– Chris Benoit pinned Jeff Jarrett at 9:27 after breaking Jarrett’s guitar over his own head after Dustin Rhodes came out of the crowd to counter the interference of Creative Control, who appeared mid-way through the contest; after the match, Jarrett & Creative Control triple teamed Benoit until they were sent backstage by security
Mayhem 99 – 11/21/99; Toronto, Ontario; Air Canada Center
– Bret Hart defeated Sting via submission with the Sharpshooter at 10:06 after beating Sting’s injured leg to get out of the Scorpion Deathlock; Hart originally won the match via disqualification at 7:32 when, after referee Mickey Jay was knocked out, Lex Luger, with Elizabeth, came out and hit Sting in the leg with his baseball bat before Hart locked Luger in the Sharpshooter; Hart then argued he didn’t want to win the match that way so the bout continued; after the match, the two men shook hands

– Bret Hart defeated Chris Benoit via submission with the Sharpshooter to win the title at 17:44 following a double leg pickup; Dean Malenko interfered at the 5-minute mark, dressed as the same Canadian fan who “attacked” him earlier in the show but was ejected; WCW US & TV Champion Scott Hall and Kevin Nash interfered at the 9-minute mark, with Bill Goldberg making the save and all three eventually brawling backstage; after the bout, Hart and Benoit hugged out of respect, with Hart then celebrating in the ring with his wife, kids, and Wayne Gretzky’s children
