Teddy Long told him he would have to qualify for the Elimination Chamber and then told Long to come out and make the situation right; Jericho then went backstage when Long didn’t show and demanded to be shown where Long’s office was, walking past David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd, and Natalya Neidhart before storming into Long’s office where he found Edge instead of Long; Edge said Jericho created the monster and caused him to come back for revenge, with Jericho saying he would make Edge regret it and Edge saying he would make Jericho regret it instead; included a video package recapping the Elimination Chamber; featured footage from after Monday Night Raw went off the air in which John Cena tended to an injured Bret Hart and raised his arm; moments later, Batista returned to the ring, attacked Cena from behind, assaulted him around ringside, hit him with the ring steps, and dropped him with a powerbomb onto the ring steps inside the ring; included a backstage segment with CM Punk, Luke Gallows, and Sarina in which Punk reminded them that there is no Straight Edge Society without him and that he needed their support and devotion to overcome Batista later in the show, after his attacks on Hart and Cena; featured an ad promoting “The Best of Raw: 2009;” included a “Did you know?” graphic which read in 2009 2.3 billion photos were viewed on WWE.com; featured a backstage segment of “Word Up” with Cryme Tyme in which the word of the day was “king,” in reference to Elvis Presley, BB King, and Jerry Lawler, who appeared late in the segment; included an ad for WWE NXT; featured a closing in-ring segment of “The Cutting Edge” in which Edge said he was happy to be back home, defied doctors’ odds, returned to the ring months early, and was now on his way to WrestleMania; Edge then showed footage of his fight with WWE World Champion Sheamus during Raw and was on course to introduce World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker as his guest for the night until he was interrupted by Jericho; Jericho said Edge didn’t deserve to win the Rumble, with Edge reminding him that he eliminated Jericho en route to win the match and said he was sick of Jericho’s catchphrases and persona; Punk, Gallows, and Sarina then came out, with Punk insulting both Edge and Jericho and saying he’s had the most success against Taker and would win the Elimination Chamber; moments later, Taker appeared in the ring and, alongside Edge, cleared Jericho, Punk, Gallows, and Sarina from the ring; Edge then sized Taker up for the spear but Taker turned around and the two faced off as the show ended:

Rey Mysterio Jr. pinned CM Punk (w/ Luke Gallows & Sarina) at 14:53 by reversing the Go To Sleep into a hurricanrana and roll up; after the bout, Gallows and Sarina assaulted Mysterio in the ring, with Gallows eventually putting Mysterio on Punk’s shoulders so Punk could hit the Go To Sleep
Kane fought WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre to a double count-out in a non-title match at 6:58 when both men began brawling on the floor after falling out of the ring; prior to the bout, McIntyre cut an in-ring promo saying he said he didn’t care who his opponent would be because he’s undefeated and unstoppable; following Kane’s appearance, McIntyre said he had nothing to prove to Kane and that Kane could get his match, just the following week; Kane then attacked McIntyre to start the match; after the contest, McIntyre attacked Kane in the ring and attempted to use the title belt as a weapon but Kane dropped him with the chokeslam and then laid the title belt on his body (McIntyre’s first appearance with new theme music)
Michelle McCool & Layla defeated WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James in a handicap match at 3:01 when McCool scored the pin with a kick and the Faithbreaker after Mickie knocked Layla to the floor; the bout was scheduled as Layla vs. Mickie but, within a minute of the bell ringing, Vickie Guerrero came out and announced the bout was now a handicap match also involving McCool
The Great Khali (w/ Runjin Singh) & Matt Hardy (w/ Maria) defeated David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya Neidhart) when Hardy pinned Kidd with a reversal of a roll up at 2:10, moments after Maria attacked Natalya on the floor; following their entrance, Hardy took the mic and introduced Maria as his Valentine, with Maria then coming out and hugging Hardy
R-Truth defeated John Morrison at the 53-second mark when Morrison tweaked his right ankle while flipping over Truth’s back; prior to the bout, Morrison gave his sunglasses to a ringside fan; both men shook hands to open the match; after the contest, Truth, a trainer, and the referee tended to Morrison in the ring and helped him to his feet
Chris Jericho pinned World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker in a No DQ non-title match with the Codebreaker at 7:35, moments after Edge – who did guest commentary for the match – interfered and hit the spear on the champion after Jericho sustained the powerbomb; prior to the bout, Edge cut an in-ring promo regarding his win at the Royal Rumble, the fact he would not have to compete in the Elimination Chamber, and the potential to challenge any one of 12 men that would compete in the Chamber; Edge then indicated he might want to face Taker at WrestleMania and alluded to his match the following week against Batista until he was interrupted by Jericho; Jericho then referenced seeing Edge suffer the injury that took him out of action 6 months and said he should do himself a favor by facing the WWE World Champion at WrestleMania because Jericho would walk out of the Elimination Chamber with the World Heavyweight Title; Jericho then said bad things would happen to Edge again if he continued to antagonize him; late in the match, Taker threw Jericho into Edge at the commentary table and kicked Edge in the face moments later

CM Punk & Luke Gallows (w/ Sarina) defeated John Morrison & R-Truth at 11:20 when referee Charles Robinson stopped the match, moments after Morrison accidentally kicked the ringpost and was deemed unable to defend himself; prior to the bout, Punk cut an in-ring promo in which he said he would fill the fans’ void with Straight Edge and reclaim the World Heavyweight Title; early in the bout, pyro representing World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker went off in the aisle, distracting all the participants; after the match, Punk continued to assault Morrison until Truth made the save; Gallows then jumped Truth, dropping him with the 12th Step; moments later, Rey Mysterio Jr. ran out to make the save but was soon beaten down by Punk and Gallows, with Gallows eventually laying Punk across his knee so Punk could hit a kneedrop off the top; no official winner of the match was announced
David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd, & Natalya Neidhart defeated Matt Hardy, the Great Khali (w/ Runjin Singh), & Maria at 4:12 when Natalya pinned Maria with a tornado clothesline after pulling Maria into the ring as the four men fought on the floor
Edge fought Batista to a no contest at around the 10-minute mark when, after Edge blocked Batista’s spear by hitting his own, the lights in the arena went out; when they came back on, World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker appeared in the ring and dropped Edge with a chokeslam as Batista left ringside; moments later, as Taker walked up the ramp, Chris Jericho came out of the crowd and dropped Edge with the Code Breaker as Edge struggled to his feet; Jericho and Taker then locked eyes as the show ended

3/12/10 – featured an opening segment in which Rey Mysterio Jr., alongside his wife, son, and daughter, came out to the ring; Mysterio then took the mic and introduced Dominik, Angie, and Alyia, then saying – as WWE superstars – they sometimes miss out on very special days; Mysterio said it was his daughter’s 9th birthday, with the crowd then chanting “Happy birthday” before Mysterio led them in singing “Happy Birthday;” moments later, CM Punk, Luke Gallows, & Sarina interrupted, with Punk finishing the song as Angie covered her daughter’s ears; Punk then said he was happy they were all their and then challenged Mysterio to a match at WrestleMania and immediately; Punk then said the world had seen Dominik grow up before their eyes but he had probably never heard Mysterio squeal like a pig as someone stomped his surgically repaired neck; he then said Angie and Rey had shared the best of times, but it would be the worst of times when Punk was done with him; Punk called Mysterio a coward, then dropped to his knees so he could be at Rey’s level before slapping Mysterio across the face; Mysterio then had his family leave the ring and left ringside with them as Punk continued to sing “Happy Birthday” to Alyia; included a video package regarding the Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels match at WrestleMania, to the tune of Johnny Cash’s “Ain’t No Grave,” mixed with comments from John Cena, Punk, WWE Unified Tag Team Champion the Big Show, Triple H, MVP, Mysterio, and World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho; featured a backstage segment with Teddy Long and WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre in which Long said Vince McMahon had again erased his loss the previous week and was back in a third Money in the Bank qualifying match, noting McMahon had handpicked his opponent; Long then said he couldn’t drop the match but he could make it an IC title defense as well; included a “Did you know?” graphic which read fans from all 50 states and 24 countries had already bought tickets to WrestleMania; featured an ad promoting “Shawn Michaels: My Journey;” included a backstage segment with Long and Tiffany in which he said he was happy to have her on Smackdown! and that Mickie James was recovering well from a knee injury; Vickie Guerrero then walked in and said Tiffany was the reason ECW was cancelled and replaced by NXT; Vickie then made a match for later in the show between Tiffany and WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool; featured a “Did you know?” graphic which read WWE Magazine is the #1 sports magazine sold at Walmart; included a closing segment of the Highlight Reel in which Jericho introduced Edge as his guest; following Edge’s introduction, the crowd chanted “Spear,” with Edge then prompting the crowd to keep chanting; Jericho responded by mentioning Edge’s history with injuries, noting he was out hurt when Jericho faced Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 19 in that same city; Edge responded by saying Jericho lost at the WrestleManias he missed, against both Michaels and Christian; Edge then said he takes risk in the ring and has no regrets; Jericho responded by saying Edge can’t succeed on his own and the best success he ever saw was when he was with Guerrero; he then noted Edge rushed through recovery and came back sooner than anyone expected but it would ultimately cost him at WrestleMania; Jericho said he would beat Edge, hurt him, and send him home for another 6 months; Edge replied by saying he would take the title after dropping Jericho with the spear, with Jericho then punching Edge in the mouth and then with one of the stools set in the ring; the champion then attempted to throw Edge face-first into the JeriTron 5000 but Edge reversed it and dropped Jericho with a DDT; Edge then attempted the spear but Jericho blocked it by hitting him across the face with his title belt; Jericho then took the mic and began chanting “Spear” while pointing to the crowd, then dropping to his knees and saying it in Edge’s face; Jericho then held up the belt as the show ended:
R-Truth (w/ David Otunga) pinned WWE US Champion & WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Mike Mizanin (w/ Daniel Bryan) with the Lie Detector at 6:06 after Bryan pushed Miz’s feet off the ropes as he had Truth covered; prior to the bout, Miz cut an in-ring promo in which he questioned if Truth & John Morrison really had a chance against he and the Big Show at WrestleMania, then saying he and Show would prove they have no shot by beating them in singles matches

Tiffany defeated WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool (w/ Layla & Vickie Guerrero) via disqualification at 1:30 when Guerrero knocked Tiffany to the floor while outside the ring; after the bout, McCool continued to assault Tiffany in the ring until Beth Phoenix ran out, knocked McCool and Layla to the floor, and then dropped Vickie with a clothesline; moments later, Phoenix attempted the Glam Slam on Vickie until McCool and Layla ran back in the ring, with Phoenix again scaring them to the floor while Vickie escaped backstage
Kane defeated Luke Gallows (w/ CM Punk & Sarina) via disqualification at 7:33 when Punk attacked Kane after Kane dropped Gallows with the chokeslam; during the bout, Darren Young was shown watching on backstage; after the match, Punk dropped Kane with the Go To Sleep, with Rey Mysterio Jr. then slowly walking out to the ring, chasing Punk to the floor, and assaulting him around ringside and into the crowd; eventually, Dean Malenko and referees held Mysterio back as Punk ran backstage

3/19/10 – featured an opening segment in which Todd Grisham & Matt Striker reviewed the previous week’s in-ring altercation between CM Punk and his Straight Edge Society and Rey Mysterio Jr. and his family; moments later, Mysterio came out to the ring and cut a promo on Punk, saying he crossed a line and that he would accept Punk’s challenge to a match at WrestleMania; Mysterio then said he wanted Punk in a streetfight so he could teach him a lesson; Punk, Luke Gallows, & Sarina then appeared at the entrance stage with Punk saying he would keep a safe distance because Mysterio was obviously upset that he was shown to be a coward the previous week; Mysterio then called Punk a monster and threatened to come out to get Punk, with Punk saying Mysterio wouldn’t get the match he wanted at WrestleMania if he touched Punk before the show; Punk then said he saw a lot of potential in Mysterio if he would just learn to embrace Straight Edge, then showed still photos on the big screen from the previous week to detail the moment he realized he could save Mysterio so he could be the father his family wants and needs; Punk later said Mysterio would face Gallows later in the show, with Mysterio getting his streetfight at WrestleMania if he won but if he lost, and then lost at WrestleMania, then he would have to join Punk’s group; Mysterio responded by saying he would beat Gallows, as he had done before, and then told Punk “May God have mercy on your soul;” included a WrestleMania 26 ad to the tune of Kevin Rudolf’s “I Made It;” featured an Undertaker-Shawn Michaels WrestleMania commercial to the tune of Johnny Cash’s “Ain’t No Grave;” included footage of Vince McMahon’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame; featured a backstage segment with Teddy Long and WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre in which Long noted McMahon had erased McIntyre’s earlier losses and said McIntyre would put his undefeated streak up later in the show against the Undertaker; Kevin Rudolf was shown in attendance; featured an in-ring segment of The Cutting Edge in which Edge introduced World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho, who came out alongside Wade Barrett; Edge then said he and Jericho had exchanged attacked in the past week but it would end at WrestleMania with the spear; Jericho responded by saying Edge was simplifying it too much, he knew Edge wasn’t 100%, and that he would target Edge’s tendon to put him out of wrestling; Edge replied by saying he might still be hurt but not he nor Jericho knows for certain, with Edge blindsiding the champion and fighting with Barrett until the two cornered him; Edge eventually fought them off, threw Jericho to the floor, and dropped Barrett with the spear in the ring; moments later, as Edge turned around, Jericho dropped him with the Code Breaker, stomped his leg, and then said “Spear” into the mic before holding up his title belt; included a backstage segment of Word Up with Cryme Tyme in which the word of the day was “Show Down,” with JTG then correcting Shad that it was really “Slim Jim Show Down” to promote the Slim Jim WrestleMania contest; featured an ad promoting Steve Austin’s “Damage,” on DVD Tuesday; included the announcement all the Money in the Bank ladder match participants would compete in a tag team match the following week and the show would feature footage from WrestleMania Axxess:

Beth Phoenix & Tiffany defeated WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool & Layla at 3:34 when Phoenix pinned McCool with the Glam Slam after avoiding the Faith Breaker; McCool & Layla wore tank tops before the bout which read “Glama Man?”; after the match, Vickie Guerrero came out, sent Tiffany backstage, and demanded an apology from Phoenix for what happened the previous week; Phoenix said she already did backstage, with Guerrero saying she wanted it in front of everyone; Guerrero then said Phoenix would face her the following week in the ring
John Morrison & R-Truth defeated David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya Neidhart) at 1:39 when Truth pinned Kidd with the Lie Detector
Luke Gallows (w/ CM Punk & Luke Gallows) pinned Rey Mysterio Jr. at 8:37 when, as Punk distracted the referee, Sarina tripped Mysterio as he attempted a springboard into the ring; after the match, Mysterio knocked Gallows to the floor and assaulted him at ringside and on the commentary table as Punk sat on the apron and watched; Mysterio backed off but then jumped on Gallows as Punk and Sarina stood feet away; stipulations stated Mysterio would get a streetfight with Punk at WrestleMania if he won and that, if he lost, Mysterio would have to join Punk’s Straight Edge Society if he lost his match at WrestleMania
The Undertaker pinned WWE IC Champion Drew Mcintyre in a non-title match at 2:14 with the chokeslam and tombstone; after the contest, Shawn Michaels appeared at the entrance stage and attempted to hit the superkick but Taker blocked the move; moments later, Michaels escaped a choke, hit the superkick, and yelled at Taker as the show went off the air (Smackdown: Best of 2009-2010)

WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, WWE Divas Champion Maryse, Layla, Vickie Guerrero, & Alicia Fox defeated Beth Phoenix in a handicap match at 2:24 when Guerrero scored the pin after McCool kicked Phoenix in the face; the match was scheduled for Phoenix vs. Guerrero but Guerrero changed it to a handicap match following her entrance; after the match, the divas held Phoenix down as Guerrero went up top for a frog splash; moemnts later, Mickie James, Eve, Gail Kim, & Kelly Kelly made the save; eventually, Phoenix and Guerrero were left alone in the ring, with Phoenix stripping Guerrero down to her panties, which read “Excuse me” and Vickie then running backstage

John Morrison & R-Truth defeated Cryme Tyme at the 44-second mark when Morrison pinned Shad with Starship Pain; after the bout, Cryme Tyme briefly argued before Shad kicked JTG in the face, followed with several knees, and then a right hand punch; moments later, after a referee came out to try to stop the fight, Shad dropped JTG with the STO; eventually, referees tended to JTG in the ring
WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre fought Matt Hardy to a no contest in a non-title match when McIntyre attacked Hardy before the match, rammed his head into the ringpost, and then dropped him with the Future Shock in the ring; McIntyre then held up his title belt while looking down at Hardy’s body
Dolph Ziggler defeated the Great Khali (w/ Runjin Singh) via submission with the sleeper at 2:26; late in the bout, Singh appeared to be yelling at the referee to notice Khali’s foot was under the bottom rope; after the bout, Khali took the mic and, with Singh translating, said he was going to go home, spend time with friends and family, regroup, and then come back to be world champion
Beth Phoenix & Tiffany defeated WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool & Layla (w/ Vickie Guerrero) at 3:08 when Phoenix pinned Layla with the Glam Slam after avoiding a spin kick

World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger pinned John Morrison in a non-title match at around the 11-minute mark with the gutwrench powerbomb after sweeping Morrison off the apron to the floor; prior to the bout, Swagger cut an in-ring promo saying he deserved to be champion and was now the best natural athlete in the WWE, following Shawn Michaels’ retirement; after Swagger said there was no one in the WWE that could stop his momentum, Morrison came out and said Swagger had the belt but had done nothing to be a champion, noting he lost to Randy Orton earlier in the week on Raw; Swagger replied by saying Morrison was bitter because he was living in the shadow of WWE US Champion & WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Mike Mizanin; the match was stopped mid-way through after Swagger suffered an accidental cut to his face (the bout began during the commercial break)
