Pay-per-view bouts – featured Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler on commentary for Raw, Todd Grisham & Jim Ross on commentary for Smackdown!, and Matt Striker & Josh Mathews on commentary for ECW; included footage from earlier in the day of Matthews conducting an interview with the Big Show from his bus outside the arena in which Show said he would embarass John Cena later in the show; featured an ad for “Macho Madness: The Randy Savage Ultimate Collection;” included Matthews conducting a backstage interview with Batista regarding his steel cage match against WWE World Champion Randy Orton later in the show and Orton’s assault on Ric Flair the previous week on Raw; featured Gregory Helms conducting a backstage interview with ECW World Champion Christian regarding his upcoming title defense and the fact Tommy Dreamer’s career is on the line; moments later, Dreamer interrupted and said his career would continue because he was taking the belt; Jack Swagger then interrupted, with Christian and Dreamer immediately walking away; included a backstage segment with Vickie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero Jr. in which Vickie was preparing for her upcoming match with Santina Marella; featured a backstage segment with Chavo, Vickie, Goldust, and Hornswoggle in which Goldust said the Guerreros smelled like poop; moments later, Vickie and Chavo walked into her office to find World Heavyweight Champion Edge; Vickie then said she wasn’t going to help Edge in his title defense and he would have to go at it alone; Vickie then said he didn’t care about her, never had, and wouldn’t have any of the Raw talent help him in the match; Edge then told Vickie to find a good divorce attorney:
WWE US Champion Kofi Kingston defeated MVP, Matt Hardy, and William Regal by pinning Regal with an enzuiguri at 6:43 after Regal threw MVP to the floor
Chris Jericho pinned WWE IC Champion Rey Mysterio Jr. in a no holds barred match to win the title at 14:41 with a roll up after unmasking the champion as he attempted the 619; prior to the bout, Jericho cut a promo on Mysterio from the merchandise stand and continued to insult Mysterio and the fans as he made his way through the crowd and into the ring; after the bout, Mysterio immediatley covered his face and left the ring as Jericho celebrated in the ring with both the belt and Mysterio’s mask (Breaking the Code: Behind the Walls of Chris Jericho)
CM Punk defeated Umaga in a strap match at 8:58 by touching the fourth and final corner after dropping Umaga with the Go To Sleep (Umaga’s last appearance)
Tommy Dreamer defeated ECW World Champion Christian and Jack Swagger in a hardcore match to win the title at 9:37 by pinning Swagger with the DDT after breaking a crutch over his head; stipulations stated Dreamer would retire if he didn’t win the title; after the contest, Dreamer sat on the ringside barrier and celebrated with the fans
Santina Marella defeated Vickie Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero Jr. in a handicap hog pen match at 2:44 by pinning Vickie with a roll up after Chavo accidentally threw slop on Vickie; prior to the bout, Jerry Lawler discussed the rules of the match beside the hog pen and the introduced the participants; moments later, Vickie announced the match was now a handicap match also involving Chavo; due to stipulations, Marella won Vickie’s Miss WrestleMania title; after the contest, Vickie argued with Chavo over the loss
Batista pinned WWE World Champion Randy Orton in a steel cage match to win the title with the sit-down powerbomb at 7:04 after Orton attempted to climb over the top of the cage; after the bout, Batista said the win was dedicated to the injured Ric Flair
John Cena defeated the Big Show in a submission match at 19:05 with the STFU after tying Show’s leg in the ring ropes
Jeff Hardy defeated World Heavyweight Champion Edge in a ladder match to win the title at 20:06 after the champion became stuck in the rungs of the ladder; after the contest, Hardy celebrated the title win until Jim Ross came into the ring to conduct an interview; moments later, CM Punk came out to cash in his Money in the Bank title shot (The History of the World Heavyweight Championship, Ladder Match 2: Crash & Burn Blu-ray)
CM Punk pinned World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy to win the title in an impromptu match with a kick to the head and the Go To Sleep at 1:02
Extreme Rules 2010 – Baltimore, MD – First Mariner Arena – April 25, 2010 (12,278; sell out)
Pay-per-view bouts – featured Michael Cole, Matt Striker, & Jerry Lawler on commentary; included a backstage segment in which Todd Grisham stood outside the trainer’s room with an update on Triple H’s condition, with Sheamus interrupting and saying Triple H could face him or forfeit but he would win either way; members of the National Guard were shown in attendance; featured a backstage segment with Grisham in which he detailed Triple H’s injuries and said the trainer said it was doubtful Triple H would be able to compete later in the show; included Josh Matthews conducting a backstage interview with Edge regarding his upcoming steel cage match against Chris Jericho; featured Matthews conducting a backstage interview with Jericho regarding his upcoming steel cage match against Edge and his loss earlier in the week to Heath Slater:
Triple H fought Sheamus to a no contest in a streetfight; after Triple H’s music played but he did not appear, a backstage camera showed Sheamus attacking him in the hallway, with referees attempting to intervene; Triple H was eventually pulled off Sheamus, with Sheamus then taking a pipe and twice striking Triple H in the head with it, knocking him out; moments later, Teddy Long and the referees called for a trainer for Triple H
David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd (w/ Bret Hart & Natalya Neidhart) defeated WWE Unified Tag Team Champions – WWE US Champion Mike Mizanin & the Big Show, John Morrison & R-Truth, and MVP & Mark Henry in an impromptu gauntlet match; following their entrance, Miz took the mic and noted he beat Smith and that Hart would have to admit the next night that he and Show were the greatest tag teams in WWE history; he then said they needed some competition and begged for a team to face them; moments later, Teddy Long appeared and said he had a team of his choosing waiting and if that team won then they would earn a title shot; after Miz repeatedly insulted him, Long said he would have three teams face them; when Long threatened to add a fourth, Show covered Miz’s mouth; Long then said, should any of the teams beat Miz & Show, they would challenge them for the titles the next night; Miz & Show defeated Morrison & R-Truth via disqualification at 3:14 when Morrison had Show in a triangle choke while hanging over the top rope, as a counter to Show’s chokeslam; Miz & Show defeated MVP & Henry at 5:42 when Miz pinned MVP when, after MVP hit the Playmaker on Miz and made the cover, Show punched MVP in the face from the floor; Kidd & Hart defeated Miz & Show at 6:22 when Hart pinned Miz following the springboard Hart Attack CM Punk pinned Rey Mysterio Jr. at 15:59 with the Go To Sleep after a masked bald man (Joey Mercury) came out from under the ring and attacked Mysterio on the floor behind the referee’s back; stiuplations stated Punk’s head would be shaved if he lost; a barber chair and shaving tools were positioned at the entrance stage for the match; Serena & Luke Gallows escorted Punk to the ring before the bout but were ejected at the 9-minute mark for interfering; after the match, Punk sat in the barber chair, accompanied by Serena & Gallows
JTG defeated Shad Gaspard in a strap match at 4:42 by touching the four corners
World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger pinned Randy Orton in an extreme rules match at 14:02 with the gutwrench powerbomb after blocking a RKO attempt onto a steel chair set up in the ring and Swagger dropping Orton back-first onto the chair; after the contest, Orton dropped Swagger with a RKO on the floor; moments later, Sheamus walked out, past Orton, and into the ring to start the next match
Sheamus pinned Triple H in a streetfight at 15:50 after four consecutive boots to the face; prior to the bout, Sheamus took the mic and said if Triple H wasn’t man enough to face him then the referee needed to go ahead and declare him the winner; Todd Grisham was then shown outside the trainer’s room and said Triple H would not be able to wrestle, with Triple H then leaving the trainer’s room and making his way out to the ring; after the match, Triple H was tended to in the ring and fitted with a neckbrace but then pushed the medics away, tore off the neckbrace, and struggled to walk on his own as he was helped backstage; moments later, Sheamus reappeared and kicked Triple H in the face at the entrance stage; Triple H was then taken backstage on a stretcher
Beth Phoenix pinned WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool (w/ Layla & Vickie Guerrero) in an extreme makeover match to win the title at 6:36 with the Glam Slam
Edge pinned Chris Jericho with the spear in a steel cage match at 19:58
WWE World Champion John Cena defeated Batista in a last man standing match at 24:32 after tying the challenger’s legs together with duct tape; Cena received a mixed reaction upon his entrance; after the match, Batista watched as Cena stood on the ringsteps in the ring and held up the title belt

Randy Orton defeated CM Punk in a last man standing match at 20:07 after repeatedly hitting Punk over the back with a kendo stick as Punk sat on the top rope, then hitting a RKO off the top rope; Punk came out escorted by Mason Ryan, David Otunga, & Michael McGillicutty but the Raw GM sent an e-mail, read by Josh Matthews, that stated the New Nexus members were banned from ringside; after the match, Jerry Lawler went backstage to prepare for his tag team match later in the show
Kofi Kingston defeated WWE US Champion Sheamus in an unadvertised tables match to win the title at 9:09 after hitting a legdrop off the top rope putting Sheamus through a table on the floor
Michael Cole & Jack Swagger defeated Jerry Lawler & Jim Ross in a country whipping match at 7:02 when Cole pinned Ross with a roll up as Ross was hitting Swagger with the strap after hitting him with a low blow; prior to the bout, Cole came out wrapped in bubble wrap and cut an in-ring promo bragging about his journalistic background covering wars and that he would embarass his opponents; Ross worked the match with a cast on his right hand after breaking it days earlier during Raw
Rey Mysterio Jr. pinned Cody Rhodes in a falls count anywhere match at 11:42 with the 619 and springboard splash into the ring after spraying green mist into Rhodes’ eyes; prior to the bout, Rhodes had two men pass paper bags out to ringside fans to put over their head, citing the fans were extremely ugly; during the bout, the two fought up the crowd and into the concourse before then returning ringside; during the replay, Booker T said the mist reminded him of the Great Muta; after the bout, Michael Cole joined the commentary team
Layla pinned Michelle McCool in a No DQ, no count-out match at 5:24 with a crucifix as McCool made the cover after hitting the Faith Breaker; stipulations stated the loser would leave WWE; after the bout, the two cried before Layla left ringside; moments later, McCool continued to cry alone in the ring as the fans sang “Na na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye;” Kharma then walked out, cornering McCool in the ring, before dropping her with a version of the Angel’s Wings; moments later, the other divas were shown watching Kharma from backstage (Kharma’s surprise debut)
Christian defeated Alberto Del Rio in a ladder match at 21:06 after Edge pulled into the arena in a jeep, distracting Del Rio as Del Rio attempted to take the belt, with Christian then pushing Del Rio off the ladder with Del Rio falling onto Ricardo Rodriguez and Brodus Clay on the floor; moments earlier, Clay interfered as Christian attempted to get the belt, with Christian eventually knocking him to the floor; Rodriguez served as Del Rio’s ring announcer for the bout; stipulations stated the winner would earn the vacant World Heavyweight Title; Clay excessively bled as a result of his brief interference; after the match, Edge and Christian celebrated together in the ring (Ladder Match 2: Crash & Burn)
WWE Tag Team Champions the Big Show & Kane defeated WWE IC Champion Wade Barrett & Ezekiel Jackson in an unadvertised lumberjack match at 4:18 when Show pinned Barrett with the chokeslam; lumberjacks included Jimmy & Jey Uso, Santino Marella, Jacob Novak, Darren Young, Conor O’Brian, David Hart Smith, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Tyler Reks, Byron Saxton, Primo Colon, Evan Bourne, Lucky Cannon, Yoshi Tatsu, Trent Barreta, Titus O’Neal, Vladimir Kozlov, and Johnny Curtis; after the contest, the babyface lumberjacks fought off the heel lumberjacks before the champions dropped Slater & Gabriel with simultaneous chokeslams
John Cena defeated WWE World Champion Mike Mizanin and John Morrison in a steel cage match at 19:54 by pinning Miz after hitting a FU off the top rope; early in the bout, there were dueling chants of “Cena sucks” and “Let’s go, Cena;” R-Truth interfered at the 15-minute mark, kicking Morrison in the head as he was hanging outside the cage door, then entered the ring, assaulted Morrison and Cena, before exiting over the cage and returning backstage; after the pay-per-view went off the air, Cena took the mic, stood on the announce table, and told the crowd that President Barack Obama had announced Osama bin Laden had been found and killed, then adding he was proud to be an American (WWE Superstar Collection: John Cena)

YouTube.com Pre Show – featured a backstage segment in which Eve spun a wheel to determine what the stipulation would be for the Cody Rhodes vs. WWE IC Champion the Big Show match later in the night; Eve, alongside Teddy Long, discussed the possibilities of the match to the two wrestlers before Long spun the wheel, with the wheel landing on a tables match; after the stipulation was decided, Rhodes blamed it on Long, with Eve looking on disapprovingly:
WWE US Champion Santino Marella pinned Mike Mizanin with the Cobra at 4:40 after avoiding a charge in the corner; following his entrance, Miz cut an in-ring promo saying he didn’t care where on the show he was put because he would make it the most watched segment of the show, then saying he would win the US title and it would be the highlight of the night; Michael Cole & Matt Striker provided commentary for the bout

Randy Orton pinned Kane in a falls count anywhere match with a RKO onto a steel chair; during the bout, the fight went backstage, where Zack Ryder briefly assaulted Kane
Brodus Clay (w/ Hornswoggle, Naomi, & Cameron) pinned Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero & Jack Swagger) in an unadvertised bout at the 5-minute mark with a headbutt to the chest and splash; prior to the bout, Guerrero introduced Ziggler from the entrance stage; during the match, there were chants of “Let’s go, Ziggler”
Cody Rhodes defeated WWE IC Champion the Big Show in a tables match to win the title at the 5-minute mark when Show stepped through a table set up on the floor following a dropkick from Rhodes which knocked Show off the apron; after the match, Show hit a spear on Rhodes inside the ring, then dropped Rhodes with a chokeslam through a table in the ring; moments later, Show hoisted Rhodes in a grilla press and threw him from the ring through a table set up on the floor; Rhodes was then tended to by referees on the floor but got to his feet by himself to hold up his title belt
World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus defeated Daniel Bryan in a Best 2 out of 3 falls match, 2-1, at the 23-minute mark; Sheamus came to the ring wearing a T-shirt which read “18 Seconds;” Bryan was cheered upon his entrance and Sheamus received a mixed reaction; fall #1: Sheamus defeated Bryan via disqualification at the 15-minute mark when he repeatedly kicked Sheamus in the arm as the champion was against the ropes; fall #2: Bryan defeated Sheamus via TKO at the 17-minute mark when the champion passed out while caught in the Yes Lock, after being in the hold roughly a minute; after the fall, Sheamus was tended to by two trainers and the referee as the crowd gave dueling chants of “Yes” and “No;” fall #3: Sheamus pinned Bryan with the boot to the face
Ryback defeated Aaron Relic & Jay Hatton in a handicap match at the 2-minute mark by pinning both men after a lariat to Hatton and a running Samoan Drop to Relic; prior to and after the bout, WWE US Champion Santino Marella and the Great Khali were shown watching on backstage; following their introductions, Relic & Hatton took the mic and said them working together would overpower Ryback; during and after the match, the crowd chanted “Goldberg” at Ryback
WWE World Champion CM Punk pinned Chris Jericho in a streetfight at the 25-minute mark with the Go To Sleep after avoiding Jericho’s attempt at the move and using a slingshot to send Jericho face-first into an exposed turnbuckle; during his entrance, Punk hugged his sister at ringside, who sat by their mother; both wrestlers wore jeans for the match instead of their usual wrestling attire; mid-way through the bout, Punk’s sister slapped Jericho in the face after he confronted her; after Punk hit the elbowsmash off the drop late in the match, the crowd chanted “Randy Savage;” late in the bout, the crowd chanted “This is awesome;” after the contest, Punk ran into the crowd and was congratulated by his friends and family at ringside
Layla defeated WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella (w/ Brie Bella) by pinning an interfering Brie with the Layout neckbreaker at 2:28; following the Bellas’ entrance, they took the mic and talked about how long Nikki’s reign would last; Layla received chants of “Welcome back” upon her entrance (Layla’s surprise in-ring return after a year absence)
John Cena pinned Brock Lesnar in an extreme rules match at 16:47 with a FU onto the ring steps, set up inside the ring; prior to the entrances and during the bout, the crowd had dueling chants of “Let’s go, Cena” and “Cena sucks;” the match was stopped at the 1-minute mark when Cena began bleeding from the face after several elbow strikes from Lesnar; moments later, referee Charles Robinson was knocked to the floor; at the 9-minute mark, Robinson was again knocked down as Lesnar dropped Cena with the F5; moments later, Lesnar assaulted a replacement referee; after the match, a dazed Lesnar went backstage as Cena was tended to in the ring; after the contest, a bloody Cena took the mic and said he was proud to say the injuries he sustained happened in Chicago and alluded to being sent on a vacation and being off TV for a while
