12/29/09 – featured a backstage segment in which Zack Ryder, alongside Rosa Mendes, confronted Tommy Dreamer and told him to hang it up; moments later, Dreamer grabbed Ryder by the shirt, told him he was nothing but a catchphrase, and said he was sick and tired of losing to guys like Ryder week after week; Dreamer then said he would leave ECW forever if Ryder could beat him later in the show, with Ryder agreeing; included a “Did you know?” graphic which read ECW was SyFy’s #1 show the previous week; featured an in-ring promo by Ezekiel Jackson regarding his partnership with William Regal against Vladimir Kozlov; after Jackson called Kozlov the weak link, Kozlov appeared and promptly knocked Jackson to the floor; included a backstage segment with Dreamer and ECW World Champion Christian in which they discussed Dreamer’s match later in the show with his career on the line, during which Christian said Dreamer would forever be the heart and soul of ECW; featured the announcement that CM Punk, Chavo Guerrero Jr., and Mark Henry would compete in ECW Homecoming Qualifying matches the following week; included a backstage segment in which Tiffany wished Dreamer good luck in his upcoming match; featured a trailer for “The Marine 2;” included a backstage segment in which Yoshi Tatsu tried to teach Goldust how to speak Japanese; moments later, Caylen Croft & Trent Baretta interrupted and ask how to say “future WWE tag team champions” in Japanese, and then said it was their own names; they then said they hoped Dreamer loses his match and that Goldust and Tatsu would join him in leaving ECW:

Zack Ryder (w/ Rosa Mendes) pinned Tommy Dreamer at 11:08 when Ryder reversed a back suplex off the top and landed on Dreamer for the win; Dreamer originally won the match at 9:54 with the DDT but referee Scott Armstrong noticed Ryder’s foot under the bottom rope after making the pinfall; stipulations stated Dreamer would leave ECW if he lost; after the match, Dreamer took the mic and talked about the first time he sat in the crowd in that venue and saw a live Piper’s Pit that featured a woman from Yonkers; Dreamer then thanked everyone from the original ECW and new ECW; an emotional Dreamer said wrestling was his dream since the age of 9 and he proved that passion can take you anywhere, noting he made it in both ECW and WWE; Dreamer said WWE wants to recognize the fans as the WWE Universe but to him they’ve always been his family; Dreamer then said his daughters go to school and say their dad falls down a lot but always gets back up; his wife Beaulah and two daughters were then shown in the crowd; Dreamer told the fans to be good to each other, he would miss them, and he loved them (Dreamer’s last match)
