WCW US Champion Sting defeated Tim Frye via submission with the Scorpion Deathlock at 3:13 after hitting the Stinger Splash; after the bout, Sting helped Frye to his feet; the bout was taped before Sting’s title win and thus he was not announced as the champion nor did he come to the ring with the title belt; after the contest, Paul E. Dangerously conducted an in-ring interview with Sting regarding his recent attacks from Abdullah the Butcher and Cactus Jack; moments later, another giant gift box was brought ringside; when Sting opened it, he found a beautiful woman inside who kissed Sting and gave him a note from Cactus Jack that read Cactus was watching Sting’s every move; after Sting said he was easy to find, he grabbed the woman and kissed her before she left ringside
