Samoa Joe pinned Kikutaro (mystery opponent) (w/ Mick Foley) with the muscle buster after fighting off an interfering Foley at 6:29; prior to the bout, Mick Foley took the mic and said he found someone to pass the torch to Joe’s opponent; Foley then introduced Kikutatsu Jack, with Kikutaro then appearing dressed in Foley’s clothes and wearing a mask to make him look like Foley; Foley then said it would be a hardcore rules match; after the contest, Foley cleared Joe from the ring before Joe kicked a chair into Foley’s face and then hit the Ole kick on Foley and Kikutaro; moments later, a man wearing a ROH hoodie ran out and assaulted Joe, then revealing himself as ROH World Champion Austin Aries; Aries then continued to assault Joe before Foley took the mic and praised Aries, with the two then leaving ringside together (ROH: Best in the World)

Featured an opening backstage promo by Steve Corino in which he questioned where his tag team partners, CM Punk and Colt Cabana, were; moments later, Cabana walked in and said Punk had gone crazy after what happened in Chicago; the two discussed finding a replacement partner, with Corino then cutting a promo on his chances in winning the tournament so he could book his own matches; Corino then said he would make sure to get another match with Homicide and get a ROH World Title match when he wins, then would bring in CW Anderson and Simon Diamond as teammates of his Extreme Horsemen group; included a backstage promo by Marcos, Dunn, & El Generico regarding their chances in the tournament; featured a backstage promo by Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, & Vordell Walker regarding their participation in the tournament, with them receiving word moments later that Jay Lethal had been attacked; the three then found Lethal down and dazed, with Lethal saying someone hit him but he didn’t know who; included Gary Michael Cappetta conducting a backstage interview during intermission with Jay Lethal regarding his attack earlier in the show and vying for the ROH Pure Title later in the show; Lethal’s left eye was swollen shut but he said it wouldn’t stop him from his match; featured Sean Price conducting a backstage interview with James Gibson and Spanky regarding their loss in the opening round, with Gibson saying he and Spanky were in ROH because they had unfinished business in wrestling; the two then discussed whether Spanky was focused enough; Price then asked Spanky about Trent Acid, with Spanky saying “that kid is a disrespectful prick;” included a closing backstage promo by Homicide, Julius Smokes, Ricky Reyes, & Rocky Romero in which Homicide said he wanted a shot at the ROH World Title after winning the tournament and Reyes & Romero discussed possibly going for the ROH Tag Team Titles; featured Price conducting a backstage interview with Prince Nana, Jimmy Rave, Orman Tortuga, and John Walters about the events of the night, with Punk appearing with a steel chair and stalking them out of the building:

Trios Tournament Semi-Finals: ROH World Champion Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, & Jack Evans defeated CM Punk, Colt Cabana, & Steve Corino (w/ Ricky Landell & Corino’s ring announcer) when Evans pinned Punk with a springboard moonsault at 14:47; following the ring entrances, Cabana took the mic from Corino’s ring announcer and read a list of people he would like to have a three-way with – Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera, Madonna & Cher, Ginger & Mary Ann, Bertha Faye & Alundra Blayze, Peg Bundy & Marcy Darcy, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton, Kelly Kapowsky & Lisa Turtle (which even drew applause from Evans), Lilian Garcia & Mike McGuirk, the Glamour Girls, the Gilmore Girls, ‘The Gastineau Girls,’ the Spice Girls, the Nitro Girls, the Jumping Bomb Angels, Charlie’s Angels, the Olson twins, the Sweet Valley High twins, “the black chicks from ‘Sister Sister;’ the Duff sisters, the Pointer Sisters, “any two hot nuns,” Bea Arthur & Estelle Getty, “Suzanne Somers circa ‘Three’s Company’ and Suzanne Somers circa ‘Step by Step,'” Dark Journey & Sweep Saphire, Jackie Brown & Foxy Brown, April Hunter & Slyck Wagner Brown; Punk then stole the mic away and said “Don’t hate, appreciate” in response to the last; the list continued with Sensational Sherri & Peggy Sue, Wilma Flintstone & Betty Rubble, Laverne & Shirley, Marsha & Carol Brady, Anne Heche & Ellen Degeneres, the Fabulous Moolah & Mae Young, Fashion Queen Barbie & Ski Vacation Barbie, and — “to end version 1 by taking it to the edge” – El Dandy & Lita; after all that, Corino was officially introduced by his ring announcer; just before the bell rang, Punk stole Evans’ ball cap, turned it sideways, and mocked Evans from the ring apron; during the bout, there was a loud boom sound in the ring – not shown on camera – with the crowd chanting “Dunn & Marcos” as ring attendants came out to tend to whatever the problem was; cameras did not focus on the issue and the commentary team wasn’t sure of the specifics, only to speculate that the ring could implode; it was later noted that a structure under the ring collapsed; Punk’s leg was heavily bandaged; after the contest, Punk and Corino argued, with Cabana intervening; during the arguement, Corino called Punk “Triple H” because of his bad leg; moments later, Cabana told the two to shake hands, with Punk extending his hand but Corino then turning around and leaving ringside; as Punk and Cabana left the ring, the crowd chanted “Fuck Steve Corino”

CM Punk pinned ROH World Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries to win the title at 30:29 with a Pepsi Plunge off the top; the match was billed as Punk’s last before leaving for the WWE; during his ring introduction, the crowd chanted “CM Punk,” “Please don’t go,” and “Thank you, Punk” at the challenger while slightly booing the champion; Punk had “Goodbye” written on his wrist tape for the match; after the contest, Aries took back the title belt from the referee as fans threw streamers into the ring and chanted “Thank you, Punk,” “Please don’t go,” and “We will miss you;” Aries eventually walked over, shook Punk’s hand, hugged him, and gave him the belt before raising his hand in victory; Aries then left the ring as the crowd chanted “Thank you, Aries;” the crowd then chanted “Speech,” with Punk taking the mic, kneeling in the ring, and saying the belt was the most important belt in the world and that, in his hands, was power, much like the mic in his hand was like a pipe bomb; Punk then told the story of the snake taken care of by an old man, with the snake biting him and reminding him he was a snake; Punk then said the greatest thing the Devil ever did was convince the world he didn’t exist, then telling the crowd he was the Devil and the crowd fell for it; he then said he felt sorry for the fans, adding he did what he had to do to get the belt and the fans were his puppets; Punk then said he would never stop until he proved he was better than Low Ki, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles, then saying “Ladies and gentlemen, the champ is here” and “You don’t have to love it, but you have to learn to accept it;” after saying there wasn’t anyone backstage that could stop him, Chrisotpher Daniels came out of the crowd and came face to face with Punk; Punk responded by laying the belt down on the mat between them, with the crowd chanting “Ring the bell” before the two came to blows; Daniels eventually cleared Punk from the ring and took the mic, telling Punk to get back in the ring and put the belt on the line to finish their issue; the crowd chanted “Punk is a bitch” and “CM Pussy” before Punk took the mic and telling Daniels to kiss his ass; Punk then ran out of the building as Daniels took the mic and said he wouldn’t let Punk leave with the belt; when Punk failed to appear, Daniels talked about how Punk put him out of ROH with a Pepsi Plunge through a table, that he had to choose between TNA and ROH, his matches during the first few months of ROH, and watching ROH and the fresh faces that came in during his absence; Daniels then said his destiny was to be ROH World Champion and he was back (Daniels’ surprise return after an 18-month absence) (The Summer of Punk)

Featured an opening segment in which ROH World Champion CM Punk, wearing a suit, came out to Living Colour’s “Cult of Personality” and taunted ringside fans with the title belt, prompting chants of “Fuck you, Punk;” Punk then took the mic and said he had a story, noting about a year earlier he was working for TNA and then one day he was told he couldn’t work in ROH anymore; Punk, Jerry Lynn, AJ Styles, and Christopher Daniels met in Nashville and agreed to act together to make sure they could work wherever and whenever they wanted, but the others bailed on Punk; Punk noted that Styles was the NWA World Champion at the time, but that belt didn’t mean anything compared to Punk’s current title; Punk then said Styles, Samoa Joe, and Low Ki turned their backs on the company and he had stayed there through the entire time and was overlooked; he added that he recently got an offer from WWE, prompting chants of “You sold out;” Punk then said he gave ROH the greatest technical matches and bloodiest brawls its ever seen and then pulled out the actual WWE contract in the ring, holding it up and saying it was his key to freedom; Punk then told Bobby Cruise and Todd Sinclair to hold the title belt up so he could sign the contract on it, with both men refusing; moments later, Punk brought in one of his students, Shane Hagadorn, to hold the belt so he could sign it; Punk then said “Kiss my ass goodbye” as he signed it; James Gibson then appeared at the entrance stage and ran into the ring, dropping Hagadorn with the Gibson Driver as Punk escaped the ring; Gibson yelled at Punk there was no way he was leaving with the title belt; as Punk backed up the ramp, Daniels appeared from behind, attacked him, and threw him into the ring where he was briefly double teamed by Daniels and Gibson before escaping into the crowd:

Debut in Detroit; featured an opening backstage promo by ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson responded to the way he acted towards some fans the previous week, with Danielson saying some fans are pricks and he would be pricks right back to them and he would wrestle the way he wanted, not do certain moves just because fans would tell him to while in the ring; moments later, Chris Sabin walked in and said he signed Danielson’s open contract and would challenge him later in the show; included an opening in-ring promo by Jim Cornette, who became distracted by a fan in the crowd dressed as Hulk Hogan; Cornette then talked about the wrestling history in Detroit and shared a story about the Sheik; moments later, after Cornette said ROH would be a new Detroit wrestling tradition, Adam Pearce interrupted; Pearce then said he was offering Cornette a chance to latch on to his upcoming success, adding that he wanted championship gold and quality opponents; Cornette followed by saying, as commissioner, he would be the one making those decisions and those getting opportunities would earn them by winning matches; Cornette then said no one would be handed anything in ROH, with Pearce responding by saying he would guarantee he would earn his spot; featured a backstage promo by Austin Aries, Jack Evans, Matt Sydal, and Roderick Strong, alongside Jade Chung, regarding their upcoming Steel Cage Warfare match against the Embassy; included an outdoor promo by Homicide and Julius Smokes on Colt Cabana in which Homicide said he wouldn’t be responsible for what he does to Cabana, during which he said he wasn’t speaking as Homicide but as Nelson Erazo; featured Dave Prazak conducting a backstage interview with Claudio Castagnoli regarding his match earlier in the night against ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness, with Castagnoli saying he was screwed in the title match; included Prazak conducting a backstage interview with McGuinness regarding his match with Castagnoli; featured a closing backstage segment in which Prazak interviewed Strong, alongside Chung, regarding Strong’s match the next night against Danielson; included an ad promoting the ROH Training School; featured an ad promoting ROHwrestling.com:

Samoa Joe, Homicide (w/ Julius Smokes), Colt Cabana, and Christopher Daniels (w/ Allison Danger) fought to a no contest when Homicide, the first man introduced, took the mic and said he wanted Cabana and didn’t care about Joe or Daniels; upon Cabana’s entrance, the two brawled in the aisle and around ringside for several minutes; the fight eventually went into the crowd, with the two using steel chairs as Daniels and Danger watched from the ring; the fight continued for several more minutes, with Homicide and Smokes eventually putting Cabana on a table; Cabana eventually fought his way off of it but then missed a bulldog from the bleachers onto the table, with Homicide then jumping off the bleachers and dropping Cabana with a DDT onto the floor; the brawl continued, with Cabana hitting a suplex from the bleachers through the table; much of the fighting near the table was obscured due to poor lighting; several referees immediately tended to Cabana and Homicide, with Jim Cornette coming out moments later to try to see for himself what was going on; Cornette then took the mic and questioned whether either of them was still living before saying the four-way match would still take place with new participants, then adding Jimmy Jacobs; Adam Pearce then walked out and told Cornette to add him to the match as well, with Cornette agreeing
Christopher Daniels (w/ Allison Danger) defeated Adam Pearce (sub. for Homicide), Samoa Joe, and Jimmy Jacobs (sub. for Colt Cabana) by pinning Joe with the Angel’s Wings at 17:08, moments after Pearce landed a low blow on Joe and Daniels kicked Pearce in the head
