Yang & Kaz Hayashi (w/ Leia Meow) defeated Jamie Knoble & Evan Karagias at 9:23 in an unadvertised match when Yang pinned Noble with an inside cradle almost immediately after missing the Yang Time; after the bout, Noble & Karagias cleared the ring of their opponents
Ernest Miller (w/ Miss Jones) pinned Mike Sanders at 5:44 with the Feliner after Kronik fought off an interfering Shawn Stasiak & Mark Jindrak on the floor, with Bryan Clarke then entering the ring and stuffing Sanders’ own money in his mouth that Sanders gave Kronik earlier in the show; stipulations stated Miller would win Sanders’ commissioner role if he won and Sanders would win Miss Jones if he won; prior to the bout, Sanders cut an in-ring promo on the crowd and the stipulations of the match, with Cat eventually coming out and saying he would win the commissionership for the fans
Lance Storm, Mike Awesome, & Elix Skipper (w/ Major Gunns) defeated Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., & Billy Kidman (w/ Tygress) at 13:07 in a penalty box match when Kidman submitted to Storm’s Canadian Maple Leaf at 13:05; Jim Duggan was the guest referee for the bout; Team Canada was driven into the entrance stage area on their bus; following his entrance, Storm cut an in-ring promo before having the Canadian National Anthem play; Duggan explained the rules of the match after both teams’ entrances by saying anyone that disobeyed his call would be sent to the penalty box for a set period of time, thus giving the opposing team the advantage; penalties: Skipper for illegally double teaming Mysterio (1:06); Awesome for accidentally touching Duggan (1:19); Awesome for pulling Kidman’s hair from the ring apron (3:49); Storm for grabbing Duggan’s shirt (3:53); Mysterio and Kidman for double teaming (7:08); Tygress and Gunns for fighting on the floor after Tygress sprayed Gunns with a water bottle (8:01); Awesome and Skipper for double teaming on the floor (11:16); Tygress for hitting the Bronko Buster in the ring (11:40)
Meng defeated Crowbar (w/ Daffney) and WCW Hardcore Champion Terry Funk at 12:12 to win the title by pinning Funk with the Tongan Death Grip; Meng came to the ring in possession of the title belt after taking it earlier in the week; during his entrance, Funk grabbed Daffney, sitting ringside, and yanked her over the railing until Crowbar came out and attacked Funk to start the match; mid-way through the match, Crowbar came off a section of the audience seating to put Funk through a table but the spot wasn’t shown live, instead the director cut to a far off camera with the cameraman’s elbow taking up most of the screen; the move was later shown unobstructed in a replay
Chuck Palumbo & Sean O’Haire defeated WCW Tag Team Champions Kevin Nash & Diamond Dallas Page to win the titles at 11:17 when O’Haire pinned Nash with the Swanton after Buff Bagwell, in disguise, interfered behind the referee’s back and struck Nash with a monkey wrench; following the entrances, Mike Sanders, accompanied by Shawn Stasiak, Mark Jindrak, & Reno, came out and said he could make a substitution during the match whenever he wanted; moments later, Ric Flair, accompanied by security, ordered that Sanders and all the other members of the Natural Born Thrillers that weren’t wrestling would have to go backstage or they would be fined and suspended; late in the bout, Sanders and Stasiak ran out but were blocked in the aisle by security, with Lex Luger then coming out of the crowd with a chair and attempting to attack Nash; moments later, Page fought with Luger into the crowd, allowing Bagwell to interfere
Shane Douglas defeated WCW US Champion Gen. Rection in a first blood match to win the title at 11:36
Lex Luger & Buff Bagwell defeated Bill Goldberg & Dewayne Bruce in a No DQ match at 11:00 when Luger pinned Goldberg after Bagwell hit the Buff Blockbuster as Goldberg was on Luger’s shoulders; stipulations stated if Goldberg’s team lost then he would retire (Goldberg’s last appearance) (Goldberg: The Ultimate Collection)
WCW World Champion Scott Steiner defeated Jeff Jarrett, Sid Vicious, and Road Warrior Animal (mystery opponent) at 7:53 when Steiner pinned Sid; during the closing moments of the bout, Vicious sustained a compound fracture in his leg after attempting a jumping kick off the turnbuckle (Road Warrior Animal’s surprise return after a 5-year absence)

Tuesday Nitro – 1/23/01 – hosted by Tony Schiavone & Scott Hudson; included footage of WCW World Champion Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett, Lex Luger, & Buff Bagwell watching a tape of Sid Vicious’ breaking his leg, and snapping chicken wing bones as they made fun of him; featured Schiavone speculating on the future of WCW, with press clippings shown detailing Time Warner’s decision to sell the company; included an opening in-ring segment with CEO Ric Flair, Road Warrior Animal, Luger, & Bagwell, with Flair stating that WCW World Champion Scott Steiner would defend the title against Alex Wright at SuperBrawl Revenge, with Wright appearing on the entrance stage and dancing, only to be interrupted by Kevin Nash, who powerbombed Wright through the stage and then declared himself the #1 contender; moments later, Ernest Miller, along with Ms. Jones, declared Nash the #1 contender, with Flair stating Nash would have to defeat Bagwell to get the title match, and that the winner of Luger vs. Diamond Dallas Page later would be the referee for the qualifying match; featured a PPV promo for SuperBrawl Revenge; included Mike Sanders informing WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero Jr. that Flair had scouted two top cruiserweight talents to compete in the opening match; featured Kwee Wee, along with Paisley, screaming that he was all-man and challenging anyone to a fight, with a security guard taking him up on the challenge but being beaten down; included Luger & Bagwell informing WCW US Champion Shane Douglas that if he took Miller out tonight, he would be in Flair’s group; featured Gene Okerlund interviewing Gen. Rection & Corporal Cajun, with Rection honorably discharging Cajun from Misfits in Action and taking his MIA shirt, with Rection then ripping off his own shirt and stating Hugh Morrus was coming for Guerrero & the Wall:
Christopher Daniels fought Michael Modest to a no contest at 6:57 when WCW World Champion Scott Steiner interfered and attacked both wrestlers, attempted to break both their ankles, and then addressed the injury sustained by Sid Vicious at Sin, with Steiner claiming he was sending Sid two new friends to talk to in the hospital
Lance Storm (w/ Major Gunns, Mike Awesome, & Elix Skipper) defeated Konnan (w/ Tygress, Billy Kidman, and Rey Mysterio Jr.) via submission at 1:46 with the Canadian Maple Leaf; prior to the bout, Storm challenged Konnan to face him to settle the war between Team Canada and the Filthy Animals
Lex Luger defeated Diamond Dallas Page via KO at 6:37 with the Torture Rack after Jeff Jarrett interfered and broke a guitar over Page’s head
Big Vito & Johnny the Bull defeated Shawn Stasiak & Mark Jindrak via disqualification at 4:43 when WCW Tag Team Champions Chuck Palumbo & Sean O’Haire came to the ring and shoved the referee, ordering him to count Jindrak’s pinfall on Johnny the Bull while Vito had Stasiak covered at the same time; after the bout, Jindrak & Stasiak argued with Palumbo & O’Haire
Ernest Miller (w/ Ms. Jones) pinned WCW US Champion Shane Douglas at 3:43 with a side kick in a non-title No DQ Match, moments after Rick Steiner prevented Douglas from using a chain; during the match, Miller was attacked by Mike Sanders & WCW Tag Team Champion Sean O’Haire; prior to the match, CEO Ric Flair appeared on the video wall and declared the bout No DQ and non-title and that Miller’s status as commissioner was at stake
The Wall & WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Hugh Morrus & Lash LeRoux at 4:52 when Chavo pinned LeRoux with a roll up

WCW US Champion Rick Steiner pinned Dustin Rhodes at 9:14 with his feet on the ropes for leverage after dropping Rhodes face-first onto an exposed turnbuckle; after the match, Steiner dropped Rhodes with the Steiner Driver before cutting an in-ring promo; moments later, Rhodes fought off an attack and hit the Shattered Dreams
Lex Luger & Buff Bagwell defeated Kronik at 6:25 when Bagwell pinned Brian Adams with the Buff Blockbuster after Luger put him in the Torture Rack, moments after Mike Awesome – disguised as Bryan Clarke who faked an injury for the duration of the bout – attacked Adams; during the closing moments of the match, the real Clarke came out and brawled with Awesome in the aisle; due to pre-match stipulations, Luger & Bagwell earned a tag team title shot; after the bout, Kronik got in a backstage fight with security after they were ordered out of the building
Ernest Miller (w/ Ms. Jones) pinned Lance Storm at 8:08 with the Feliner after Storm became distracted by Ms. Jones knocking down an interfering Mike Sanders at ringside; due to pre-match stipulations, Miller won Storm’s commissioner role effective at midnight; after the match, it was announced Miller had been ejected from the building as well
Kanyon (sub. for Jeff Jarrett) pinned Diamond Dallas Page with the Flatliner at 8:16 after Jeff Jarrett interfered and hit the Stroke on DDP as the referee was knocked out; the match was scheduled as DDP vs. Jarrett but Jarrett said Page had unfinished business and showed footage of DDP issuing a challenge to Kanyon the previous Monday for anytime and any place, with Kanyon then attacking DDP from behind to start the match; after the contest, Kanyon introduced Jarrett for the scheduled match

WCW World Champion Scott Steiner (w/ Madajah) defeated Kevin Nash in a Best 2 out of 3 falls, falls count anywhere, No DQ loser leaves town match at 12:19, 2-1; fall #1: Nash pinned Steiner at the 18-second mark after hitting him in the face with the belt behind the referee’s back but Ric Flair – who did guest commentary for the match – said the match was a No DQ best 2 out of 3 falls contest and later added a falls count anywhere stipulation; backstage footage then showed Diamond Dallas Page making his way out to keep things even but he was attacked by Lex Luger & Buff Bagwell; fall #2: Stiener pinned Nash on the floor at 3:52 after hitting him in the head with a lead pipe; fall #3: Steiner defeated Nash via KO with the Steiner Recliner after hitting him with a steel chair, moments after Nash dropped Madajah with a side slam and Flair punched out referee Charles Robinson; prior to the bout, Steiner cut an in-ring promo in which he showed footage of Sid Vicious breaking his leg at Sin, with Ric Flair then announcing that the loser of the upcoming match would be forced to leave WCW forever, with the thought being Nash was too injured from the attack he took on Nitro to even make the show; as Robinson began counting Nash out of the ring, he was wheeled ringside by two young, attractive nurses before proving he wasn’t injured at all (Nash’s final WCW appearance)

Monday Nitro “Night of Champions” – the final WCW event; featured Vince McMahon opening the broadcast in a pretaped backstage segment from Cleveland, OH – site of that night’s WWF Monday Night Raw – in which he announced he bought WCW and would address the WCW fans and wrestlers later in the show during a simulcast on both the TNN and TNT networks; included an in-ring promo by Ric Flair in which he replied to McMahon’s comments he would hold the WCW stars in his hands – then naming Steamboat, the Steiners, Sting, Luger, Bagwell, Brisco, and the Road Warriors – and said “I don’t think so;” Flair then put WCW over as the greatest wrestling organization in the world and said when Vince McMahon Sr. was on the NWA Board of Directors he voted for Flair to become World Champion; Flair then named Sting as his greatest opponent in WCW and issued a challenge for Sting to face him later in the show; featured backstage footage of McMahon speaking on the phone with his attorney and insulting the Panama City crowd; included backstage footaage of McMahon sharing a drink with Trish Stratus before he started kissing her; featured a backstage promo by WCW World Champion Booker T in which he said this might be the end of a chapter – the end of WCW – but there were more pages in his book; included Michael Cole interviewing McMahon backstage in Cleveland about the fear some WCW wrestlers had they might never compete again, with Vince throwing him out of his lockerroom; featured William Regal meeting with McMahon backstage in which Regal warned McMahon about WCW; included footage from Vertical Horizon performing at Spinnakers during the 1-800 Collect WCW Spring Break Out 2001 segment; featured a promo by Diamond Dallas Page on the beach regarding WCW’s final show in which he thanked all the fans and his wife Kimberly for their support; included a vignette of many of the men associated with the NWA / WCW World Title – Dusty Rhodes, Sting, Ric Flair, the Great Muta, Lex Luger, Ron Simmons, Big Van Vader, Jack Brisco, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, DDP, Jeff Jarrett, the Giant, Lou Thesz, Dory Funk Jr., Terry Funk, Ron Garvin, Bret Hart, Sid Vicious, Barry Windham, Booker T, and Scott Steiner; Roddy Piper was the only person featured who never wore either title; featured backstage footage of McMahon getting ready for the simulcast; included a backstage promo by Sting regarding his match with Flair later in the show; a match between Shane Douglas and Rick Steiner was scheduled but did not happen:

Sting defeated Ric Flair via submission with the Scorpion Deathlock at 7:17 following a superplex; after the bout, Sting helped Flair to his feet and shook his hand before the two hugged; immediately after they hugged, the live WWF simulcast began from Cleveland, OH – commentated by Jim Ross & Paul Heyman – in which Vince McMahon cut an in-ring promo about his purchase of WCW and said the sale from Time-Warner would become final at WrestleMania X-7 when Ted Turner delivers him the contract; McMahon then discussed his upcoming match with his son Shane and said he would do to Shane what he did to WCW; he then said he could put WCW on the shelf or run it as a “media conglomerate” like WWF and listed several WCW stars to see if the crowd thought he should bring them to the WWF – Hulk Hogan, Lex Luger, Buff Bagwell, Booker T, Scott Steiner, Sting, and Goldberg; Goldberg received the biggest applause with Bagwell, Booker, and Steiner close behind; moments later, Shane McMahon walked to the ring in Panama City and said the deal with WCW was finalized but it was Shane’s name, not Vince’s, on the contract and Shane was now the owner of WCW; Shane then said he would beat Vince at WrestleMania just like WCW used to beat the WWF; the show ended with a promo for the Monday Night Raw main event – WWF World Champion the Rock & Steve Austin vs. the Undertaker & Kane – and a Rock / Austin WrestleMania commercial (The Very Best of Nitro)
– 3/28/01: The final WCW staff meeting was held at the Power Plant. During the meeting, 120 of the 140 employee workforce were terminated on the spot and asked to clear out their offices and leave anything belonging to Time Warner behind.
Worldwide – 4/1/01 – the final regularly scheduled weekly WCW broadcast; hosted by Mike Tenay & Scott Hudson; included highlights of Greed; featured an ad for WCW Mastercard featuring Buff Bagwell; included an “Ask WCW” segment where Tony Schiavone stated his favorite wrestler to interview was Larry Zbyszko, with Schiavone then laughing; featured a “Reel Time Wrestling” flashback to Bagwell vs. Diamond Dallas Page from Souled Out 2000; included a look back at the War Games match from Fall Brawl 1994; the show ended with Hudson stating “And this wraps up WCW Worldwide. Not just for this week, but forever and a day. WCW gone, Worldwide gone. We want to thank you for joining us each and every week here on WCW Worldwide. What a great crew we’ve had, it’s been a lot of fun taping these show, and you can see we have a really good time. For Mike Tenay, I’m Scott Hudson, we’ll see you down the road somewhere else.”
