NWA Television Championship Tournament – 1986

All matches took place at the Greensboro Coliseum on January 4, 1986.

– Quarter-Finals

– Tully Blanchard pinned Ron Bass by falling on top of him from the top rope as Bass had the claw applied

– NWA National Tag Team Champion Arn Anderson pinned Jimmy Valiant with a double leg pick up and putting his foot on the ropes for leverage

– Black Bart fought Road Warrior Animal to a double count-out

– Wahoo McDaniel pinned the Barbarian with a roll up after the Barbarian missed a charge into the corner

– Semi-Finals

– NWA National Tag Team Champion Arn Anderson pinned Ron Garvin by blocking a backdrop into a sunset flip and grabbing the ropes for leverage at around the 17-minute mark; after the bout, Garvin had a confrontation with Tully Blanchard, who was coming out for the next match

– Wahoo McDaniel defeated Tully Blanchard via disqualification at around the 8-minute mark after referee Tommy Young spotted Blanchard hitting McDaniel with a foreign object; after the match, McDaniel cleared Blanchard from the ring

– Finals

– NWA National Tag Team Champion Arn Anderson defeated Wahoo McDaniel
