– 9/21/02: A 6-team one-night tournament was held to determine the initial champions. Prior to the finals, Christopher Daniels & Donovan Morgan defeated Jose & Joel Maximo and Dick Togo & Ikuto Hidaka while Bryan Danielson & Michael Modest defeated Quiet Storm & Chris Divine.

– ROH Tag Title Championship Tournament Finals: Christopher Daniels & Donovan Morgan defeated Bryan Danielson and Michael Modest when Daniels pinned Danielson after the Last Rites at 14:42; after the match, Danielson and Modest destroyed the tournament trophy

– Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer (w/ Allison Danger) defeated ROH Tag Tean Champions CM Punk & Colt Cabana when Whitmer pinned Cabana with the wrist-clutch Exploder at 7:05 to win the titles; during the match, the champions tried to lose via count-out but Ricky Steamboat chased them towards the ring; after the match, Punk hit Steamboat with a legdrop through a table

– Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer defeated ROH Tag Team Champions Ricky Reyes & Rocky Romero when Maff pinned Reyes with a Burning Hammer at 10:36 to win the titles; after the match, Allison Danger told Whitmer & Maff she changed the match to a non-title match but Whitmer threatened to kick her head off unless she tore the contracts up; Danger then started to tear up the contracts, with then Whitmer giving her an Exploder suplex, Maff putting her in the figure-4, and Whitmer hitting a frog splash; moments later, Maff & Whitmer celebrated with the titles

– HC Loc & Tony DeVito defeated ROH Tag Team Champions BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs to win the titles at 14:15 when DeVito pinned Jacobs after the piledriver off the top double team, moments after Whitmer was shoved off the top and through a table set up at ringside

– BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs defeated ROH Tag Team Champions Tony DeVito & HC Loc to win the titles at 9:24 when Whitmer pinned DeVito after a Contra Code double team off the top rope; after the match, the crowd chanted “Huss” at Jacobs; ROH World Champion CM Punk joined Dave Prazak on commentary for the bout
Joe vs. Kobashi – New York City, NY – October 1, 2005
– Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro defeated ROH Tag Team Champions BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs to win the titles in an impromptu match at 13:49 when Mamaluke pinned Jacobs after a Double Rubix Cube Driver; following Mamaluke & Rinauro’s entrance, Mamaluke took the mic, noted his success in New York City and being a former ECW Tag Team Champion; he then said he didn’t want to come all the way back to NYC for a singles match, found Rinauro, and said he wanted tag team gold before challenging Whitmer & Jacobs to come out to face them; the match was originally Mamaluke vs. Rinauro; the two teams shook hands before and after the contest, with Mamaluke & Rinauro then celebrating with the belts and the Italian flag

Prior to the finals, Kevin Steen & El Generico defeated ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness & Go Shiozaki and Adam Pearce & Chris Hero while Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black defeated Delirious & Pelle Primeau and Bryan Danielson & Austin Aries.

– ROH Tag Team Title Tournament Finals: Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black defeated Kevin Steen & El Generico to win the titles at 16:50 when Black pinned Generico with a roll up; Generico was taken backstage during the match but returned during the final moments, his shoulder heavily taped; after the bout, fans threw trash into the ring as Jacobs took the mic and said the fans’ heros had fallen, prompting the crowd to chant “Shut the fuck up;” Black & Jacobs then dared the fans to throw more garbage and Jacobs said the Age of the Fall was unstoppable
