– King of Cable Tournament Finals: Sting pinned Big Van Vader (w/ Harley Race) at 17:39 by catching Vader coming off the top and hitting a powerslam; after the bout, Jesse Ventura presented Sting with the King of Cable trophy (Starrcade 92 – 12/28/92; Omni)
– Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood defeated NWA Tag Team Champions Jack & Jerry Brisco to win the titles at 12:59 when Youngblood pinned Jerry after Steamboat press slammed his partner onto Brisco; Angelo Mosca was the guest referee for the bout; after the bout, the Briscos threw Youngblood to the floor and assaulted Steamboat and Mosca until the new champions eventually cleared the ring (Starrcade 83 – 11/24/83; Greensboro Coliseum)
– Dusty Rhodes pinned NWA World Champion Ric Flair with an inside cradle to win the title at 22:06, despite outside interference from Arn & Ole Anderson; after the match, Rhodes was congratulated in the ring by a number of wrestlers including Superstar Billy Graham; the title was later returned to Flair due to the controversial finish (Starrcade 85 – 11/28/85; Atlanta Omni)
– WCW Cruiserweight Champion Eddie Guerrero pinned Dean Malenko at 14:58 following a frog splash onto Malenko’s injured knee after hitting a missile dropkick to the knee; prior to the bout, Rey Mysterio Jr., the Ultimo Dragon, Greg Valentine, Barry Darsow, Chris Adams, WCW TV Champion Disco Inferno, and Harlem Heat were shown sitting in the crowd; during the contest, it was announced Malenko’s wife gave birth to a girl Christmas night (Starrcade 97 – 12/28/97; Washington DC)
– NWA Tag Team Champions Rick & Scott Steiner defeated the Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) in a non-title match at 7:28 when Road Warrior Animal pinned himself when Scott, who sustained Road Warrior Hawk’s clothesline off the top and a back suplex into a bridge by Animal, lifted his shoulder at 2; prior to the bout, the four men shook hands; Steiners – 35 points; Road Warriors – 20 points (Starrcade 89 – 12/13/89; Omni)
– Shane Helms & Shannon Moore defeated Yang & Kaz Hayashi (w/ Leia Meow) and Jamie Knoble & Evan Karagias in a ladder match at 13:51 when both men grabbed the contract after Helms threw Noble off a ladder placed across two others to build a bridge; pre-match stipulations stated the sole winner would face WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero Jr. the following night on Monday Nitro; Guerrero provided guest commentary for the bout (Starrcade 00 – 12/17/00; Washington DC)

– Roddy Piper defeated NWA US Champion Greg Valentine in a non-title dog collar match at 16:08 after repeatedly hitting Valentine in the face with the chain; during the bout, Gordon Solie referred to the title being on the line though it was not; Solie and Bob Caudle provided commentary for the match; after the bout, Valentine attacked Piper and choked him with the chain (Starrcade 83 – 11/24/83; Greensboro Coliseum)
– The Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) defeated Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey (w/ Jim Cornette & Big Bubba) in a scaffold match at 7:07 after Condrey and Eaton were kicked off the scaffold; after the bout, Ellering chased Cornette up the scaffold, where Cornette eventually fell off and blew out both knee (Starrcade 86 – 11/27/86; Atlanta Omni)
– Sting defeated WCW World Champion Hulk Hogan via submission with the Scorpion Deathlock to win the title at 12:53; Hogan originally won the match at 11:20 when referee Nick Patrick counted Sting down after Hogan hit the legdrop but Bret Hart prevented Patrick from calling for the bell, with Hart then punching Patrick out and taking over the officiating duties; both Scott Norton and Buff Bagwell attempted to interfere late in the bout but were held off by Sting; after the bout, Lex Luger, the Giant, Alex Wright, Mortis, Wrath, Louie Spicolli, Rick & Scott Steiner, Glacier, Rey Mysterio Jr., Public Enemy, the Ultimo Dragon, Greg Valentine, La Parka, WCW US Champion Diamond Dallas Page, Teddy Long, Ernest Miller, and several others filed into the ring to celebrate (Starrcade 97 – 12/28/97; Washington DC)
– Ric Flair pinned NWA World Champion Harley Race in a steel cage match to win the title at 23:49 with a flying bodypress off the top; Gene Kiniski was the special referee for the match; after the contest, Flair was congratulated in the ring by a number of individuals including Ricky Steamboat, Angelo Mosca, Jay Youngblood, Johnny Weaver, NWA Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Rufus R. – Ric Flair pinned WCW World Champion Vader (w/ Harley Race) to win the title at 21:08 with a clip to the knee and roll up; pre-match stipulations stated if Flair did not win the title he would have to retire; Flair left ringside immediately after the match but returned moments later to acknowledge the crowd (Starrcade 93 – 12/27/93; Charlotte, NC)

– WWF World Champion Bob Backlund (w/ Arnold Skaaland) pinned Sgt. Slaughter in a Texas Death Match at 14:06 with a crossbody after guest referee Tony Garea failed to notice the challenger’s foot on the bottom rope during the cover; after the bout, Slaughter attacked Garea until Backlund cleared the ring with a chair (9/24/83; Philadelphia Spectrum)
– The Iron Sheik defeated Sgt. Slaughter via disqualification at 8:31 when, after Slaughter hit the Slaughter Cannon, Slaughter took off his boot and repeatedly hit Sheik with the weapon until Sheik was knocked to the floor; prior to the bout, Terry Daniels, carrying the American flag, escorted Slaughter to the ring; after the bout, Kal Rudman attempted to conduct a backstage interview with Sheik until Slaughter jumped the Sheik from behind, with other wrestlers then appearing to break up the fight (4/23/84; Madison Square Garden)

– AWA World Champion Jerry Lawler & Jimmy Valiant fought Kerry Von Erich & WCCW Tag Team Champion Michael Hayes to a double count-out at around the 9:30 mark when Hayes and Valiant began brawling on the floor; Frank Dursek & Ray Stevens provided commentary for the match; after the contest, Lawler and Von Erich began brawling in the ring, with Hayes and Valiant fighting on the floor; Von Erich eventually punched the referee, with Lawler then punching Von Erich down in the corner (1/22/89; Kentucky)
– Jerry Lawler pinned Owen Hart with the piledriver at 6:33 after avoiding a charge in the corner and Hart hit his shoulder on the ringpost; prior to the bout, Lawler grabbed the mic and said he would let Owen out of the match if Owen kissed his feet; Hart responded by spitting on Lawler’s boot; after the contest, Lawler took the mic and said he hoped Bret Hart and Stu and Helen Hart watched what he just did; Lawler then stomped Hart on the mat (7/7/93; Salisbury, MD)

– The Junkyard Dog pinned Adrian Adonis (w/ Jimmy Hart) at around 8:45 after Adonis ran into Hart on the apron, who was holding up the megaphone to use on JYD; after the bout, Adonis attacked JYD with the megaphone (2/15/86; Phoenix, AZ)
– The Junkyard Dog defeated King Harley Race (w/ Bobby Heenan) via disqualification at 6:00 when Heenan interfered and attacked JYD after the Dog put on Race’s crown and robe; moments later, JYD fought off a double team from Race and Heenan, knocking Heenan to the floor and accidentally headbutting referee Danny Davis when Race moved out of the way (12/14/86; Hartford, CT)

– Buff Bagwell (w/ Judy Bagwell) pinned Roddy Piper (w/ Ric Flair) in a boxing fight at the 36-second mark of the 3rd round with the Buff Blockbuster after Judy bit Piper’s ear and Buff knocked Flair off the apron; boxing referee Mills Lane was the official for the contest (WCW Bash at the Beach 99 – 7/11/99; Ft.
