Jones, calling him an uneducated black man who was like the others in the country, trying to “overcome” politcal persecution, while Hussein stated he and Hart faced no such obstacles; included Crockett interviewing Hart, along with Hussein, who mocked Jimmy Valiant’s face being burned and claimed Valiant would have to come through Hussein, the Magic Dragon, and Mid-Atlantic TV Champion Great Kabuki to get to him; featured Crockett interviewing Jones, who wished to find a partner and get revenge on Paul Jones, Jake Roberts, & Dory Funk Jr; included Crockett interviewing Valiant, with his face badly burned, who stated he would leave town if he couldn’t rid the area of Hart, Oliver Humperdink, the One Man Gang, and Kabuki, and that he wanted them in steel cage and loser leaves town matches; featured Crockett interviewing Jones, who stated, as a well-dressed man, he expected a fine woman from Florida and not some redneck dressed up like Dusty Rhodes:

Jones about facing Dory Funk Jr. for $100,000 later in the show; moments later, Caudle spoke with Roddy Piper about chasing NWA US Champion Greg Valentine; featured a vignette in which NWA World Champion Harley Race put up a bounty of $25,000 to anyone who can put Ric Flair out of wrestling; included Caudle conducting an interview with Flair about the bounty put on him by Race, with Ricky Steamboat then walking in, discussing the injury to Jay Youngblood, and Flair saying he would be Steamboat’s partner against the Briscoes if Steamboat would watch his back against Race:

12/31/83 – hosted by David Crockett & Johnny Weaver; featured Crockett conducting an interview with Dusty Rhodes, who said Jimmy Valiant was attacked by Paul Jones and the Assassin and had his beard cut; after talking about how close he was with Valiant, Rhodes said he was helping Valiant against Jones and the Assassins; in localized ads during the show, Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Dick Slater was announced as the new NWA US Champion; included the National Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors vs. Keith Larson & Gene Ligon match from the 12/17/83 Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling; featured Crockett conducting an interview with Gary Hart, Ivan Koloff & Don Kernodle about their attack on Angelo Mosca earlier in the show, with Koloff saying they would finish Mosca and collect the bounty put on his head; included an interview with Roddy Piper in which he said Hart was a cancer, just like Paul Jones, and he would get rid of them both; Piper then brought in Mosca, still hurting from the match he had with Koloff, who said Hart and his men had started a war; featured a video segment in which Tony Schiavone visited NWA Tag Team Champion Ricky Steamboat’s new gym in Charlotte, still under construction; Steamboat said he had been working on the gym for months, discussed his many accomplishments in the ring and noted his never winning the NWA World Title; Steamboat then abruptly announced his retirement, adding that if he was world champion he probably wouldn’t be building the gym and wouldn’t be retiring; after his announcement, ‘Old and Wise’ by the Alan Parsons Project played on top of a still image of him in the ring; after the segment, an emotional Weaver talked about how he mentored Steamboat when he broke into the buisness and was so proud that Steamboat had the success he enjoyed; included Crockett conducting a closing interview with Jones and the Assassins in which he said 2 people were now retired: Steamboat and Valiant; Jones said Valiant may as well retire because he was no longer ‘Handsome’ and the Assassins would win whatever tag team tournament was devised to determine the new NWA Tag Team Champions; Assassin #1 then said he was proud to be part of Jones’ team and no one touches the mask and no one messes with Jones, saying they made an example of him:
