Jimmy Rave defeated Nigel McGuinness in an I Quit match when referee Todd Sinclair stopped the match as Rave had the heel hook applied as McGuinness was against the ropes; just prior to the finish, Rave took the mic and threatened to break McGuinness’s ankle if he didn’t give up, with McGuinness replying with “Fuck you;” when McGuinness again refused to submit, the referee stopped it to prevent his ankle being broken; after the match, Rhett Titus tended to McGuinness
Adam Pearce pinned Pelle Primeau with the jumping piledriver at 4:31
Chris Hero (w/ Larry Sweeney) defeated Christopher Daniels (w/ Allison Danger) and Claudio Castagnoli at 14:02 by pinning Castagnoli after Sweeney crotched Castagnoli on the top rope and distracted Daniels

ROH World Champion Homicide pinned Samoa Joe after multiple West Brooklyn Lariats at 24:25; after the match, Joe said, since he had failed to become ROH World Champion, he would focus on his war with NOAH and only has so much time left to finish it; Homicide then said he would defeat Jimmy Rave in New York and take on challengers from all over the world
5th Year Festival: New York – Hammerstein Ballroom – February 16, 2007
Featured an opening segment in which Rebecca Bayless, from outside the venue, showed the crowd waiting to get inside, prompting a chant of “ROH;” Bayless then discussed ROH World Champion Homicide defending the title against Jimmy Rave later in the night; included an opening video package recapping some of the company’s top moments; featured a backstage promo by Rave regarding his wins over the likes of CM Punk, AJ Styles, and Generation Next, and said he would take his career to the next level by becoming the new ROH World Champion; included a backstage promo by ROH Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal in which they spoke out against the fans overlooking them as a legit tag team and that they would beat Austin Aries & Roderick Strong later in the show, during which Sydal said they would keep the belts if Daniels followed his lead, with Daniels looking confused by the statement; featured an in-ring announcement that Takeshi Morishima would challenge for the ROH World Title the following night, with Samoa Joe then coming out, taking the mic, welcoming the fans to the show, and noting it would kick off the ‘Samoa Joe Farewell Tour;’ Joe then noted ROH’s history and thanked the fans for their support in making ROH the best; Joe then addressed the challenge Morishima gave him earlier in the show and, despite wearing street clothes, said he would fight him then and there; Nigel McGuinness then came out, took the mic, and said Joe doesn’t call out Morishima; moments later, Joe shoved Nigel, leading to Rhett Titus, Bobby Dempsey, referees, and others coming out to pull the two men apart; included an ad promoting ROHwrestling.com; featured Bayless conducting a backstage interview with Homicide, alongside Julius Smokes, regarding being at the first ROH show and now defending the world title in the main event; included a video package recapping some of the biggest feuds in ROH history; featured a closing segment showing Bayless finding Jack Evans beaten up and knocked out backstage:
Takeshi Morishima pinned Pelle Primeau with the backdrop driver in an impromptu match at the 11-second mark; following his entrance, Primeau took the mic and said he came to crowd surf all around the Manhattan Center, then issued an open challenge; Samoa Joe’s music then played, with Morishima coming out instead; after the bout, Morishima took the mic and cut a promo on Joe in Japanese; Nigel McGuinness then came out and told Morishima it wasn’t the time or place, then led him backstage; following the segment, there was a chant of “Morishima;” after the bout, Adam Pearce and Shane Hagadorn came out and taunted the hurt Primeau until Delirious ran out (Morishima’s debut)
Delirious pinned Adam Pearce (w/ Shane Hagadorn) with a loaded headbutt at 8:01, moments after the referee prevented Pearce from using his own foreign object; after the match, Delirious licked Cary Silkin’s head at ringside and hugged many of the ringside fans; Hagadorn then tried to help Pearce to his feet, with Pearce shoving Hagadorn to the mat and the crowd chanting “You both suck” before Hagadorn, on his knees, hugged Pearce
Sara Del Ray & Allison Danger defeated Daizee Haze & Alexa Thatcher at 3:19 when Del Ray pinned Thatcher with the Royal Butterfly; late in the match, Lacey appeared ringside and fought with Haze all the way backstage (Thatcher’s debut)
Jack Evans defeaed Shingo, Jimmy Jacobs (w/ Lacey), and Xavier (sub. for an injured Davey Richards) in an elimination match at 9:50; Xavier received chants of “Welcome back” upon his entrance; everyone shook hands before the bout except Xavier; Evans pinned Xavier at 4:22 with a backslide into a bridge after a reverse hurricanrana; Shingo pinned Jacobs with a lariat at 5:48; Evans pinned Shingo with the 630 splash; after the bout, the two men shook hands (Xavier’s first appearance in a year; his last appearance)
BJ Whitmer pinned Brent Albright at 13:54 with an Exploder suplex off a table, across the top rope, through two tables set up inside the ring; stipulations stated tables were legal to use in the match; after the match, there were chants of “BJ Whitmer” and “Albright”
ROH Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels (w/ Allison Danger) & Matt Sydal defeated Austin Aries & Roderick Strong at 20:45 when Daniels pinned Aries with the Best Moonsault Ever, immediately after Sydal hit the Shooting Star Press on Aries; Sydal also came out in possession of a singles title; following the ring entrances, there were dueling chants of “Fallen Angel” and “Austin Aries;” the two teams shook hands before the contest; after the match, there was a chant of “That was awesome;” moments later, the two teams again shook hands; after the champions went backstage, there was a chant of “Aries;” moments later, Davey Richards came out to the ring, distracting Aries as Strong dropped his partner with the half nelson into the backbreaker; Strong then took the mic, told the crowd to shut up, and told Aries he had been in the background too long; Richards then took the mic and said the fans and Aries just experienced the beginning of the No Remorse Corps; Jack Evans then ran out to protect Aries, with Strong getting between Evans and Richards; Strong and Richards then left the ring, with Aries taking the mic and said he would face Strong & Richards any time and anywhere with Evans as his backup, with Evans taking the mic and saying he didn’t want to get involved and have to choose sides; Aries then took the mic back and said Strong started a war that he wouldn’t be able to finish
Colt Cabana & Nigel McGuinness defeated Mark & Jay Briscoe at 14:32 when McGuinness pinned Jay with the jawbreaker lariat, immediately after sustaining a chinbreaker; after the bout, Samoa Joe ran out to the ring and attacked McGuinness, with Cabana and referees stepping inbetween; moments later, Takeshi Morishima walked out and joined Joe in the ring to start their match
Samoa Joe defeated Takeshi Morishima via TKO with the Coquina Clutch at 18:07; after the bout, the crowd chanted “Thank you, Joe” and “Please don’t go” as they tossed streamers into the ring; after Joe went backstage, Morishima staggered to his feet as the crowd also chanted for him
ROH World Champion Homicide (w/ Julius Smokes) pinned Jimmy Rave with the Cop Killer at 18:53 after reversing the heel hook and sending Rave shoulder-first into the ringpost; after the match, the champion revealed he appeared to have sustained a legit injury to his foot during the bout; after the contest, Homicide played up chants of “Morishima” and taunted those changing for his challenger the next night; moments later, Homicide took one of the ringside cameras and filmed the crowd himself
5th Year Festival: Philly – Philadelphia, PA – National Guard Armory – February 17, 2007
Featured a backstage promo by Lacey, Adam Pearce, Jimmy Jacobs, and Shane Hagadorn, with Lacey telling Jacobs to pay attention to Pearce and he might learn something; Lacey then said a lot of money would be in store for Pearce if he could take care of BJ Whitmer & Colt Cabana; Jacobs then tried discussing the upcoming match, with Lacey yelling at him; included a backstage segment in which Rebecca Bayless spoke with BJ Whitmer about the condition of Colt Cabana, who was seen leaving for a hospital with Jack Evans, with Whitmer saying Jacobs would have his hands full with Cabana in Chicago and he would have what was left of Jacobs afterwards; featured Bayless conducting a backstage interview with Jacobs and Lacey, with Jacobs apologizing for losing the match earlier in the night and Lacey saying she was proud of Jacobs for attacking Cabana the way they did, adding “it was kinda hot;” Lacey then whispered something in Jacobs’ ear, with Jacobs immediately getting excited:

Austin Aries pinned Claudio Castagnoli with the brainbuster and 450 splash at 9:02; after the bout, Aries took the mic and cut a promo on FIP World Champion Roderick Strong attacking him the previous night, then referring to Davey Richards as “Austin Aries light;” Aries then called Strong out, with Jack Evans walking out instead and saying Aries and Strong could make up and he didn’t want them to fight it out; moments later, Strong, sporting a black eye, and Richards appeared, with Strong saying he would love to face Aries but already had a title defense later in the show; Strong then said Evans was either with him or against him, with Richards taking the mic and saying he and Strong were after new recruits for the No Remorse Corps and Evans needed to decide which side he was on; after they left, Aries cut a promo on them and told Evans that he was on his side, with Evans telling Aries not to make him choose
Colt Cabana, BJ Whitmer, & Daizee Haze defeated Adam Pearce, Jimmy Jacobs, & Lacey in a streetfight at 13:32 when Whitmer pinned Jacobs with an Exploder suplex off the top
Mark & Jay Briscoe defeated El Generico & Kevin Steen at 18:04 when both men pinned Steen after Mark hit a Cutthroat Driver and followed with a Shooting Star Press as Jay hit a legdrop off the top from the opposite corner; prior to the bout, the two teams shook hands but immediately began fighting; after the bout, the crowd chanted “That was awesome;” after the Briscoes went backstage, Generico helped Steen to his feet as the crowd chanted “Steen,” “Mr. Wrestling,” and “Please come back”
Samoa Joe pinned Jimmy Rave at 16:10 with the Island Driver; prior to the bout, the two men shook hands; after the bout, the crowd chanted “Thank you, Joe;” moments later, Joe took the mic, welcomed the Philadelphia crowd to the show, and noted he came to the city four years earlier; as some in the crowd chanted “Please don’t go,” Joe said the city was the birthplace of hardcore wrestling fans who didn’t take what other companies shoved down their throats, prompting a chant of “ROH” from the crowd; Joe thanked the crowd and said he loved the sport, with the crowd chanting “Thank you, Joe”
FIP World Champion Roderick Strong defeated Delirious via count-out at 9:21 after dropping the challenger with a Gibson Driver onto the steel barricade; following the ring introductions, Austin Aries came out and chased Strong into the crowd before he was pulled back by ROH security, comprised of Bobby Dempsey and Rhett Titus; after the bout, the crowd chanted “Bullshit” at Strong; fater Strong left, Delirious was helped to his feet, with Strong returning ringside and further attacking him until Aries ran back out and Strong fled into the crowd and out the door
ROH Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels (w/ Allison Danger) & Matt Sydal defeated Jack Evans & Shingo at 20:08 when Sydal pinned Evans after an Angel’s Wings double team move; Sydal also came out in possession of a singles title belt; prior to and after the bout, the two teams shook hands; following the contest, Evans took the mic and had the crowd chant “Shingo” before Evans spoke with Austin Aries in the ring; Evans then told Aries that he wasn’t picking sides between Aries and FIP World Champion Roderick Strong, with Aries saying that was fine and he would find others to back him up; after Aries left the ring, Evans took the mic and said he might have to find his own crew to lead since Aries and Strong were doing the same
Takeshi Morishima pinned ROH World Champion Homicide (w/ Julius Smokes) to win the title at 15:42 with the backdrop driver after the champion kicked out of a previous backdrop driver and lariat; Morishima jumped the champion in the aisle before the match, assaulting Homicide at ringside and hitting a DDT on the floor; Morishima bled from the nose late in the bout; after the match, the crowd chanted for Morishima, with Rhett Titus and others beginning to come out to congratulate Morishima before he assaulted them and left the ring; the crowd then chanted “NOAH”

Featured an opening in-ring segment with Dave Prazek wanting to interview new ROH World Champion Takeshi Morishima, but Nigel McGuinness came out instead and said the only time Morishima comes to the ring is when he is going to kick someone’s ass; Dave & Jake Christ then appeared and challenged Morishima & McGuinness to a match; moments later, Morishima appeared and laid out both Crists; after Morishima returned backstage, Lacey lead Jimmy Jacobs & Brent Albright to the ring for the opening match and told McGuinness to “sod off;” Jimmy Rave then attacked McGuinness from behind and Colt Cabana made the save; included a backstage promo by BJ Whitmer in which he talked about all his memorable moments in ROH that have lead to earning his ROH World Title shot later in the show; featured a backstage promo by Austin Aries in which he said he would find the best young talent to wage war on FIP World Champion Roderick Strong and he would beat Open the Brave Gate Champion Matt Sydal later in the show; included Rebecca Bayless conducting a backstage interview with Lacey & Jimmy Jacobs regarding Lacey’s controversial win over Daizee Haze earlier in the show, with Lacey whispering to Jacobs what she would do to him if he kills Colt Cabana the following day in Chicago; featured a video package with highlights from ROH during the previous year; included a backstage promo by Mark & Jay Briscoe regarding their ROH Tag Team Title shot the next night in Chicago against Sydal & Christopher Daniels; featured a closing backstage segment in which Aries was shown speaking to unseen men about joining him in his new group:

Dragon Gate Open The Brave Gate Champion & ROH Tag Team Champion Matt Sydal pinned Austin Aries with the Shooting Star Press at 13:45; prior to and after the bout, the two shook hands; after the contest, FIP World Champion Roderick Strong and Davey Richards ran out and attacked both men, with Delirious running out of the crowd and chasing them off; Delirious then took the mic and cut a promo on Strong, with the crowd then chanting “What he said” and “Bah-bah, bah-bah”
Tank Toland (w/ Larry Sweeney) pinned Mitch Franklin at 1:56 in an impromptu match by catching him in mid-air and hitting a sit-down spinebuster; prior to the bout, Sweeney came out with both men, cut an in-ring promo in which he said Chris Hero was on a successful tour of Japan and introduced Toland as Hero’s trainer; he then insulted Franklin, called him an inferior athlete, and then had Toland jump him; moments later, Toland gorilla press slammed Franklin across the ring to start the bout (Toland’s surprise debut)
Claudio Castagnoli defeated Matt Cross, Pelle Primeau, FIP World Champion Roderick Strong, Mark Briscoe, and Shingo in a non-title match by pinning Cross with the Swiss Death at 15:28; prior to the bout, Castagnoli refused to shake the hand of any of his opponents; after the match, the crowd chanted for Primeau
Samoa Joe pinned Davey Richards after hitting the Muscle Buster onto the ring apron at 19:44; following his entrance, the crowd chanted “Please don’t go” and “Fuck TNA” at Joe; the two shook hands to start the match; after the match, the crowd chanted “Thank you, Joe;” moments later, Joe helped Richards to his feet and extended his hand, with Richards spitting at him and immediately sliding out to the floor; moments later, Joe took the mic and thanked the Dayton fans for always supporting both he and ROH

Colt Cabana pinned Jimmy Jacobs in a death match at 22:55 after hitting the Colt 45 on both Jacobs and an interfering Lacy; Lacy came out in Jacobs’ corner but was chased off at the 4-minute mark by Daizee Haze; at the 13-minute mark, Brent Albright interfered on behalf of Jacobs, prompting BJ Whitmer to interfere on behalf of Cabana; minutes later, the two returned backstage; Lacy returned ringside at the 19-minute mark, shoving Cabana off the top rope in the process (ROH: Bloodstained Honor)
ROH World Champion Takeshi Morishima & Nigel McGuinness defeated Samoa Joe & Homicide when McGuinness pinned Joe with the jawbreaker lariat at 23:10; after the match, McGuinness said he now deserves a title match when Morishima returns in April, since he got the pinfall in teh match; he then gave the mic to Joe, with Joe thanking everyone for their love and support over the years and said farewell to ROH; moments later, the locker room emptied as Joe celebrated in the ring (Joe’s last US ROH appearance for 18 months)

Included an opening backstage segment, taped the previous night following the Austin Aries vs. ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness match, in which Aries looked down at the floor before getting up and walking away; featured Rebecca Bayless conducting a backstage interview with ROH Tag Team Champions Mark & Jay Briscoe regarding their title defense later in the night against Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black; included a backstage segment in which Larry Sweeney, Daniel Puder, and Chris Hero celebrated Sweeney’s victory earlier in the show over Claudio Castagnoli; featured Bayless conducting an interview in the basement with Jacobs & Black, largely surrounded in shadows, regarding their upcoming match against the Briscoes; included Bayless conducting a backstage interview with Adam Pearce, BJ Whitmer, Brent Albright, & Shane Hagadorn about their win earlier in the show, with Pearce discussing his upcoming dog collar match against Delirious; featured an in-ring segment in which ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness came out, as footage was shown of him being tended to backstage the night before; McGuinness then took the mic for a promo, with dueling chants of “Drop the belt” and “Shut the fuck up,” in which he noted his match the previous night and said he didn’t remember it but did remember leaving the hospital at 4:30 a.m. with a broken nose, probable concussion, and 30-plus stitches; McGuinness then said he would not be able to defend the title as scheduled, then quoting a “fat, loser retard” in the crowd who was chanting for him to give up the title as he debated whether it was time for him to give up the championship; he then walked over to Cary Silkin with the title, but then took the mic and said “Screw you!” and that the injuries he sustained made him deserving of the title; McGuinness then addressed those who wanted him to drop it, saying they had yet to have sexual relations with another person of the opposite sex, and said he would keep the title in spite of them; McGuinness then said he would also keep the title for those who respect the business, leading to a loud chant of “Nigel” and “Thank you, Nigel;” included a backstage promo by FIP World Champion Erick Stevens regarding his title win earlier in the night
Jigsaw & Ruckus (w/ Julius Smokes) defeated Bobby Fish & Matt Cross at 8:01 when Jigsaw pinned Cross with the Jig ‘n’ Tonic after Ruckus hit an enzigiri to the back of the head; prior to the bout, the two teams shook hands
Larry Sweeney (w/ Sara Del Ray, Bobby Dempsey, Daniel Puder, & Tank Toland) pinned Claudio Castagnoli at 2:31 after Puder hit Castagnoli in the back of the leg behind the referee’s back; following his entrance, Sweeney took the mic and introduced Puder as the newest member of the group, prompting a chant of “You can’t wrestle” from the crowd; Sweeney then said Castagnoli had not been cleared to wrestle after the assault he sustained the previous night; moments later, Castagnoli came limping out and said the match would happen then and there, then showing a contract that said Sweeney would have to wrestle him or never work on ROH again; moments later, Castagnoli went after Sweeney, with Toland attacking Castagnoli’s injured leg behind the referee’s back immediately before the match began; after the contest, Puder helped Sweeney backstage, with Toland attacking Castagnoli in the ring; moments later, Castagnoli fought back and dropped Toland with the Riccola Bomb
Jack Evans pinned Necro Butcher at 9:15 with a reverse roll up in a No DQ match as Julius Smokes attempted to steal a steel chair away from Butcher; Lacy was in Butcher’s corner until, after she interfered, she was attacked by Mercedes Martinez; after the contest, Smokes took the mic and, with Evans, introduced Martinez as the latest member of the Vulture Squad

Bryan Danielson defeated Chris Hero (w/ Larry Sweeney, Tank Toland, Bobby Dempsey, & Sara Del Ray), Austin Aries, and Takeshi Morishima in an elimination match at 22:48; all three men pinned Morishima at 8:36 after the three hit a triple back suplex off the top, Danielson landed a series of stomps to the head, and Aries hit the 450 splash off the top; Aries pinned Hero with a leg roll up at 14:18; the elimination drew a mixed reaction; the referee stopped the match when Aries refused to submit to a triangle choke but then sustained a series of elbows to the head from Danielson; stiuplations stated the winner would challenge for the ROH World Title on Feb. 23 at the 6th Anniversary Show; after the bout, the crowd chanted “Next world champ” at Danielson; moments later, they chanted “ROH” as Danielson extended his hand to Aries, who left the ring without shaking it
