Ace Steel fought Sterling James Keenan to a no contest when Chris Hero and Necro Butcher distracted Steel, with Steel challenging them to a fight; all four men then brawled in the crowd; the locker room emptied and Hero was thrown out of the building by some ROH wrestlers while Necro was assaulted in the ring by others; Jim Cornette then told Hero that CZW is garbage wrestling and anytime he wants to invade a ROH event he’ll have the locker room kick his ass again
ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness pinned Delirious in a non-title match with the Tower of London at 6:48
Low Ki (sub. for Samoa Joe) pinned Christopher Daniels when Daniels collapsed attempting the Angels Wings and Ki landed on top at 20:54; after the match, Daniels said when TNA made him choose that changed his perspective about things, but now he’s back in Ring of Honor because he wants to be and wants to show respect for the man who beat him; Daniels then extended a handshake; Ki replied by saying history has a way of repeating itself and walked away without shaking Daniels’ hand
Trios Tournament Finals: Jimmy Rave, Alex Shelley, & Abyss defeated Matt Sydal, Jack Evans, & Jimmy Yang when Rave pinned Evans with the Pedigree at 23:40; stipulations stated the three winners would be able to choose whatever match they wanted in the future
ROH Tag Team Champions Austin Aries & Roderick Strong defeated ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson & Jay Lethal when Strong made Danielson submit to the Stronghold after the half nelson backbreaker at 29:21; prior to the match, Aries said Danielson gave him the first opportunity at the ROH World Title after Danielson won it so he would return the favor; Lethal then said after he won the titles he would add it to the list of things he has done and Samoa Joe hasn’t

Due to a snowstorm in the northeast, TNA ordered its talent to fly to Orlando prior to their pay-per-view event the next night; as a result, Alex Shelley, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, and Homicide missed this show; ROH Tag Team Champions Austin Aries & Roderick Strong stayed and received a three month suspension from TNA as a result:
Featured an opening backstage promo with Colt Cabana who said he has had a lot of time to relax and recover after Homicide tried to kill him with drain cleaner at Final Battle 2005; Cabana then said tonight, even though Homicide isn’t there, he’s going to take his frustration out on someone; included Adam Pearce defeating two ROH students in a handicap match with a double superfly splash; featured an in-ring segment with Grim Reefer & Julius Smokes calling out Cabana for his previous statement to begin the show, but CM Punk walked out instead; Pearce jumped Punk from behind and Cabana made the save; Punk then said he was there to talk some sense into Cabana and told the rest of the locker room he has his gear with him; included a promo by Strong who said he was looking for a fight tonight because Low Ki took his ball and went home, again; BJ Whitmer then showed up and said he was going to take advantage of the upheaval and challenge Strong; moments later, ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson came down, slapped Strong, and the two had to be pulled apart; during the brawl, Prince Nana announced Alex Shelley’s replacement for later in the show would be former ROH Champion Xavier; featured a promo stating Mark & Jay Briscoe would return at The Fourth Anniversary Show:

Jimmy Yang defeated Azrieal, Jerrelle Clark, and Jason Blade by pinning Clark with the corkscrew moonsault at 13:58
Roderick Strong defeated BJ Whitmer (sub. for Low Ki) with a Gibson Driver at 20:11; Strong retained the #1 contendership to the ROH World Title

Featured a promo with Christopher Daniels and Allison Danger in which Daniels said he didn’t return to Ring of Honor to reform The Prophecy because Whitmer and Dan Maff “beat the shit” out of Danger at the Third Anniversary Show:
Jay & Mark Briscoe defeated Jason Blade & Kid Mikaze and Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro when Mark pinned Blade with a Cutthroat Driver/legdrop combo at 6:42; prior to the match, the Briscoes came out and asked to be added to the match (the Briscoe’s return after a 1-year absence)
Adam Pearce defeated Jason Fury, Azrieal, and Claudio Castagnoli by pinning Azrieal with the splash off the top at 11:04
Samoa Joe pinned Jay Lethal with the Super Musclebuster at 14:19

Homicide (w/ Julius Smokes) defeated Colt Cabana in a Ghetto Streetfight; Homicide initially won at 11:14 when the referee stopped the match when Cabana refused to submit as Homicide was choking him with a coat hanger; during the bout, there were dueling chants of “Colt Cabana” and “Homicide;” after the match, Cabana took the mic, said he never gave up, and said the match was restarting, then rang the bell himself; the referee again stopped the match at 4:12 when Cabana was tied up in the corner by Homicide, Ricky Reyes, & Smokes and was repeatedly triple teamed, prompting the crowd to chant “He’s not dead;” moments later, Cabana again took the mic and said Homicide would have to come back out and finish him; the match was stopped again at 1:07 after Homicide dropped Cabana with a piledriver from the apron through a table set up on the floor (ROH: Bloodstained Honor)

Chris Hero, Super Dragon, & Necro Butcher defeated Samoa Joe, Adam Pearce, & BJ Whitmer in a streetfight at 25:25 when Hero pinned Pearce with the Hero’s Welcome double team from he and Claudio Castagnoli; Todd Sinclair was the ROH referee for the bout and Bryce Remsburg was the CZW referee for the match; late in the bout, John Zandig interfered, leading to Sinclair being knocked out; moments later, Castagnoli, wearing a jacket that had “ROH” on the back, ran in the ring and knocked down Joe before then hugging Hero; the crowd then chanted “Homicide” leading up to the finish (ROH: Bloodstained Honor, Ring of Hero: The Best of Chris Hero)
Weekend of Champions Night 1 – Dayton, OH – Montgomery County Fairgrounds – April 28, 2006
Featured an opening backstage segment in which Lacey said she would drop Jimmy Jacobs from Lacey’s Angels if he couldn’t win that weekend; included a backstage segment showing Christopher Daniels on the phone with someone, saying he would take care of the weekend and see them in New York; after a promp from Gabe Sapolsky, Daniels cut a promo on ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness, saying he would become a champion again; Daniels then spoke of the feud between ROH and CZW, saying Claudio Castangoli turned his back on ROH after Daniels agreed to shake his hand; featured a backstage promo by McGuinness regarding his return from NOAH, his upcoming bout with Daniels, and his match the following night against ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson; included Dave Prazak conducting a backstage interview with Danielson regarding his match against Jimmy Yang later in the show and facing McGuinness the following night; moments later, Samoa Joe walked in, told Danielson he wasn’t there to fight but he would win the ROH Tag Team Titles later in the show and then run CZW out of the building; after that, he said, he would come for the world title:
Colt Cabana pinned Jimmy Jacobs (w/ Lacey) at 9:01 with a powerbomb; prior to and after the bout, the two shook hands; following the match, Jim Cornette, on a crutch, and Ace Steel came to the ring, with Cornette then cutting a promo on CZW; Cornette then said he would have surgery on May 9, BJ Whitmer was in a neckbrace, and that ROH needed to band together; Cornette then asked whether the fans and himself could count on Cabana, with Cabana then saying he was for ROH, citing it was the site where CM Punk and Samoa Joe went 60 minutes; Cabana then said he was told he had to start back at the opening match and was done for the night; after Cornette questioned whether he was going to turn his back on the people, Cabana said he would stick around to kick CZW’s ass; Cornette then cut a promo on Claudio Castagnoli turning on ROH the previous week, calling him a deserter; Cornette said Castagnoli was supposed to work the show, per ROH contract, and would be in breach of contract if he didn’t show and would have hell to pay if he did
Dave & Jake Christ defeated Spud & Jay Fury at 8:12 when Fury was pinned following their double team finisher; prior to and after the bout, the two teams shook hands; moments later, Super Dragon was shown in the crowd attacking a fan, taking his steel chair, and leaving through the door; moments later, several ROH stage hands went out the door looking for him
Delirious fought Jimmy Rave (w/ Daizee Haze) to a 15-minute time limit draw at 14:59; following Rave’s entrance, the crowd threw rolls of toilet paper in the ring; Delirious’s hand was heavily taped for the bout; during the closing moments, Haze leapt off the top onto Delirious as the referee was busy taking a steel chair out of the ring

Team CZW (Necro Butcher, Nate Webb, Claudio Castagnoli, & Super Dragon) defeated Team ROH (Samoa Joe, Colt Cabana, Ace Steel, BJ Whitmer, & Adam Pearce) in an impromptu streetfight at around the 20-minute mark when Castagnoli pinned Whitmer with a Muscle Buster after Dragon hit a double stomp to the head of Whitmer as Whitmer’s head was caught in a steel chair; prior to the bout, Joe took the mic and called out CZW, saying he came for a fight and wouldn’t leave Dayton, OH without one; moments later, he brawled with Butcher all the way backstage, where he was then tied up; Cabana and Steel were then ganged up on in the ring until Whitmer, wearing a neckbrace, ran out and assaulted the CZW wrestlers with a steel chair; Whitmer quickly had the neckbrace removed and was assaulted before Pearce, with 20 staples in his head, came out for Team ROH; after the contest, Whitmer was tended to in the ring and taken backstage in a neckbrace and on a table; the crowd was almost immediately asked to leave the venue following the bout; moments later, Steel and Pearce cut a promo on CZW before walking off (ROH: Greatest Rivalries)

Featured an opening backstage segment in which Lacey told Jimmy Jacobs it was his last chance and he had to win his match or he would never speak to her again; included an outdoor promo by ROH Tag Team Champions Austin Aries & Roderick Strong regarding their upcoming title defense against Alex Shelley & Jimmy Rave, noting their long history facing each other; during the opening in-ring introduction, BJ Whitmer, wearing a neckbrace, interrupted, took the mic, and noted CZW wrestlers tried to cripple him the previous night but he was still standing; Whitmer then challenged the CZW wrestlers to come out, with Adam Pearce and Jim Cornette, using a crutch, appearing; Cornette took the mic, noted the injuries to himself, Pearce, and Whitmer and said Whitmer was too valuable to risk his health and he needed to relax and let others fight the fight for him until he healed; moments later, the crowd chanted Whitmer’s name, with Cornette telling Whitmer to heal up; after Whitmer left ringside, Cornette said he hated wrestling a few years ago and ranted about the “comedy writers in Stamford” and told them to kiss his ass; he went on to talk about his ROH experiences with Bobby Heenan, the Midnight Express, and the roster and noted ROH was in a war against not only CZW but also other bad wrestling organizations that wanted to insult the fans’ intelligence; Cornette then said he was having knee surgery on May 9 and needed someone to take over his post until he heals up, then offering the job to Pearce while he was out; Pearce then praised Cornette and the fans for supporting ROH and said he would do his best for Cornette, with Cornette then starting a chant for Pearce before cutting a promo on Claudio Castagnoli turning his back on ROH and said he would save his crutch “to shove up your ass;” as the two left the ring, Nate Webb jumped Pearce from behind, with Ace Steel running out and chasing Webb into the crowd; moments later, Bobby Dempsey, Cornette, and others tended to Pearce and helped him backstage; featured Dave Prazak conducting a backstage interview with Alex Shelley, Jimmy Rave, alongside Daizee Haze regarding their match against Aries & Strong, with Shelley saying Prince Nana wasn’t there because he knew they already had the match won; included a video package recapping the history between Aries & Strong and Shelley & Rave; featured Prazak conducting a closing backstage interview with ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness regarding his earlier match against ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson in which McGuinness said his win proved he was the best champion in ROH; moments later, Danielson interrupted and noted McGuinness had to use a chair to beat him; Delirious then appeared, distracting Danielson before McGuinness jumped Danielson from behind; McGuinness then said Danielson was lying on the floor and he beat him:

Samoa Joe defeated Claudio Castagnoli via disqualification at 11:55 when Necro Butcher and Nate Webb came out of the crowd and attacked Joe as he had Castagnoli up for the Muscle Buster; prior to the bout, Castagnoli introduced himself from the rafters, with the crowd chanting “Shut the fuck up” and “Joe’s gonna kill you;” Castagnoli then said he didn’t come to fight but to wrestle and said he was the best athlete ROH had, then challenging Joe to a wrestling match to prove his athletic ability; moments later, Joe appeared and accepted the challenge, with Castagnoli then making him swear that it would be a pure wrestling match and not a fight; moments later, Joe egged Castagnoli on by implying Castagnoli was a chicken, with the crowd chanting “Joe’s gonna kill you” before changing it to “Joe’s gonna wrestle you;” the two shook hands to start the match; after the bout, Necro repeatedly hit Joe in the knee with a steel chair until Ace Steel and Adam Pearce, his head bandaged, ran out and brawled with Necro and Webb in the ring, at ringside, and in the crowd; several minutes later, Pearce and Steel dropped Necro with a double powerbomb onto a steel chair set up in the ring; moments later, they attempted a double team move off the top until Super Dragon came through the crowd; BJ Whitmer, in a neckbrace, then ran out and helped clear the CZW wrestlers from the arena
BJ Whitmer pinned Super Dragon in an impromptu match at around the 11-minute mark after hitting the Exploder suplex off the top rope through a table on the floor; Whitmer wore a neckbrace for the match until it was taken off by Dragon; after the bout, Adam Pearce and Ace Steel tended to Whitmer in the ring; moments later, Whitmer took the mic and told Pearce and Steel to get Dragon out of there, with the two dragging Dragon out the front door

Featured an in-ring promo by Jim Cornette in which he made fun of the CZW fans in attendance before bringing up the recent ECW revival by WWE; Cornette then said chants of “ECW” put money in Vince McMahon’s pocket and ROH was now Philadelphia’s only hometown wrestling company; Cornette then announced that KENTA would be on hand when ROH returns to Philadelphia on Nov. 4 and would challenge for the ROH World Title Sept. 16 in New York City; moments later, Cornette mentioned the CZW vs. ROH main event, that JJ Dillon was coaching the ROH team, and Homicide was wanting three wishes in exchange for being on the ROH team; as Cornette said he thought that was giving Homicide too much power, ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson came out to dueling chants of “Overrated” and “Shut the fuck up;” Danielson then made fun of the crowd, then noting no one from CZW has beaten him and he’s beaten everyone ROH has put in front of him since Sept. 2005; Danielson then said he should be on the team, and would go on to beat Sonjay Dutt later in the show, then Samoa Joe, Colt Cabana, KENTA, and everyone else; Cornette then shook Danielson’s hand and said he would be on the team:

Team ROH: Samoa Joe, BJ Whitmer, ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson, Adam Pearce, Ace Steel, & Homicide (sub. for Danielson) (w/ JJ Dillon) defeated Team CZW: Claudio Castagnoli, CZW Heavyweight Champion Chris Hero, Nate Webb, Necro Butcher, & Eddie Kingston (mystery partner) in Cage of Death at 40:34 when Homicide pinned Webb with a Vertebreaker onto barbed wire; the rules and entries followed the classic Wargames format, but allowing for pinfalls once all the men were involved; the ringside area was surrounded by a cage, with chairs, ladders, a table wrapped in barbed wire, and other weapons surrounding the ring; JJ Dillon served as the coin tosser to determine which team would have the opening advantage; order of entry: Samoa Joe (0:00); Claudio (0:00), Whitmer (5:09), Hero (7:33), Danielson (9:03), Webb (11:33), Pierce (13:03), Necro (15:05), Steel (17:01), Kingston (19:07), and Homicide (24:13); minutes after Danielson’s appearance in the cage, and after working with Joe in attacking the CZW opponents, Danielson chop blocked Joe, assaulted him, and struck him in the knee with a chair, prompting Jim Cornette to come ringside; moments later, Danielson and Cornette exchanged words, with Cornette saying Danielson stabbed him in the back and Danielson giving Cornette the middle finger; Joe was then taken backstage on a stretcher; after all the other participants were in, Hero took the mic and said he hated his mystery partner but his mystery partner hated ROH more, with Kingston then appearing; minutes later, Homicide appeared, stared at Dillon, and then entered the cage to a rousing ovation; after the contest, Cornette appeared, said the hardcore garbage wrestling fans got what they came for and then called for the ring crew to carry the CZW wrestlers out of the arena; Cornette then cut a promo on the CZW wrestlers as they were carried or dragged out of the cage before shaking hands with the ROH team, congratulating them on the win and thanking them; the CZW crowd then chanted “Boring,” with Cornette replying by saying he didn’t want to hear about their sex life; Cornette then asked what Homicide’s three wishes were for coming through on his part of the deal, with Homicide saying he wanted to fight Steve Corino in a ROH ring, a ROH World Title shot, and to reinstate Low Ki; the crowd responded with chants of “Low Ki” and “Just say yes,” with Cornette then saying that wouldn’t happen but he would do something for Homicide, not Low Ki; Homicide then spat in Cornette’s face, with Homicide then fighting off Pierce until Cornette sprayed him in the face with a substance and Dillon locked the cage door shut; Pierce and Dillon then handcuffed Homicide to the corner and ripped his shirt open, allowing Cornette to repeatedly whip Homicide with his belt as Dillon and Pearce kept other wrestlers from scaling the cage to make the save; Cornette, Pearce, and Dillon then left the cage, with the other wrestlers coming to Homicide’s aid inside the ring

ROH World Champion & ROH Pure Champion Bryan Danielson pinned SUWA in an impromptu match at 10:09 with an inside cradle as the challenger charged Danielson; only the world title was at stake in the match; prior to the bout, there was an in-ring announcement that ROH would return to the UK in March 2007, with Danielson coming out, taking the mic, and saying he would put the world title on the line to get payback to what SUWA did to him earlier in the show; Danielson then said he would put the belt up against ROH Tag Team Champion Roderick Strong later in the show; SUWA then appeared, with the two brawling around ringside and and into the crowd, using a steel chair, the ringpost, and barricade as weapons, with Danielson bleeding from the head before the bout officially began

Jimmy Rave defeated El Generico, Davey Richards, and ROH Tag Team Champion Christopher Daniels (w/ Allison Danger) at 17:49 when Generico submitted to Rave’s heel hook, immediately after Rave made a blind tag to Richards, with Richards then sustaining Generico’s brainbuster onto the top turnbuckle; Danger came out dressed as a Girl Scout, prompting a chant of “We want cookies” from the crowd; the four men shook hands following the ring entrances; after the bout, as the crowd chanted “Bullshit,” Rave took the mic and said he wasn’t concerned about the respect of the fans, he was out for the ROH World Title; Nigel McGuinness then ran out and slapped Rave across the face, with Rave sliding to the floor

Jimmy Jacobs & Brent Albright defeated Colt Cabana & BJ Whitmer (w/ Daizee Haze) at 13:50 when Jacobs pinned Cabana with a senton off the top after Albright dropped Cabana with three German suplexes; Cabana & Whitmer came through the crowd before the match and attacked Jacobs & Albright from behind to start the bout; late in the contest, Albright dropped Whitmer with a powerbomb from the ring through a table set up on the floor; after the bout, Whitmer was tended to on the floor as Jacobs looked down from the ring and yelled, “Vindication, BJ!”
Mark & Jay Briscoe defeated Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli (w/ Larry Sweeney) at 16:03 when Mark pinned Hero with a legdrop off the top / Shooting Star Press double team, moments after Castagnoli accidentally struck Hero with a Halliburton; upon their entrance, Hero took the mic and introduced Sweeney, prompting a chant of “Sweet and Sour” from the crowd, and then cut a promo on the Briscoes before talking about it was Castagnoli’s last night in ROH; the Briscoes brawled with Hero & Castagnoli for several moments in the aisle before the match began; after the bout, Sweeney and Castagnoli tended to Hero as the crowd chanted “Thank you, Claudio” and “Kings of Wrestling;” Castagnoli then took the mic, said he might stick around a while longer, and told the fans to keep tuned for what the KOW had in store in 2007; Sweeney then took the mic and told Castagnoli to hit the bricks because he and Hero already had plans without him, regardless as to if he was leaving or not; Castagnoli and Hero then spoke and shook hands, but Hero left ringside with Sweeney; after Hero and Sweeney left ringside, Samoa Joe came out, told Castagnoli that he wasn’t his friend, and told him to leave the ring; after Castagnoli left through the crowd, Joe then challenged NOAH to send their best to face him on Feb. 16 when ROH returns to the Manhattan Center; Nigel McGuinness then walked out, took the mic from Joe, and challenged Joe to face him on Feb. 16; moments later, Jimmy Rave ran out, jumped McGuinness from behind, but was then slapped in the face by Joe; Joe then suggested Rave face McGuinness later in the show (Ring of Hero: The Best of Chris Hero)

Homicide defeated ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson to win the title at 30:39 with a lariat; during his entrance, Danielson grabbed the ring announcer and told him to introduce him as “the best wrestler these wannabe thugs have ever seen;” Homicide offered to shake Danielson’s hand before the match but Danielson responded by giving Homicide the middle finger, then doing the same to the crowd as well; stipulations stated Homicide would leave ROH if he didn’t win the title; after the bout, Homicide was congratulated by Julius Smokes, Samoa Joe, Roderick Strong, Cary Silkin, Ricky Reyes, BJ Whitmer, Colt Cabana, Rhett Titus, Mark & Jay Briscoe, and several others in the ring; moments later, Danielson entered the ring with the title belt, shook Homicide’s hand, and handed him the title belt; Homicide then took the mic, recognized the staff, crew, and the wrestlers in the ring with him before dedicating the win to his fans
