The Dudley Boyz defeated WWF Tag Team Champions Edge & Christian via disqualification at 4:29 when Edge hit Bubba Ray in the back with a steel chair as D-Von went to pull a table out from underneath the ring; prior to the bout, the champions were given good luck by Christopher Lambert, Adrian Paul, and Lisa Barbuscia who sat ringside; after the bout, the Hardy Boyz threw the champions back inside the ring, with Edge then being crushed in-between two ladders by the Hardyz and sustaining a double aerial attack while Christian was put through a table via a Bubba Ray powerbomb off the top

Pay-per-view bouts ? included Jim Ross & Paul Heyman on commentary; featured an opening segment in which Diamond Dallas Page came through the crowd to cut an in-ring promo saying he would beat the Undertaker in his own yard and the following night on Raw he would be the first WCW wrestler to step foot in Madison Square Garden; DDP then showed a sign he brought with him, which read “Make Me Famous” and with an arrow pointed towards him, and then took a ringside seat to await the Undertaker; included Heyman interviewing DDP at ringside, during which footage was shown on the big screen of DDP earlier in the day with the implication that the Undertaker was responsible for filming it; featured additional footage of DDP shot earlier in the day; included Billy Gunn at WWF New York in which he complained about being a former King of the Ring but not even getting a spot in this year’s tournament; featured DDP cutting a second in-ring promo, after having to watch footage of himself throughout the show, in which he called out the Undertaker; moments later, footage of DDP arriving to the arena was shown with the camera person turning the lens around to show it was Sara, with she then saying it was time for DDP to become famous; moments later, the Undertaker came out and dominated a brawl over DDP for several minutes – with Sara coming out with a camcorder to record the confrontation – until Page eventually escaped through the crowd:
King of the Ring Semi-Final Match: Kurt Angle pinned Christian at 8:17 with an Olympic Slam into the ring after Shane McMahon, who came ringside late in the bout, pulled Christian out of the ring after he hit the Unprettier; it was later revealed Shane caused Angle to win the match so he would have to wrestle twice before their scheduled streetfight later in the night
King of the Ring Semi-Final Match: Edge pinned Rhyno at 8:54 with a DDT after Rhyno hit an exposed middle turnbuckle while attempting the Gore
WWF Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz defeated Spike Dudley & WWF IC Champion Kane at 8:33 when Bubba Ray pinned Spike with the 3D after D-Von avoided the Dudley Dog; after the bout, Kane hit a powerbomb on D-Von and a chokeslam through a table on Bubba Ray
King of the Ring Finals: Edge pinned Kurt Angle with a DDT at 10:20 after Shane McMahon came through the crowd and speared Angle after the referee was knocked down; prior to the bout, Angle cut an in-ring promo telling Edge the right thing for him to do would be to forfeit the match so that Angle could be fresh when he fought Shane later in the show, with Edge then attacking Angle in response; late in the bout, Christian briefly came ringside and accidentally distracted the referee as Edge had Angle covered (The Best of King of the Ring)

Kurt Angle pinned Shane McMahon in a streetfight at 25:58 following an Olympic Slam off the top, as Angle stood on a piece of wood laid across the top rope; late in the bout, Angle shattered part of the entrance stage by suplexing Shane through one area and then throwing him head-first through another; after the match, McMahon was helped backstage by referees (The Best of King of the Ring)
WWF World Champion Steve Austin defeated Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit at 27:50 by pinning Benoit when Benoit seemingly knocked himself out after dropping Jericho with a back suplex off the top; late in the bout, WCW World Champion Booker T came out of the crowd to attack Austin on the floor before putting him through the Spanish announce table and leaving back through the crowd when security came down to grab him; pre-match stipulations stated that if Austin lost the match his partnership with Vince McMahon would be over; rumors going into the match said that if Benoit or Jericho were to win they would jump to WCW with the championship (Benoit’s last match for 13 months; Booker T’s surprise debut)

WWE World Champion Triple H fought Randy Orton to a no contest at around the 22-minute mark when, as Triple H had Orton in the Crippler Crossface, William Regal was shown in the director’s truck complaining about how the fans didn’t deserve to see the ending of the match because of how they disrespected him earlier in the show; moments later, Regal assaulted the director until he gave in to Regal’s demands to take the show off the air; in footage shot exclusively for WWE Home Video, Regal appeared two minutes after the show went off the air and told the fans he would not be disrespected and stopped the bout after the champion hit a spinebuster on Orton; moments later, Triple H attacked Orton on the ramp, took him back to the ring, and dropped him with the Pedigree

Zack Ryder (w/ Rosa Mendes) pinned Tommy Dreamer at 11:08 when Ryder reversed a back suplex off the top and landed on Dreamer for the win; Dreamer originally won the match at 9:54 with the DDT but referee Scott Armstrong noticed Ryder’s foot under the bottom rope after making the pinfall; stipulations stated Dreamer would leave ECW if he lost; after the match, Dreamer took the mic and talked about the first time he sat in the crowd in that venue and saw a live Piper’s Pit that featured a woman from Yonkers; Dreamer then thanked everyone from the original ECW and new ECW; an emotional Dreamer said wrestling was his dream since the age of 9 and he proved that passion can take you anywhere, noting he made it in both ECW and WWE; Dreamer said WWE wants to recognize the fans as the WWE Universe but to him they’ve always been his family; Dreamer then said his daughters go to school and say their dad falls down a lot but always gets back up; his wife Beaulah and two daughters were then shown in the crowd; Dreamer told the fans to be good to each other, he would miss them, and he loved them (Dreamer’s last match)

Beat the Clock Challenge: CM Punk (w/ Luke Gallows) pinned Matt Hardy at 7:20 with a kick to the head and the Go To Sleep; prior to the match, Punk, alongside Gallows, cut an in-ring promo in which he spoke of the New Year’s resolutions the fans were making and then led the crowd in a pledge admitting they were tired of damaging their bodies and would not smoke, drink, or do drugs in 2010; Punk then said he would save a member of the crowd the following week and his message would continue to grow until the youth all lived under his straight edge lifestyle; Punk then said he would go on to win the Beat the Clock challenge and regain the World Heavyweight Title at the Royal Rumble; after the contest, Hardy attempted to fight off an interfering Gallows until Punk assaulted Hardy from behind, allowing Gallows to hit the 12th Step
Beat the Clock Challenge: Kane fought Dolph Ziggler to a time-limit draw at 7:20; CM Punk & Luke Gallows were shown watching the match backstage; Ziggler had Kane in a sleeper when the match ended; after the contest, Ziggler dropped Kane with the Zig Zag
The Great Khali pinned the Carolina Panther with the tree slam at the 18-second mark and putting one foot on his chest during the cover; the Panther wore a Carolina Panthers jersey for the match, stemming from the Panthers beating the New York Giants days earlier in the last game at Giants Stadium
WWE IC Champion Drew McIntyre defeated John Morrison via disqualification at 4:48 when, after Morrison twice moved the referee out of the way while attacking McIntyre in the corner, the champion shoved Morrison into the referee, with the ref thinking Morrison did it intentionally; after the match, Morrison jumped McIntyre from behind in the aisle, with the two fighting until referees came out to break up the fight
Mickie James pinned Beth Phoenix with a roll up at 1:03 after WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool accidentally kicked Phoenix in the head from the ring apron; McCool, who wore a “Piggy James loves food” T-shirt, and Layla, who wore a “We love the Glamazon” T-shirt, sat ringside for the match; after the bout, McCool & Layla double teamed Mickie until Phoenix began fighting McCool, eventually clearing her from the ring and kicking Layla off the apron; moments later, Phoenix slapped Mickie’s hand but then dropped her with the Glam Slam
