1/4/86 – hosted by Tony Schiavone & David Crockett, with the announcement NWA Tag Team Champion Dusty Rhodes defeated Buddy Landell in Albuquerque, NM to win the NWA National Heavyweight Title; moments later, they brought in NWA World Champion Ric Flair, with Flair saying he partied for two full days to celebrate the new year; Crockett then asked Flair about his antics with National Tag Team Champions Ole & Arn Anderson against the likes of Rhodes, NWA US Champion Magnum TA, and NWA Tag Team Champions Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson, with Flair simply saying he was out to make an example; featured footage of a recent fight between Rhodes & NWA Tag Team Champion Manny Fernandez against Flair and the Andersons, during which Arn hit Fernandez with a steel chair; included Crockett conducting an interview with Tully Blanchard, alongside Baby Doll, in which he said he was after Magnum and Rhodes’ singles titles; Blanchard then asked Baby Doll where she had been, with Baby Doll saying JJ Dillon gave her tickets to Acapulco as a Christmas present; moments later, Dillon joined them on set, and told Baby Doll he thought the world of her but she was going to have to come up with a better story to cover her tracks; Blanchard then began yelling at Baby Doll, then knocked her down and dragged her by the hair as Dillon held Crockett away; Rhodes then intervened, punched Blanchard, and protected Baby Doll; Rhodes then took the mic, told Blanchard to never touch Baby Doll again because she now belonged to Rhodes; featured an ad promoting Starrcade 85 on VHS; included Crockett conducting an interview with Magnum about the events earlier in the show involving Blanchard, Baby Doll, and Rhdoes, with Magnum saying he didn’t like Baby Doll but Blanchard had no right to put his hands on her as he did; featured Crockett conducting an interview with Dillon about the altercation earlier in the show, with Dillon saying he would not be held responsible for what happened, with Dillon saying he would send his men after Jimmy Valiant to help take the National Title from Rhodes; included Crockett conducting an interview with Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Krusher Kruschev & Ivan Koloff, with Kruschev discussing his feud with Sam Houston before adding he wanted the Road Warriors in the ring; Ivan then said the Koloffs would be the team of 1986 as they were in 1985, adding he too wanted to show the Road Warriors how dominate they were:

NWA World Champion Ric Flair defeated Mack Jeffers via submission with the figure-4 at 1:34; after the match, Flair refused to break the hold, with NWA National Heavyweight Champion Dusty Rhodes then coming ringside; Tully Blanchard, alongside JJ Dillon, then attacked Rhodes from behind, with Flair then putting the figure-4 on Rhodes inside the ring as Blanchard pulled back on Rhodes’ arms; after Rhodes was caught in the hold about 30 seconds, Baby Doll ran out to try to make the save, with Blanchard yanking her by the hair until NWA US Champion Magnum TA ran out; Magnum and a bloody Rhodes then began brawling with Flair and Blanchard on the floor; Flair and Blanchard eventually gained the upper hand in the fight as the show ended

5/3/86 – featured an opening shot of the NWA National Heavyweight Title belt, hyping the Ron Garvin vs. Tully Blanchard match later in the show; hosted by David Crockett & Tony Schiavone, with split-screen footage during the introduction showing Blanchard and Garvin getting ready backstage; the two then said the match had a 1-hour time limit but there were stand-by matches ready in case it didn’t go that long; included Johnny Weaver conducting a backstage interview with NWA World Champion Ric Flair about the upcoming Garvin vs. Blanchard match, with Flair praising both competitors but predicting Blanchard would win; Flair then discussed Ricky Morton, who was out injured because of him and the Four Horsemen:

NWA Tag Team Champions Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson defeated Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey (w/ Jim Cornette & Big Bubba) via disqualification at around the 8-minute mark when referee Tommy Young caught Cornette striking Morton with the tennis racquet as Morton had Condrey covered with a roll up; it was announced during the opening moments of the match that Morton & Gibson won the titles from Eaton & Condrey in Philadelphia
