May 10, 2002 – Jerry Jarrett announced the formation of a new weekly pay-per-view series called Total Nonstop Action, which would be a part of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)

Weekly PPV #1 – included an opening segment with Mike Tenay, Ed Ferrara, & Don West on commentary discussing the NWA’s tradition and explaining the rules of the Gauntlet for the Gold match; a legends ceremony was then held with Harley Race, Dory Funk Jr , Jackie Fargo, Bob Armstrong, Corsica Joe, Sara Lee, Bill Behrens, and Ricky Steamboat; Steamboat praised the new TNA brand and the NWA World Title, and announced he would referee the title match later that night; Jeff Jarrett then interrupted and called the battle royal a joke, angering Fargo; Ken Shamrock then came out to argue about the gauntlet; moments later, Scott Hall interrupted and told them both to “stop crying about it;” featured a backstage segment in which Goldylocks interviewed Puppet the Hardcore Midget, and Jarrett was seen in the background yelling about Fargo; included a backstage segment in which Jarrett attacked Fargo; featured a backstage segment in which Goldylocks conducted an interview with the Dupps, who introduced their shared girlfriend Fluff Dupp and drank beer; Behrens interrupted and told them to stop drinking because they had a match; included a segment in which NASCAR drivers Sterling Marlin and Hermie Sadler were introduced to the crowd and talked racing with Jeremy Borash until K-Krush (Ron Killings) interrupted and insulted NASCAR; Brian Christopher then came out and tossed Krush from the ring before challenging him to a match the following week; featured Toby Keith singing “Angry American” until Jarrett shoved him out of the way and marched to the ring for the main event:
Sonny Siaki, Jimmy Yang, & Jorge Estrada defeated AJ Styles, Jerry Lynn, & Low-Ki at 6:27 when Yang pinned Styles with Yang Time; Siaki, Yang, & Estrada dressed as Elvis Presley impersonators and called themselves the Flying Elvises for the match; the honorees from the earlier legends ceremony were shown watching backstage and shaking their heads in disgust at the gimmick
Teo pinned Hollywood in 2:49 after hitting a Twisting Swanton Bomb; after the match, Ed Ferrera introduced the women who would compete in a lingerie battle royal the next week, and Francine grabbed the mic and reminded them all that she was the Queen of Extreme; Elektra accused Francine of driving ECW to bankruptcy and a fight broke out as the other women watched
Richard & Rod Johnson (w/ Mortimer Plumtree) defeated James Storm & Psychosis at 4:49 when Rod pinned Storm after hitting a Samoan neckbreaker; during the match Alicia (Ryan Shamrock) came ringside and distracted referee Slick Johnson; after the bout, Johnson was seen giving Alicia money
Bo & Stan Dupp (w/ Fluff Dupp) defeated Christian York & Joey Matthews at 3:39 when Bo pinned York after Fluff pushed him off the top

Ken Shamrock pinned Malice (w/ James Mitchell) at 6:22 with a belly to belly suplex; Ricky Steamboat was the guest referee for the bout; after Shamrock’s win, Jeff Jarrett interrupted the presentation of the belt and complained again about crowning a NWA World Champion in a battle royal before attacking Bob Armstrong and Dory Funk Jr until Scott Hall, Jackie Fargo, and Toby Keith chased Jarrett off to close the show (Best of NWA-TNA Title Matches, TNA’s 50 Greatest Moments)
NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #2 – 6/26/02 – featured Mike Tenay, Ed Ferrara, & Don West on commentary; included Jeremy Borash as the ring announcer for the show; prior to the main event, Ricky Steamboat came to the ring and introduced new NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ken Shamrock; Shamrock promised to defend the championship with honor, but he was interrupted by James Mitchell; Mitchell said he was on a mission “from my God” and said the Disciples of the New Church would take Shamrock’s title; he then challenged Shamrock to defend against one of his men, and Slash came out; Shamrock laughed and called Slash a joke, but Mitchell said he had somebody else in mind; Malice then snuck into the ring behind Shamrock and attacked him; he dropped Shamrock with a chokeslam and continued to choke him out until referees and TNA security pried him off the champion:
Scott Hall (w/ Jackie Fargo & Toby Keith) pinned Jeff Jarrett at 7:00 after Hall and Keith both hit Jarrett with the Stroke as the referee was distracted by K-Krush and Brian Christopher brawling at ringside
Cheex (w/ Brown-Eyed Girl) pinned Frank Parker at 2:08 after hitting a splash; during the bout, Mike Tenay noted Parker was trained by Jimmy Valiant and was a veteran of the independent wrestling scene in North Carolina; during the match, Alicia came ringside and talked to ring announcer Jeremy Borash, who gave her some money just as Slick Johnson had done the week before
Brian Christopher (w/ Hermie Sadler & Sterling Marlin) pinned K-Krush at 4:47 after hitting the Hip Hop Drop; during the match, Krush tried to walk out on the match but was crotched on the second rope by Sadler and Marlin
Taylor Vaughn won a Miss TNA lingerie battle royal at 4:41; other participants included Francine, Joanie, Shannon (Daffney), Alexis Laree, Miss Sasha, Elektra, and Erin Bray; order of elimination: Tyler by Elektra, Sasha by Shannon, Erin (not shown), Francine by Elektra, Shannon, & Joanie, Joanie by Shannon, Shannon, Laree, and Elektra by Vaughn; after she was eliminated, an angry Francine attacked commentator Ed Ferrera and whipped him with his own belt; after the match, she then whipped Vaughn with the belt until referees intervened
Chris Harris & James Storm defeated Lenny Lane & Bruce at 4:47; prior to the match, Joel Gertner introduced the Rainbow Express, saying “I don’t care what they do in the hotel room as long as they concentrate in the ring;” their scheduled opponents, the Dupps, refused to wrestle “them alternative lifestyle boys” and so NWA official Bill Behrens asked Harris & Storm to take their spot in the match; Harris & Storm agreed and wrestled the match in their street clothes (first appearance of America’s Most Wanted as a team)
Apolo pinned David Young (w/ Bobcat) at 5:26 after hitting a Superkick and a TKO; during the match, Bobcat distracted everyone, including both wrestlers, the referee, ring announcer Jeremy Borash, and the ringside fans
AJ Styles defeated Low Ki, Psicosis, and Jerry Lynn in a double elimination gauntlet match at 25:54; stipulations stated the winner would be the first NWA X Division Champion; Styles pinned Psicosis at 2:02 with the Styles Clash; Styles pinned Low Ki with a sit-down facebuster at 4:24; Lynn pinned Styles with the cradle piledriver at 4:44; Lynn pinned Psicosis with the cradle piledriver at 7:44; Lynn pinned Low Ki with a DDT; Styles pinned Lynn with the Styles Clash; Ricky Steamboat then officiated the final fall; Styles pinned Lynn with the Spinal Tap; after the match, fireworks exploded over the ring as confetti fell from the ceiling and Steamboat presented Styles with the title belt (The Best of the X-Division, Phenomenal: The Best of AJ Styles, TNA’s 50 Greatest Moments, The History of TNA: Year One)

NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #3 – first show in the TNA Asylum; included an opening segment in which NWA President Jim Miller presented a trophy to Mike Tenay to welcome TNA to the NWA family; Miller announced that the winner of the NWA World Champion Ken Shamrock vs Malice match would defend the title against Takao Omori on the next TNA show; after the opening match, Jeff Jarrett and Scott Hall had a confrontation, leading to Miller setting up the tag team main event; K-Krush then came through the crowd and attacked Hall; Hall eventually fought him off and knocked him out of the ring; footage was then shown of Chris Harris & James Storm lying in a pool of blood backstage, apparently attacked; soon thereafter, Goldylocks announced backstage that Miller had disappeared, and Puppet the Pyscho Dwarf showed up and demanded competition; featured a segment where Shamrock came to the ring and asked why Monty Brown thought he deserved a title shot after one match; the lights then went out after James Mitchell appeared, and when they came back on Shamrock was lying unconscious in the ring with Malice standing over him; Bill Behrens was then seen on the phone backstage, complaining that Shamrock, Harris, and Storm had all been taken out and Miller was nowhere to be found; Jerry Lynn then showed up and offered to find a partner and take Harris & Storm’s place in the NWA World Tag Team Title tournament final; included Goldylocks reporting that medics were working on Shamrock and would not clear him to wrestle; featured a segment where Hermie Sadler talked about TNA and NASCAR until K-Krush interrupted; Sadler attacked him and the two brawled until security pulled them apart; included a segment before the tournament final in which Joel Gertner bragged to Goldylocks that the Rainbow Express would win by forfeit, then grabbing Goldy and kissing her; Jeremy Borash then announced that Jerry Lynn & AJ Styles would take Harris & Storm’s place in the match After the match Jim Miller was finally found backstage, tied up with “FU” written on his stomach
NWA Tag Team Championship Tournament Semi-Finals: Chris Harris & James Storm defeated Richard & Rod Johnson (w/ Mortimer Plumtree) when Harris scored the pin at 4:41; after the match, Plumtree screamed at his team until they shoved him to the mat and walked backstage without him; Plumtree chased after the Johnsons and yelled “We can still be friends!”
Monty Brown pinned Abraham Abrams in 1:32 with a powerbomb; prior to the bout, Brown announced he wanted a match with NWA World Champion Ken Shamrock (Brown’s debut)
NWA Tag Team Championship Tournament Semi-Finals: Lenny Lane & Bruce (w/ Joel Gertner) defeated Buff Bagwell & Apolo when Lenny pinned Bagwell at 5:48 after hitting a superkick; after the bout, Bagwell told Ed Ferrera that he was tired of being Buff and wanted to just be Marcus Bagwell, then adding, “I’m done and I’m going home ”
Puppet the Pyscho Dwarf pinned Todd Stone at 1:54 in a hardcore midgets match after putting a trash can over Stone’s head and body, hitting it repeatedly with a kendo stick, and then hitting a Stunner on Stone; after the match, Puppet attacked Jeremy Borash and Don West with the kendo stick and chased a pack of referees backstage
Francine defeated Taylor Vaughn via disqualification at the 43-second mark when Vaughn hit referee Scott Armstrong with a leather strap, brought into the match by Francine; after the match, Ed Ferrera got into the ring to congratulate Francine, who placed his hand on her breast and then attacked him for touching it
NWA World Champion Ken Shamrock pinned Malice (w/ James Mitchell) at 5:53 with a belly to belly suplex
TNA X Division Champion AJ Styles pinned David Young (w/ Bobcat) at 8:46 with a Styles Clash from the second rope
NWA Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals: TNA X Division Champion AJ Styles & Jerry Lynn (sub for an injured Chris Harris & James Storm) defeated Lenny Lane & Bruce (w/ Joel Gertner) at 12:22 when Styles pinned Lane after hitting Spiral Tap; after the bout, fireworks went off in the arena
Jeff Jarrett & K-Krush defeated Scott Hall & Brian Christopher when Jarrett pinned Hall at 11:41 after Christopher turned on his partner, Jarrett hit the Stroke on Hall, and Christopher hit the Hip Hop Drop on Hall; after the bout, Jarrett took the mic and said Hall “isn’t worth a shit,” noted he ran him out of the WWF and WCW and would do the same in NWA-TNA; Jarrett then hit Hall with the NWA trophy and continued to attack him as EMTs tried to tend to Hall

NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #4 – included a segment where Jeff Jarrett told Goldylocks that he was getting ready for his NWA World Heavyweight Title shot, with Bill Behrens interrupting to tell Jarrett that he had to get in line The actual challenger, Takeo Omori, was later seen warming up for his match backstage when Alicia walked up to him Omori gave her some money before she walked away smiling Other segments saw Goldylocks interview the Dupps, who took turns making out with cousin/girlfiend Fluff Dupp Jeremy Borash then introduced porn star Jasmine St Clair, who came to the ring and did a striptease for him until Behrens ran out and threw a towel over her Ed Ferrera entered the ring and tackled Behrens, and the two rolled around on the mat until security broke up the segment Behrens was later found backstage stripped to his underwear and tied up At the end of the show Jeff Jarrett came to the ring and complained once again about not getting a Title match He also insulted Tennessee Titans football players in the front row, so they jumped over the guardrail and attacked Jarrett The Disciples of the New Church came out and pulled Jarrett from the melee, but Malice then surprised everyone and Chokeslammed Jarrett to end the show
TNA X-Division Champion AJ Styles & Jerry Lynn defeated Tempest (Devon Storm) & Slash (with James Mitchell) in 10:34 to retain the NWA World Tag Team Titles During the match Styles & Lynn showed signs that their competitive rivalry over the X-Division Title was fraying their partnership, especially when Styles tagged himself in to make the pin on Tempest Later in the show Lynn attacked Styles backstage and knocked him out with a Cradle Piledriver on to a briefcase Lynn called Styles a “glory hog” and stormed off
Brian Lawler pinned Norman Smiley in 4:44 Before the match Lawler announced that he wanted to be known by his real name, not as Brian Christopher
Hermie Sadler defeated K-Krush by reverse decision in 5:06 when K-Krush would not stop attacking Sadler after defeating him by pinfall with his feet on the ropes
Cassidy Riley & Chase Stevens fought Jay & Mark Briscoe to a no contest when Malice, alongside James Mitchell, interfered at the 2:09 mark and took all four men out with chokeslams; Mitchell then challenged NWA World Champion Ken Shamrock come out and again face Malice; when Shamrock did not appear, Malice prepared to drop the timekeeper with a powerbomb until Shamrock appeared; Malice then was about to drop Shamrock with the chokeslam until Takeo Omori made the save
Jorge Estrada & Sonny Siaki defeated Bo & Stan Dupp (with Fluff Dupp) in 5:02 when Estrada pinned Stan
NWA World Champion Ken Shamrock fought Takao Omori to a no contest when Jeff Jarrett interfered and hit both men with a metal folding chair at the 7:42 mark as Shamrock had Omori in the Ankle Lock He then hit Harley Race, who sat at ringside for the match, over the head with the same chair Security ran out to take Jarrett away, but he attacked them with the chair as well
Low-Ki defeated Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, Jerry Lynn, Kid Romeo, and Tony Mamaluke in an elimination match at 21:31; stipulations stated the winner would challenge NWA X Division Champion AJ Styles the following week; order of elimination: Lynn at 10:37 via count- out; Mamaluke at 11:30; Skipper at 14:55; Romeo at 17:03, Daniels; after the match the Flying Elvises attacked Daniels, Low-Ki, and Skipper until the rest of the X-Division wrestlers chased them off (The Best of the X-Division)

NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #5 – Opened with footage of Goldylocks trying to interview NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ken Shamrock, who told her to “Back off, bitch!” Cameras then cut to live footage of Jeff Jarrett and Scott Hall brawling backstage, and Bill Behrens ejected Jarrett from the building As a result Jarrett had to forfeit his place in a #1 contender Ladder match with Malice He was later shown trying to get back in the building, but security kept him out After that TNA X-Division and NWA World Tag Team Champion AJ Styles came to the ring and ordered Jerry Lynn, his partner, to apologize to him for attacking him on last week’s show Lynn said “I don’t owe you shit” and pointed out that he’d been in wrestling for 10 years longer than Styles He said that he gave Styles an opportunity to be his partner and Styles repaid him by taking his spotlight Lynn told Styles that he would be forced to respect him, and as Lynn went to leave Styles attacked him and gave him the Styles Clash Goldylocks then tried to interview Jasmine St Claire backstage, but Francine attacked St Claire and tossed her into a cold shower Goldylocks later interviewed Puppet the Pyscho Dwarf, whom she apparently caught masturbating as he hid in a trash can Puppet called himself “the midget killer” and offered to show her his “cobra ” Goldylocks then had to interview the Dupps, who she found playing “spin the bottle” with girlfriend/cousin Fluff Dupp Before the main event Brian Lawler got angry when fans chanted “Jerry’s kid” at him Lawler ran down his father, noting that he was married to younger women three times and would never see his son wrestle in NWA-TNA because “on Wednesday nights he likes to hand out candy at the local high school ” Scott Hall then snuck into the ring from behind Lawler as Lawler joked that Hall was too busy getting drunk to make the show
Sabu defeated Malice (with James Mitchell & Tempest) in a 13:20 #1 contender Ladder match Malice was to face Jeff Jarrett, but he was thrown out of the TNA Asylum Mitchell then made an open challenge to anyone in the building, and the lights went out When they came back on Sabu was in the ring pointing to the heavens, accepting the challenge Tempest repeatedly interfered in the match, and after Sabu won the bout Slash & Tempest attacked Sabu until Malice Chokeslammed him from the ring and through a table at ringside
K-Krush pinned Norman Smiley in 3:20 Before the match K-Krush cut a promo in which he said that the WWE released him because they were afraid of him becoming a huge star He said that TNA was not treating him right and he said that would take what was rightfully is K-Krush referred to himself as “the Truth” for the first time in this segment, and after the match he whipped Smiley with his belt and then hung him over the top rope with it Smiley’s wife came to ringside and begged K-Krush to let go, but instead he chased after her until security got in the way Goldylocks later tried to interview K-Krush about his actions, but he was attacked by Scott Hall “Two down, one to go,” Hall said
Jorge Estrada & Sonny Siaki defeated Christopher Daniels & Elix Skipper in 9:47 when Siaki pinned Skipper after hitting the Money Clip During the match Siaki repeatedly joined the broadcast team and put himself over After the match the Dupps hit the wrong and attacked Estrada after Siaki ran away
Puppet the Pyscho Dwarf pinned Meatball in a 6:12 Hardcore midgets match after hitting a splash from the second rope on to Meatball, who had a metal folding chair on his chest After the match Teo was seen in one of the go-go cages with a TNA dancer He ripped off a part of her top and waved excitedly at the fans as the dancer ran backstage
Francine vs Jasmine St Claire in a Catfight was a no contest St Claire came to the ring wearing a wet T-shirt and no bra, and early in the match she ripped off Francine’s top and Francine ripped off St Claire’s shorts Francine then used her belt to whip St Claire’s bare bottom until the Blue Meanie interfered at the 1:21 mark and hit Francine with a DDT to save his real-life wife EMTs came to the ring and took Francine away on a stretcher (The Blue Meanie’s TNA debut )
NWA World Tag Team Champion AJ Styles pinned Low-Ki in 10:33 with the Styles Clash to retain the TNA X-Division Title Late in the match Low-Ki went for a Spiral Moonsault from the top rope, but Styles caught him in mid-air and turned it into his finisher After the match Styles was attacked on the ramp by fellow NWA World Tag Team Champion Jerry Lynn, who hit him with a Cradle Piledriver in the ring and then started attacking Styles with a ladder Lynn gave Styles a second Cradle Piledriver before leaving the ring
Scott Hall pinned Brian Lawler in 8:48 after hitting the Edge Late in the match K-Krush attempted to interfere and attack Hall, but Hall fought him off After the match K-Krush and Lawler double-teamed Hall and used a belt to hang Hall from the top rope NWA officials eventually freed Hall, and EMTs placed Hall on a stretcher to take him backstage Suddenly one of the EMTs was revealed to be Jeff Jarrett in disguise, and he attacked Hall and the real medics with a metal folding chair to end the show

NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #6 – Opened with Jeff Jarrett in the ring demanding a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Title that night He took out security guards and refused to leave until he got his way Cameras then showed Ken Shamrock, the Champion, backstage going through security guards in an attempt to meet Jarrett in the ring Shamrock trapped the guards and NWA officials outside the building and told young wrestler Ian Harrison to guard the door Back in the ring Jarrett was confronted by NWA Vice President Bill Behrens, who suspended him for 60 days Behrens told him he could leave with dignity or be dragged out by security, not realizing that security was trapped outside Jarrett attacked Behrens with a metal folding chair until Shamrock made the save Monty Brown and Apolo ran out and pulled Shamrock off of Jarrett, who then smashed Shamrock over the head with his chair Brown & Apolo stared at Jarrett angrily until Brian Lawler and K-Krush came out and got Jarrett backstage unharmed Jarrett later tried to leave the building but was stopped by Harrison Shamrock, unconscious, was later shown backstage being tended to by a doctor When Shamrock woke up he slammed the doctor against a wall and demanded to know where Jarrett went Shamrock found Jarrett just before the main event and the two briefly fought backstage until security broke it up Also included in-ring comments from K-Krush, who announced that he would be known as “the Truth” from now on He mentioned star athletes who were held down because of their criminal pasts but persevered and won anyway Monty Brown interrupted, noted that he’d been in two Super Bowls, and said that he worked for his success instead of asking for handouts Truth tried to attack Brown, but Brown quickly got the upperhand and took Truth out with a suplex A taped Mike Tenay interview with NWA World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Jerry Lynn was then shown Styles said that Lynn “opened my eyes” and deserved his respect Lynn said he was just like Styles 10 years earlier, but realized that you have to “pay a lot of dues” in wrestling After their Title defense Disco Inferno made his TNA debut He bragged about beating old WWF jobber Barry Horowitz 16 times and called himself an icon He said that he wanted to aide young stars like Styles and help old stars like Lynn look younger He also offered to teach southerners like Jarrett how to speak english and said he would debut a new talk show called Jive Talkin’
Low-Ki pinned the Amazing Red in 7:27 after hitting the Ki Krusher (Amazing Red’s TNA debut )
Chris Harris & James Storm defeated Cassidy Riley & Chase Stevens in 5:17 when Storm pinned Riley with a Northern Lights Suplex Before the match the Hotshots insulted Harris & Storm in the ring, and taped comments from Harris & Storm were shown Harris asked Storm to ditch his cowboy gimmick and to stop bringing cap guns to the ring After the match the Hotshots attacked Harris & Storm
Apolo pinned Brian Lawler in 7:01 with a rollup when Lawler danced in the ring instead of staying on his opponent After the match Lawler attacked color commentator Don West for insulting him
TNA X-Division Champion AJ Styles & Jerry Lynn defeated Jorge Estrada & Jimmy Yang (with Sonny Siaki) in 16:20 to retain the NWA World Tag Team Titles when Lynn pinned Estrada Styles was set up to hit Spiral Tap on Yang when Lynn scored the fall on Estrada, angering Styles
Monty Brown & Elix Skipper defeated Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger in 5:35 when Brown pinned Diamond after hitting a Powerbomb After the match the Truth attacked Brown as Skipper walked away
Ian Harrison defeated Bo Dupp (with Stan Dupp) by DQ when Stan broke up a pin attempt at the 2:58 mark The match was set up when the Dupps announced they would wrestle the first person they bumped into, which turned out to be Harrison
Ken Shamrock vs Sabu in a Submissions or Ladder match was a no contest when Malice interfered at the 9:32 mark Shamrock therefore retained the NWA World Heavyweight Title Late in the match Sabu laid Shamrock on a ringside table and then set up for a Triple Jump Moonsault to put Shamrock through the table Shamrock moved, however, and Sabu crashed through the wood on his own Shamrock then climbed the ladder and looked ready to win the match when the lights went out When they came back on Malice was in the ring and he Chokeslammed Shamrock from the top of the ladder Malice then climbed the ladder himself and took the belt, leaving the arena with it (The Best of the Asylum Years: Volume 1)

NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #7 – After the opening bout Mike Tenay announced that Ricky Steamboat was not in the building, but did issue a ruling that Malice must return the NWA World Heavyweight Title belt to rightful champion Ken Shamrock Tenay also announced that Steamboat lifted the suspension on Jeff Jarrett, who would wrestle Scott Hall in the main event Cameras then caught Elix Skipper slowing making his way up the entrance ramp after losing to AJ Styles Monty Brown suddenly attacked him on the ramp and left him laying in the ring Immediately after this Jarrett came to the ring with a bodybag and said he would “amuse myself” since Steamboat, Shamrock, and NWA Vice President Bill Behrens were all absent He pulled midget wrestler Todd Stone out of the bag and beat him down Jarrett made an open challenge, which was answered by Puppet the Psycho Dwarf Puppet pulled a gun on Jarrett, who knocked him out with a metal folding chair Steamboat then showed up to restore order, and Jarrett challenged him to a match Steamboat acted as if he was going to accept, but Scott Hall then attacked Jarrett from behind and chased him from the ring Hall promised to send Jarrett out on a stretcher Later on Goldylocks interviewed Steamboat and asked him why anyone would listen to him when they ignored Behrens Steamboat acted disgusted at being compared to Behrens and stormed off Right after this the Truth entered the TNA Asylum and noticed an African-American dancer in one of the go-go cages on the entrance stage He told her that “they” caged and exposed her for their own benefit, and he called her “a $2 whore” for accepting it The dancer slapped him and Truth prepared to spank her with his belt before Monty Brown attacked him The brawl eventually ended when Truth broke a 2×4 over Brown’s back Steamboat then came out and told Truth to come out and earn some respect Truth pointed out that Steamboat was never given a shot at the WWF World Heavyweight Title and noted that he, the Truth, was held back the same way He asked Steamboat to right a wrong by giving him a Title shot Steamboat agreed and gave him a match with Shamrock on the next show Also included the first edition of Disco Inferno’s “Jive Talking” interview show He introduced Goldylocks as his first guest, and said she would expose her breasts Goldylocks angrily said she was out there to talk about her singing career and started to leave Disco convinced her to stay and they talked music for a few moments before he again asked her to take off her shirt She again refused, so Disco made fun of her Goldy attacked Disco until Paulina (of WWE Tough Enough) attacked her and helped Disco to the locker room
NWA World Tag Team Champion AJ Styles (with NWA World Tag Team Champion Jerry Lynn) pinned Elix Skipper in 12:37 after hitting Spiral Tap to retain the TNA X-Division Title Lynn joined the commentary team during the match and said there were no problems between himself and Styles After the match he climbed into the ring and raised Styles’ hand in victory
Slash (with James Mitchell) pinned Sonny Siaki in 7:37 after hitting a Neckbreaker After the match Mitchell painted Siaki’s face with “the blood of the audad ” TNA Head of Security Don Harris ran out and fought Slash off before going nose-to-nose with Malice Before the match Siaki told Goldylocks that he gave the other members of the Flying Elvises the night off, “because one Sonny is better than three Elvises ”

Jeff Jarrett pinned Scott Hall at 12:04 after hitting the Stroke The two brawled all over the TNA Asylum, and at about the 11:00 mark Hall hit the Edge on Jarrett and went for the pin The Truth pulled the referee from the ring to break up the count, so Monty Brown came out to fight Truth The brawl was then joined by Malice, Slash, Don Harris, AJ Styles, and Jerry Lynn, who fought all over the building During the confusion Jarrett tried to use a metal folding chair on Hall but was thwarted by Ricky Steamboat Hall then tried to use the chair on Jarrett, but Steamboat stopped him as well Jarrett took advantage of the distraction and hit his finisher on Hall for the win

NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #9 – Opened with new NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ron Killings coming to the ring and talked about “being a black man in a white man’s world ” He said that TNA gave him an opportunity to realize a dream Jeff Jarrett then interrupted and told Killings to “put your dream away ” Jarrett said that Killings was only the Champion due to reverse discrimination, because Jarrett still had not received a shot at the Title NWA Vice President Bill Behrens showed up and said they could “fight all you want,” but not for the Title Jarrett started to go after Behrens but was attacked by Brian Lawler Lawler screamed “I knew it was you!” at Jarrett as security pulled him away After the opening match the Dupps took Goldylocks on a tour of their home, which turned out to be an outhouse She later interviewed Jarrett and asked what Lawler was talking about, but he refused to answer He then went in the men’s room and attacked Behrens Goldylocks later interviewed the Flying Elvises about their 4-way match with Low-Ki Jorge Estrada & Jimmy Yang said it would be hard to fight each other, but Sonny Siaki said the team was “all about me” and said the fans should worship him After that match a taped Goldylocks interview with NWA World Tag Team Champion Jerry Lynn was aired Lynn said that he and AJ Styles could still co-exist and defend their Titles, but he then pulled into a store parking lot, found Styles, and attacked him Next was another “Jive Talking” segment with Disco Inferno, who interviewed actor Dean Baldwin Baldwin complemented TNA and talked about filming a move in Nashville called “Urban Hearthrob ” Lawler suddently interrupted and screamed about Jarrett When Baldwin confronted Lawler he was attacked until TNA security pulled Lawler away and evicted him from the building At the very end of the broadcast Lawler was seen attacking Jarrett backstage Lawler said, “I know what you did and I’m going to kill you “

The Amazing Red pinned Shark Boy with the InfraRed and Red Star Press at 6:52; Elix Skipper provided guest commentary for the contest, argued why he was taken out of the scheduled main event, and said throughout that he should be the one in the ring and he wasn’t being used as he should; Mike Tenay said only that he knew it was no longer a handicap main event but now a regular tag team match between BG James & Syxx-Pac vs. Jeff Jarrett & Brian Lawler; Mortimer Plumbtree was shown watching on from the ramp during the match; after the contest, Skipper attacked Red, and fought off several security guards who tried to pull him away; Ron Harris eventually cleared Skipper from the ring (Shark Boy’s debut)
NWA World Champion Ron Killings pinned Low Ki with the Truth Conviction at 12:58; the match was scheduled to be Jose & Joel Maximo vs. Jorge Estrada & Jimmy Yang, with Killings coming out before the entrances, taking the mic, and insulting Low Ki; Killings then said Ki was going to have to kill him to beat him, then told him to come out then for the match; after the bout, Killings took the mic and was about to cut a promo until he was attacked from behind by a man wearing a white sweatsuit and mask; moments later, the man ran off and escaped back into the crowd
Jose & Joel Maximo defeated Jorge Estrada & Jimmy Yang at 8:48 when Joel pinned Estrada with Maximo Explosion, moments after Sonny Siaki appeared ringside and distracted Estrada; during the bout, it was noted the winner would challenge the NWA Tag Team Champions the following week; moments later, Goldy Locks attempted to conduct a backstage interview with Siaki, with NWA X Division Champion Jerry Lynn jumping Siaki from rignside; moments later, AJ Styles held Lynn, allowing Siaki to assault Lynn before then stuffing him in a box backstage; Siaki then went back out for his match

NWA Tag Team Champions Chris Harris & James Storm defeated Ron Harris & Ashley Hudson at 7:03 when Harris pinned Hudson after Harris accidentally kicked Hudson in the face; after the contest, Harris tended to his partner before again kicking him in the face, then dropping him with a chokeslam; Harris then hit the champions and Hudson with a steel chair, eventually fighting off TNA security as well; Don Harris then appeared, with the two arguing until Don decked Ron; Harris & Storm then had to be held back as they attempted to get at Ron Harris
NWA X Division Champion Jerry Lynn defeated AJ Styles in a ladder match via reverse decision; Styles initially won the match and title at 17:27 after Sonny Siaki, who watched the majority of the match from the entrance, distracted the champion; after the bout, Lynn attacked Siaki until Styles helped in double teaming Lynn; moments later, Jorge Estrada, Jimmy Yang, Shark Boy, and Amazing Red ran out to make the save and tend to Lynn; Bob Armstrong then came out to the ring, took the mic, and said Styles and Siaki’s plans wouldn’t work; Armstrong then said there would be a ladder rematch the following week and that Lynn was still the champion
BG James & Syxx-Pac defeated Jeff Jarrett & Brian Lawler (w/ April) in a No DQ match at 9:38 when James pinned Lawler with the pumphandle slam; during their entrance, James took the mic and told Jarrett & Lawler that paybacks were a bitch and they would make Jarrett & Lawler into their bitches; Syxx-Pac then said Lawler was treating April like a bitch while Syxx-Pac was banging her behind his back, then adding if he won then he might let Lawler watch next time; Lawler then ran towards James & Pac on the floor to open the match; during the match, Elix Skipper came out to be in Jarrett & Lawler’s corner; after the bout, Jarrett and Skipper jumped James & Pac; moments later, Amazing Red, Jose & Joel Maximo ran out to make the save; moments later, Jarrett hit members of the opposiding side with a steel chair as NWA World Champion Ron Killings came out and hit James and Pac with his title belt as the show ended

NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #16 – Opened with NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ron Killings complaining about being attacked by a mystery man (Mr Wrestling III,) leading to the opening match After the bout TNA X-Division Champion Jerry Lynn challenged Sonny Siaki to a match, leading to a brawl Lynn injured his knee and was stretchered out Immediately after that Syxx-Pac led Goldylocks into the locker room, where he told Low-Ki that he was his favorite wrestler in TNA AJ Styles took exception to that and said he should be everyone’s favorite wrestler Later NWA Vice President Bill Behrens announced that Styles would face Ace Steel for the vacant TNA X-Division Title, but Low-Ki interrupted and called Steel a “sell-out” for taking Mortimer Plumtree’s money Plumtree referenced an incident where Low-Ki had a heated argument in a diner with Tammy “Sunny” Sytch and called Low-Ki “an ass ” Low-Ki said that Steel and Plumtree were “stupid” to believe what they read on the Internet, at which point Bob Armstrong interrupted and put them in a match to determine who would get the Title shot After Low-Ki won that match by DQ, Armstrong made the Title match an open invitational Featured an appearance by comedian/actor Chris Rock, who called TNA “the greatest wrestling in the world ” Later on NASCAR star Hermie Sadler wsa attacked by Bruce and Jeff Jarrett until BG James made the save
Syxx-Pac, BG James, & Curt Hennig defeated NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ron Killings, Jeff Jarrett, & Brian Lawler in a 14:20 6-man tag team match Hennig was a surprise participant and pinned Killings with the Hennigplex after Mr Wrestling III came in and Powerbombed Killings while the referee was knocked-out Jarrett and James brawled to the locker room late in the match, and later on Goldylocks discovered James lying unconscious backstage as Jarrett crawled away
Chris Harris & James Storm defated Jose & Joel Maximo in 10:25 to retain the NWA World Tag Team Titles
Ace Steel defeated Low-Ki, Tony Marmaluke, and Kid Kash in a 15:00 4-way Iron Man match Mortimer Plumtree did guest commentary during the match Steele pinned Low-Ki for the first fall with a Superfly Splash in 4:31 Marmaluke pinned Kash with an Alabama Jam for the second fall, and then Kash pinned Marmaluke with a Fisherman’s Buster in 7:16 Low-Ki tied it up when he made Kash submit to a Cobra Twist at 8:15, and Steel pinned Low-Ki right at the 15:00 mark when Plumtree interfered and tripped Low-Ki as he went for a suplex Steel won the match with 2 falls vs the other men’s 1 apiece The timekeeper actually rang the bell right at the 15:00 mark even though the finish had not been completed, so the referee, wrestlers, and announcers ignored the bell and let the match continue as planned Later in the show Steele was booked in a Ladder match for the TNA X-Division Title, and an angry Low-Ki came out and called Steel a sellout for taking Plumtree’s money Plumtree said that Low-Ki would never got a Title shot Bob Armstrong came out and ordered a #1 contender match between Steel and Low-Ki
Chris Michaels & Rick Michaels defeated Ron Harris & Sonny Siaki in 7:20 when Rick pinned Siaki after Harris accidentally kicked him in the face After the match Siaki and Harris brawled until Don Harris joined in and helped his brother double-team Siaki
Low-Ki defeated Ace Steel by DQ in 1:29 when Mortimer Plumtree interfered and attacked Low-Ki’s already-injured ankle As a result of the interference, Bob Armstrong announced that anyone who wanted a shot at the TNA X-Division Title could join the Ladder match

Ron Killings pinned Curt Hennig in 8:56 to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title after Jeff Jarrett interfered and hit a low blow on Hennig Before the match Killings complained about being forced “to defend the Title against a bunch of white guys ” AJ Styles, Ace Steel, Ron Harris, and Mortimer Plumtree were shown watching the match from the entrance stage After the referee was knocked-out they interfered in the match, and Mr Wrestling III also attacked Hennig until BG James & Syxx-Pac made the save TNA security came out to clear the ring, and referee Scott Armstrong ordered the match restarted This angered Killings, who knocked him out and then attacked Jeremy Borash and Bob Armstrong Armstrong ordered Killings to restart the match or lose his Title, and as all of this confusion was happening Jarrett snuck into the ring to cost Hennig the match

NWA TNA PPV #18 – Included multiple backstage segments with Brian Lawler looking for his girlfriend, April About halfway through the show Curt Hennig and BG James came to the ring and Hennig accused Jeff Jarrett of ripping him off He talked about working hard to stay in shape and noted, “I’m the guy who took down Brock Lesnar at 35,000 feet ” Mike Tenay started to explain the incident in question, where Hennig took down WWE Champion Brock Lesnar during a flight, but Hennig cut him off Cameras cut backstage to Lawler and Jarrett, and Jarrett got angry when Lawler said he needed to stay backstage and find April Jarrett said “screw you” and marched off James then badmouthed Lawler, trying to goad him to the ring Scott Hall suddenly appeared and said he was tired of “being a good boy ” He challenged Jarrett to a match, and Jarrett accepted After Lawler cost Syxx-Pac the TNA X-Division Title, Pac came to the ring and said that he started seeing April as a “rib” on Lawler He noted that it became more serious, “because she’s a hell of a piece of ass ” He called Lawler out so they could settle their differences in a fight, with the winner getting April Lawler came out and said that he didn’t want April anymore because “she’s used, she’s a piece of trash ” April ran out and said that she still loved Lawler, but Pac forced himself on her Pac called her a “no-good, lying bitch” and Lawler attacked them It took several referees and TNA security to pry them apart
The Amazing Red defeated Kid Kash, Joel Maximo, Jose Maximo, and Elix Skipper in a 12:23 5-way Elimination match when he pinned Kash after hitting the InfraRed Red earned a shot at the TNA X-Division Title with the win Order of elimination: Skipper pinned Jose at 7:41, Joel pinned Skipper at 8:48, Kash pinned Joel at 9:24, Red pinned Kash at 12:23

BG James pinned Brian Lawler in 4:40 with a rollup after Lawler saw his girlfriend April on the entrance stage with Syxx-Pac This match started immediately after the previous Scott Hall vs Jeff Jarrett match After the bout Lawler, who apparently did not even notice losing, cried in the ring and then up the ramp as Pac laughed and gloated
AJ Styles (w/ Mortimer Plumtree) pinned NWA X Division Champion Syxx-Pac in 8:59 with the Styles Clash in a No DQ match to win the title; Plumtree provided guest commentary for the match; following the entrances, the champion took the mic, said the fans paid too much money to see a DQ finish for an X Division match, and that the bout would be No DQ and he would take out Plumtree if he interfered; during the closing moments, the champion blocked the Styles Clash, with Brian Lawler then coming out and hitting Pac in the face with a can; after the bout, Pac raised Style’s hand in victory, but was attacked from behind again by Lawler; Styles picked up his new belt and walked away smiling as Lawler attacked Pac (Phenomenal: The Best of AJ Styles)

Jorge Estrada (with Priscilla) defeated Bruce (with Lenny Lane) via count-out in a 8:48 Miss TNA match Lane interfered late in the match, so Priscilla then interfered also Lane & Bruce threatened to hit her, but Estrada took them both out with a Springboard Plancha Bruce slipped on Lane’s banana peel at ringside and apparently knocked himself out, so he was counted-out Bruce retained his Miss TNA crown

Jerry Lynn pinned NWA X Division Champion AJ Styles (w/ Mortimer Plumtree) at 20:59 to win the title after hitting the Cradle Piledriver Late in the match Sonny Siaki interfered and broke up a pin attempt by Lynn, allowing Plumtree to set up a metal folding chair in the corner for Styles to put Lynn through Styles hit the Styles Clash, but Lynn kicked out Styles then tried to hit the Spiral Tap, but Lynn knocked him off the top rope and hit a Superplex for a near-fall The two exchanged several reversals until Lynn hit his finisher for the win

Sonny Siaki & E Z Money defeated Chris Divine & Quiet Storm (with Trinity) in 5:48 when Siaki pinned Devine after hitting the Siakalypse Trinity interfered repeatedly in the match, at one point hitting a Moonsault on Money from the top rope to the floor
Malice pinned Kory Williams in 1:58 after hitting a Chokeslam At the end of the match Malice was on the top rope for the Bombs Away Kneedrop, but he slipped and fell on his face He quickly recovered and hit the Chokeslam instead

NWA Tag Team Champions Brian Lee & Slash (w/ James Mitchell & Bella Donna) defeated Chris Harris & James Storm via disqualification at 10:44 after Storm stole Mitchell’s spike from Lee and then hit him in the head with it; after the bout, the challengers shrugged off interference from Bella Donna and used the spike on Slash and laid out referee Andrew Thomas when he tried to intervene; moments later, they cornered Mitchell in the ring, with TNA security running out and being hit with steel chairs as Mitchell and his team escaped (Best of America’s Most Wanted)

Jeff Jarrett pinned NWA World Champion Ron Killings at 17:36 to win the title after Mr. Wrestling III entered the ring with a guitar and smashed the guitar over Killings’ head; at the 12-minute mark, Jarrett was thrown head-first into the ringpost and bled heavily for the rest of the match; they then fought through the crowd, with Killings putting the challenger through a table with a splash from the the balcony area; after the match, Mr. Wrestling III took off his mask to reveal himself as Vince Russo, prompting Tenay to yell “Oh shit, it’s Vince Russo!” (Russo’s surprise debut) (Best of NWA-TNA Title Matches, Jeff Jarrett: King of the Mountain)

NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #23 – included an in-ring segment in which Vince Russo confronted Mike Tenay, calling him out for saying Tenay would quit NWA if Russo was brought in to run it; Russo then showed Tenay the door and told him to “go home and pout with Sean Waltman;” Russo went on to say he was the anti-Christ of pro wrestling and knew he better come back “before this business gets further in the shitter;” Russo then said he wanted to talk about Jeff Jarrett and said he would go backstage and “slap the shit” out of whomoever cuts his mic; he went on to say Jeff Jarrett’s gimmick in the WWF was “bullshit;” he went on to say Jarrett decided to leave the WWF in Nashville, didn’t tell Russo about it, and Russo got all the heat for it; he then said Jarrett begged him to come back to the WWF, he made it happen, and he stopped everyone else from trying to bury Jarrett; Russo then said Jarrett begged him to jump ship to WCW, then took credit for making Jarrett the WCW World Champion; Russo then said Jarrett was being led around by a senile old man, TNA sucks, WWE sucks, and said he would save the day once again; he went on to say he was giving Jarrett one opportunity to join him and drastic changes would begin the following week; he then said he would help Jarrett but wanted an answer later in the show; Goldylocks interviewed Bruce, who said he was now heterosexual and wanted to be known as “Angry” Alan Funk He said he would give his Miss TNA crown to April, who turned him straight April’s ex-boyfriend, Brian Lawler, later announced that he’d been embarrassed in recent weeks and wanted to retire On his way out the door he stopped and flirted with Priscilla, who in real life was dating Lawler’s father Jerry Also included an interview with Dory Funk Jr , who talked about the history of the NWA World Heavyweight Title

Jeff Jarrett pinned Ron Killings in 13:49 to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title after hitting the Stroke three times in a row There was a double countout early in the match after Killings and Jarrett fell off the entrance stage and through a table, but Bob Armstrong restarted the match After the referee was knocked out at the end of the bout Vince Russo came to the ring and gave Jarrett a guitar to use on Killings Jarrett smashed the guitar against the ringpost, choosing to win the match cleanly After the match Russo demanded to know if Jarrett was loyal to him, but the broadcast ended before Jarrett could answer

NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #24 – Opened with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper coming to the ring and cutting a heated promo on Vince Russo Piper accused Russo of killing Owen Hart by “making him” do the Blue Blazer gimmick, and he also bashed Rikishi’s gimmick of wearing “a thong” and “sitting on people’s faces ” Piper wore a T-shirt listing the names of wrestlers who died young and many of his comments were not cleared with TNA management before the show Russo eventually came out to get Piper out of the ring After the opening match Russo came back out and promised the fans would see “blood, violence, nudity, and vulgarity ” Russo accused Piper of using Owen Hart’s death “to sell books” and announced the formation of Sports Entertainment Xtreme He brought out Athena and ordered her to show her breasts Russo called her an ugly whore and shoved her to the mat Ron & Don Harris came to the ring laughing and joined SEX Bob Armstrong came out and put them in a match against NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett & Ron Killings Later Jerry Lynn announced that he suffered a partially-torn pectoral muscle in his match with AJ Styles last week He vowed to wrestle through it Meanwhile, the Harris twins attacked NWA Vice President Bill Behrens and then attacked Lynn when he tried to make the save Killings ran in to help fight off the Harris brothers, but he was tossed off a balcony and through a table Later on BG James was shown unconscious backstage, apparently from another Harris brothers attack Also included another Mike Tenay interview with Curt Hennig, who said he was 35 and in the best shape of his life for a NWA World Title run

Chris Harris & James Storm defeated Bella Donna (with James Mitchell) in a 4:22 Handicap Bullrope match when Storm pinned Donna The match was supposed to see America’s Most Wanted vs James Mitchell, but Mitchell claimed that he was not medically-cleared to wrestle and forced Donna into the match instead When AMW were reluctant to face a woman they were attacked by Brian Lee, Slash, & Mitchell AMW managed to recover and hit Donna with their finishers for the win
NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett defeated Don Harris & Ron Harris in a 5:11 Handicap match when he pinned Don Ron Killings was supposed to be Jarrett’s partner, but the earlier attack by the Harrises kept him out of the match He eventually ran out and attacked Ron, allowing Jarrett to score the win After the match Killings called out Vince Russo, but instead the Harrises attacked him and hit two H-Bombs BG James ran out to apparently make the save, but instead he attacked Killings Just as the show was going off the air, Percy Pringle (Paul Bearer) appeared on the entrance stage

Ron Killings pinned BG James in a 4:02 Chairs & Chains match after hitting a Gordbuster on a metal chair After the match Killings was about to take James out for good, but Bob Armstrong ran out to protect his son As Armstrong and Killings talked James recovered and hit both his father and Killings with a chair

NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #26 – Opened with a video package on Jeff Jarrett’s NWA World Heavyweight Title defenses in Europe and Japan Curt Hennig then came to the ring and called out Vince Russo, but he was attacked by the Harris twins, Low-Ki, Elix Skipper, Christopher Daniels, & BG James Later Russo came out and said that TNA was “too cheap” to use Skipper & Daniels, but Russo promised to get them paid and “get them laid twice a day ” He called out Jarrett, who then said that none of the wrestlers respect Russo Jarrett said that he’d spent years talking people like Shawn Michaels and Bill Goldberg out of killing Russo, who said that everybody laughed at Jarrett behind his back and called him “a daddy’s boy ” Jarrett was then attacked by SEX
Jason Cross defeated The Amazing Red, Tony Mamaluke, Jimmy Rave, Shark Boy, Kid Kash, Ace Steel, Jose Maximo, Joel Maximo, and David Young in a 22:09 10-man X-Division Gauntlet match The survivors of the Gauntlet portion of the match were Cross and Red, and Cross then pinned Red with the Crossfire

BG James pinned Ron Killings in a 4:35 Falls Count Anywhere match after Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, & Low-Ki interfered and attacked Killings
Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, & Low Ki defeated The Amazing Red, Jose Maximo, & Joel Maximo in a 21:03 6-man tag team match when Low-Ki pinned Red After the match the other members of SEX came out and attacked Red & the Maximos until Curt Hennig made the save David Flair then appeared and attacked Hennig, putting him in the Figure Four Jeff Jarrett made the save and put Flair in the Figure Four, but then AJ Styles attacked Jarrett and put him through a table Russo bragged about Styles joining SEX and then trashed the NWA-TNA set with an ax to end the show (David Flair’s TNA debut )
