NWA Tag Team Champions Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Doom at 13:13 when Rick pinned Butch Reed with a roll up, knocking Doom #2 off the apron, after Rick unmasked Reed and then put the mask on himself; prior to the match, pre-taped comments from both teams were shown; due to pre-match stipulations, the challengers were forced to unmask; after the bout, Gary Michael Cappetta announced if Doom #2 refused to unmask he would be suspended; moments later, Doom #2 unmasked, revealing himself as Ron Simmons
NWA World Champion Ric Flair, NWA TV Champion Arn Anderson, & Ole Anderson (sub. for Sting) defeated the Great Muta, Buzz Sawyer, & the Dragon Master in a steel cage match at 6:12 when Arn pinned Dragon Master after he and Ole threw Dragon Master face-first into the cage and then followed with the DDT; prior to the bout, pre-taped comments from Flair and each of Muta’s team were shown; because of the Horsmen’s attack on Sting earlier in the show, Muta, Sawyer, & Dragon Master were cheered as babyfaces for the match; there were numerous chants of “We want Sting” during the contest; Sting appeared at the 3-minute mark and attempted to scale the cage to get at Flair but was held back and taken backstage; he returned moments later, with Flair climbing the cage as well to meet him, but was held back by security, Brian Pillman, Tom Zenk, NWA Tag Team Champion Scott Steiner, and security; while scaling the cage, Sting suffered a serious knee injury and had to have help to stand; immediately after the bout, Flair left the cage and attacked Sting in the aisle, with other wrestlers and security eventually breaking up the fight to close the broadcast (Muta’s last appearance for 10 months)

Dean Malenko defeated WCW Cruiserweight Champion the Ultimo Dragon (w/ Sonny Onoo) to win the title at around the 15-minute mark via submission with the Texas Cloverleaf after knocking Onoo off the ring apron; Mike Tenay did guest commentary for the bout; during the match, it was announced Rey Mysterio Jr. was sidelined with an injury and would not face WCW TV Champion Lord Steven Regal during the broadcast as originally scheduled (Mysterio / Regal was not advertised) (The Best of Clash of the Champions)

Chris Benoit (w/ Woman) pinned Kevin Sullivan (w/ Jimmy Hart) in a falls count anywhere match at 5:11 after Woman hit Sullivan over the head with a wooden chair as Sullivan and the referee tried to get Hart’s megaphone; the two spent the opening minutes of the bout brawling in the bathroom; after the match, Benoit grabbed a second wooden chair from underneath the ring and shattered it over Sullivan
Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Jacques Rougeau & Carl Ouelette (w/ Col. Rob Parker) at around the 5:30 mark when Scott pinned Oulette following the DDT off the top double team; during the Steiners’ entrance, WCW Tag Team Champions Kevin Nash & Scott Hall appeared on the big screen and cut a promo on facing the Steiners at Souled Out (Scott’s return match after a 5-month absence)
Lex Luger defeated WCW Tag Team Champion Scott Hall (w/ WCW Tag Team Champion Kevin Nash & Syxx) via disqualification at 11:28 when Syxx came off the top with a kick to Luger as Luger fought off both Hall & Nash; during Hall’s entrance, Tony Schiavone wished a happy 35th birthday to “longtime WCW supporter” Brian Hildebrandt (referee Mark Curtis, who was the official for the match); after the bout, Rick & Scott Steiner helped make the save with the six men brawling off and on to close the broadcast

Steve McMichael pinned WCW US Champion Jeff Jarrett (w/ Debra) to win the title at around the 8-minute mark after Eddie Guerrero interfered and accidentally hit Jarrett with the title belt after coming off the top behind the referee’s back; after the bout, Debra tried to reconcile with McMichael at ringside but he walked off
Raven pinned Stevie Richards in a No DQ match with the DDT at 5:04; prior to the bout, Raven grabbed the mic and said if he was going to wrestle for WCW it would be under his terms and the match would be No DQ; Richards agreed and the stipulation was added
Alex Wright pinned WCW TV Champion the Ultimo Dragon to win the title with a German suplex into a bridge at 11:23; Mike Tenay did guest commentary for the bout

WCW Tag Team Champions Scott Hall & Randy Savage (w/ Elizabeth) defeated Lex Luger & Diamond Dallas Page at 9:57 when Hall pinned Luger after DDP accidentally dropped Luger with the Diamond Cutter; prior to the bout, black and white balloons fell from the rafters as Savage, Elizabeth, Hall, Kevin Nash, Buff Bagwell, Scott Norton, Vincent, Syxx, and Konnan appeared with Nash announcing, in an effort to give back to the fans, Savage would be defending the tag team titles with Hall; Nash was in Hall & Savage’s corner early on but was ejected by referee Nick Patrick after he threw Luger into the ringpost; after the bout, nWo fliers fell from the ceiling (The Best of Clash of the Champions)
