John Bradshaw Layfield (w/ Jillian Hall) pinned Matt Hardy in a falls count anywhere match at 5:24 after hitting Hardy in the back with a trashcan and then over the head with the weapon, knocking Hardy off a ladder onto the hood of JBL’s limo; mid-way through the bout, Hardy put JBL through the announce table; after the bout, the Boogeyman came out of JBL’s limo, stalked JBL and Hall around ringside, and stuffed a handful of worms down Jillian’s skirt
Mark Henry (w/ Melina) defeated Rob Eckos, Rob Trusky, & Gus Harlatcher in an elimination match at 2:41; Trusky submitted to a Torture Rack backbreaker at the 47-second mark; Harlatcher was pinned after a facebuster at 1:42; Ekos was pinned with a standing powerslam; after the bout, Michael Cole interviewed Melina & Henry in the ring with Melina saying Henry was there for her protection
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Kid Kash pinned Juventud Guerrera with the brainbuster at 6:09 after the challenger missed the 450 splash and further injured his left knee; prior to the bout, Ken Kennedy made his TV return after a month’s absence and did guest commentary for the bout (Juventud’s last match with the company)
Best of Seven Series for the US Title: Chris Benoit defeated Randy Orton (sub. for Booker T) via disqualification at 10:46 when Orlando Jordan interfered, stole a crutch from Booker T – who did guest commentary for the bout – and hit Benoit with it as Orton prepared for the RKO; Sharmell was at ringside with Booker but was ejected early on when Orton was afraid she would cost him the match as she did the week before; Benoit: 3, Booker: 3
WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Champions Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury (w/ Melina) defeated World Heavyweight Champion Batista & Rey Mysterio Jr. in a steel cage match at 17:05 when Nitro pinned Mysterio after Mark Henry pulled the cage door off and assaulted both challengers with it; after the bout, Henry climbed to the top of the cage and posed as the show came to a close
1/10/06; Philadelphia, PA; Wachovia Center
1/13/06 – featured an opening in-ring segment with World Heavyweight Champion Batista and Teddy Long in which the champion said he was injured over the weekend in a match against Mark Henry and that the injury would require surgury and he would be out of action indefinately; before forfeitting the title and handing it over to Long, Batista said that the new title holder would not be the man until he beat Batista and that when he returned he would reclaim the title; after the commercial break, Batista said goodbye to Ricky Steamboat, Bobby Lashley, Road Warrior Animal, Josh Matthews, Arn Anderson, Rey Mysterio Jr., and several others backstage on his way out; moments later, Teddy Long announced in the ring that a battle royal would be held later in the show to crown the new champion; included Randy Orton trying to get out of his US title match against Chris Benoit so that he could be in the battle royal; featured John Bradshaw Layfield & Jillian Hall meeting with Roddy Piper backstage in which they convinced him to let JBL be his guest on Piper’s Pit instead of the Boogeyman; included footage of Eddie Guerrero’s family being presented with the Star of the Mountain Award from the city of El Paso; featured JBL & Jillian Hall as guests of Piper’s Pit in which, after JBL cut a lengthy promo, Piper addressed Jillian’s mole before bringing out his real guest, the Boogeyman; moments later, JBL slid out of the ring as the Boogeyman began licking Jillian’s mole, eventually biting it off and chewing it as Jillian ran backstage; included a vignette promoting the in-ring debut of Fit Finlay the following week:

1/20/06 – included Kurt Angle being congratulated backstage by William Regal, Road Warrior Animal, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio Jr., and Mark Henry on his World Heavyweight Title victory the previous week, with both Rey and Henry saying they were looking forward to facing Angle for the title at the Royal Rumble; featured the announcement that JBL would meet the Boogeyman at the Royal Rumble; included an in-ring celebration by WWE US Champion Booker T & Sharmell on Booker’s title victory in the Best of 7 Series over Chris Benoit in which Orlando Jordan interrupted, saying he should have been the one to represent Booker and not Randy Orton; moments later, Jordan demanded a match with Booker, with Booker and Sharmell both laughing at the challenge until Jordan knocked Booker to the mat; moments later, Teddy Long came out and said that since Booker was still not able to compete, he would allow one more substitution and Jordan would face Randy Orton later in the night; featured footage from Raw of Daivari costing Kurt Angle his match against Shawn Michaels, then Angle saying he and Daivari were done during a backstage interview; included footage of Batista’s surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL and comments from both Batista and Dr. Jeffrey Dugas about his recovery; featured a vignette promoting the return of Rob Van Dam during the Royal Rumble match:

Matt Hardy defeated Finlay via disqualification at 5:48 when Finlay refused to stop forearming Hardy in the ring ropes; after the bout, Finlay grabbed the mic and said to the referee that he would give him something to disqualify him for; moments later, Finlay dragged Hardy’s head onto the steel ring steps and stomped it (Finlay’s debut)
Mark Henry (w/ Melina) pinned Rey Mysterio Jr at 11:57 with a powerslam mere seconds after Mysterio hit a Frog Splash; due to pre-match stipulations, Henry earned a World Heavyweight Title shot for the Royal Rumble
The Gymini (w/ Simon Dean) defeated Paul London & Brian Kendrick at 2:33 when Kendrick was pinned following the Cross Trainer; prior to the bout, Ken Kennedy came out and teased throwing out some of his new t-shirts then told the fans to buy it themselves before joining Michael Cole & Tazz on commentary
Randy Orton pinned Orlando Jordan with the RKO at 12:58 after Booker T, who came ringside moments earlier with Sharmell, hit Jordan with a crutch as Jordan was on the top rope; after the bout, Chris Benoit came out and cleared the ring of both Orton and Booker; later in the show it was announced Benoit would face Orton next week in a no holds barred match
World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle defeated Daivari via disqualification in a non-title match at 2:14 when Melina jumped on Angle’s back as Daivari was caught in the ankle lock; Mark Henry came out to watch the contest prior to the match beginning; after the bout, Angle applied the ankle lock on Melina until Henry attacked him, hit a powerslam, and knocked Angle out of the ring by hitting him with the ring steps; moments later, Daivari held the ropes open for Melina to leave the ring and then cut an in-ring promo saying he was Henry’s new manager

Royal Rumble Qualifying Match: Super Crazy & Psychosis defeated James & Chad Dick and Nunzio & Vito when Crazy pinned Nunzio following a wheelbarrow / facebuster double team at around 6:10 (the bout began during the commercial break)
Chris Benoit defeated Randy Orton via submission with the Crippler Crossface in a no holds barred match at 26:08 after avoiding the RKO and hitting Orton over the head with a trash can lid
Sho Funaki defeated Finlay via reverse decision; Finlay originally won the match at 2:44 with the Celtic Cross but the referee changed the call when Finlay continued to assault Funaki after the match; after the bout, Finlay grabbed the mic and said he wasn’t here to fit in or get along, he was here to fight; moments later, Finlay dropped Funaki with a second Celtic Cross
John Bradshaw Layfield (w/ Jillian Hall) fought Scotty 2 Hotty to a no contest at around the 1:40 mark when the Boogeyman’s music and lighting began after JBL hit the Clothesline from Hell; moments later, with JBL alone in the ring, thousands of worms began falling from the ceiling into the ring; the Boogeyman then appeared, with JBL then tripping and sliding all over the worms until he escaped the ring; the Boogeyman then ate two handfulls of worms as JBL & Jillian ran backstage
World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle defeated WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Champions Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury (w/ Melina) in a handicap match at around the 9-minute mark when Mercury submitted to the ankle lock after Angle knocked Nitro to the floor; after the bout, Mark Henry & Daivari appeared, with Angle and Henry fighting in the ring until Angle dropped Henry with the Angle Slam; moments later, Angle applied the ankle lock but Henry powered out of it and pushed Angle to the floor as the show came to an end (the bout began during the commercial break)

2/3/06 – included an in-ring segment to begin the show in which Teddy Long announced that Kurt Angle would defend the world title against the Undertaker at No Way Out; moments later, Long introduced the 2006 Royal Rumble winner Rey Mysterio Jr., with Rey coming out in a low rider and thanking Eddie Guerrero for helping him in the Royal Rumble match; Randy Orton then interrupted and challenged Mysterio for the WrestleMania world title shot before telling Mysterio and Guerrero was in hell; Mysterio then assaulted Orton until several referees pulled him off; featured the Undertaker cutting an in-ring promo on facing Kurt Angle for the title at No Way Out, with Angle eventually coming to the ring and cutting a promo on Taker; moments later, Taker said Angle would rest in peace at the pay-per-view, with the lights then flickering and Taker disappearing; included Josh Matthews interviewing WWE Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms backstage, with Nunzio interrupting and challenging Helms to a title match which was accepted; featured a backstage segment with William Regal & Paul Birchill in which they told Palmer Canon they wished to split as a team, with Birchill expressing intentions of taking a pirate persona:

Chris Benoit defeated Finlay (sub. for WWE US Champion Booker T) via disqualification at 5:58 when Sharmell, who stood ringside as Booker did guest commentary, hit Benoit with one of Booker’s crutches as Finlay was in the Crippler Crossface; because of Booker’s injury, Finlay was allowed to defend the title on his behalf; after the contest, Booker and Finlay double teamed Benoit; after the commercial break, the Boogeyman confronted Booker & Sharmell backstage
Mark Henry (w/ Daivari) & Randy Orton defeated World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle & Rey Mysterio Jr. when Orton pinned Mysterio by blocking a sunset flip attempt at around 13:30; moments before the finish, Angle and Henry battled into the crowd and backstage; after the bout, Orton took the mic and said Mysterio had as much chance of winning the world title at WrestleMania as Eddie Guerrero had of coming back to life; moments later, Mysterio accepted Orton’s challenge to a match for the WrestleMania world title shot (the bout began during the commercial break)

2/10/06 – featured footage from the previous week’s Japanese tour; included a backstage promo by Randy Orton in which he discussed his statement the previous week about Eddie Guerrero being in hell before coming out to the ring in a low rider; Orton said he only said what he said to get under Rey Mysterio’s skin to the point where Mysterio would put his world title shot up for grabs; Orton then prepared to read a passage from Guerrero’s autobiography, to prove he wasn’t a saint, but Mysterio ran out and attacked Orton at ringside, eventually dropkicking Orton’s head into the ringpost before Rey was taken backstage by officials; featured a backstage segment with Ken Kennedy, Palmer Canon, and the juniors during which Paul Birchill made his TV debut in his pirate persona; included Booker T & Sharmell attempting to leave the arena and finding the trunk of their car full of worms:
Chris Benoit defeated Matt Hardy, John Bradshaw Layfield (w/ Jillian Hall) and Orlando Jordan at 16:53 when Hardy submitted to the Crippler Crossface; due to pre-match stipulations, Benoit earned a US title shot for No Way Out; WWE US Champion Booker T & Sharmell did guest commentary for the bout; immediately after the match, Teddy Long confronted Booker & Sharmell backstage and told them that he would not allow any more substitutions and if Booker could not compete at the pay-per-view then he would be forced to forfeit the championship; after the commercial break, JBL was confronted backstage by Bobby Lashley who issued a challenge for No Way Out, which Jillian accepted on JBL’s behalf
WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Champions Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury (w/ Melina) defeated Paul London & Brian Kendrick in a non-title match at 5:16 when Mercury pinned Kendrick following the Snapshot behind the referee’s back while Melina grabbed London to prevent him from breaking the cover; the match was made when the champions came out and issued an open challenge to any two superstars backstage
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms pinned Nunzio with the Shining Wizard at 4:16; Kid Kash watched the match from the aisle and during the contest it was announced he would challenge Helms for the title the next week
Octagoncito & Pequeno Violencia fought Mascarita Sagrada & Tsuki to a no contest at 2:37 when Finlay came out and assaulted several of the participants and dropped Tsuki with the Emerald Fusion; after the bout, Finlay cut a promo saying he came to fight and didn’t care about how big or small everyone else was
The Undertaker defeated Mark Henry (w/ Daivari) via disqualification at 13:18 when MNM interfered; moments later, Taker hit a chokeslam on Daivari and laid out the tag team champions but was jumped from behind by Henry and triple teamed until Kurt Angle made the save; Angle was eventually knocked down by Henry, who then was sent to the floor by Taker; Taker then dropped the belt to the champion, with Teddy Long then appearing and ordering that Taker & Angle would face MNM & Henry the following week in a handicap match

2/17/06 – featured a vignette profiling the Undertaker’s history in the WWE to promote his world title match with Kurt Angle at No Way Out; included a backstage confrontation between Paul Birchill and Ken Kennedy in which Birchill put a sword to Kennedy’s throat after Kennedy said the pirate gimmick wouldn’t get over; featured a vignette profiling World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle’s amateur and professional career to promote his title defense against the Undertaker at No Way Out:
Rey Mysterio Jr. pinned Sylvan with the 619 and springboard legdrop at 4:57; after the bout, Randy Orton appeared and said that the only reason he wasn’t going to beat Rey up at that moment was because of the concussion he sustained the previous week; he then said, unlike Eddie Guerrero, Mysterio would never main event WrestleMania
The Boogeyman pinned Orlando Jordan at the 45-second mark with the pumphandle slam; prior to the bout, Jordan cut an in-ring promo saying he should be the one getting a US Title shot at No Way out and not Chris Benoit and then made an open challenge to anyone backstage
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms pinned Scotty 2 Hotty (sub. for Kid Kash who had a family emergency) with the Shining Wizard at 3:45; after the bout, the champion cut an in-ring promo saying he could do the same thing to any cruiserweight at any time he saw fit; moments later, Brian Kendrick, Paul London, Nunzio, Sho Funaki, Psychosis, and Super Crazy all came out and assaulted the champion with many, and Scotty, hitting their respective finishers on Helms; after the commercial break, Helms was iced down backstage and confronted by Teddy Long who said all the cruiserweights would face Helms at No Way Out in a one-fall match for the championship
John Bradshaw Layfield (w/ Jillian Hall) & Finlay defeated Chris Benoit & Bobby Lashley at 14:54 when JBL pinned Benoit with the Clothesline from Hell after WWE US Champion Booker T, who did guest commentary with Sharmell, hit Benoit in the back with a steel chair
Matt Hardy pinned Simon Dean at 3:15 with the Twist of Fate; the Gymini were in Dean’s corner early on but were sent backstage at the 1-minute mark; after the commercial break, Hardy told Melina backstage that he accepted her open challenge to face any two Smackdown! stars and he would have a mystery partner to face MNM at No Way Out
World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle & the Undertaker defeated Mark Henry (w/ Daivari), WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Champions Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury (w/ Melina) in a handicap match at 15:37 when Nitro submitted to Angle’s ankle lock; after the bout, Taker hit the chokeslam and the tombstone on Henry as a signal to Angle; as the show came to a close, Angle and Taker had a staredown in the center of the ring

2/24/06 – featured an opening in-ring promo by Randy Orton regarding his victory over Rey Mysterio Jr. at No Way Out and his world heavyweight title shot at WrestleMania, during which he said he would become the greatest wrestler of his generation, just as his father and grandfather did before him; moments later, as Orton said he was the best, Chavo Guerrero Jr. came out of the crowd and attacked Orton, eventually hitting the frog splash before he was escorted from ringside by security; included William Regal confronting Paul Birchill backstage about his new gimmick, with Birchill eventually handing Regal a fake bomb and lighting it; featured an in-ring promo by Rey Mysterio Jr. in which he talked about Eddie Guerrero being inducted into the Hall of Fame and then discussed losing his WrestleMania world title shot to Randy Orton, apologizing to all those he dedicated the match to, including Guerrero; moments later, Teddy Long came out and said that the referee’s decision was final and Orton would be in the main event but Mysterio would be part of the match too and it would be a triple threat contest; included a video montage on Mark Henry, detailing his success over the past 2 months; featured an in-ring segment with Kristal in which she prepared to disrobe as a preview to the new Divas magazine when she was interrupted by Jillian Hall; moments later, Kristal stripped Jillian down, with Jillian running backstage, and finally disrobed for the crowd; included a recap of Batista’s appearance at No Way Out; featured a highlight package on the Kurt Angle / Undertaker match at No Way Out; moments later, Teddy Long came out and said a rematch between Angle and Taker would take place the following week on Smackdown!:

The Boogeyman defeated Chad & James Dick in a handicap match by pinning Chad with a double handed sit-down chokeslam; Booker T & Sharmell did guest commentary for the bout; after the contest, the Boogeyman spat worms onto Chad’s face before scaring Booker & Sharmell into the crowd; moments later, the Boogeyman opened a bag he had with him and dumped worms all across the commentary table (the Dicks’ final TV appearance)
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms pinned Psychosis with his feet on the ropes at 5:26 after causing the challenger to crotch himself on the top rope
Rey Mysterio Jr., WWE US Champion Chris Benoit, & Bobby Lashley defeated Randy Orton, John Bradshaw Layfield, & Finlay at 15:55 when Mysterio pinned JBL with the 619 and a springboard splash; prior to the bout, Orton held Teddy Long up backstage, refusing to go out and complaining about Mysterio being added to the WrestleMania main event and Undertaker getting a world title rematch, until Long threatened to take him out of the WrestleMania match if he didn’t go out and compete in the match; JBL sustained a broken hand late in the bout after Benoit kicked the steel steps into it outside the ring
