Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas defeated Eddie & Chavo Guerrero Jr. at 5:48 when Haas pinned Chavo after blocking Chavo’s frog splash and Benjamin hitting the superkick; after the bout, Chavo confronted Eddie in the ring about the loss and slapped his uncle before Kurt Angle came ringside to hold Eddie back and cool him down

Rikishi & Scotty 2 Hotty fought WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Champions Doug & Danny Basham (w/ Shaniqua) to a no contest when the champions attacked the challengers from behind before the bout, double teaming them and hitting them with the title belts; moments thereafter, Kurt Angle came out and announced that he and Paul Heyman came up with a substitute pair of challengers for the Bashams to defend against later in the night – Eddie & Chavo Guerrero Jr.
WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Champions Doug & Danny Basham (w/ Shaniqua) defeated Eddie & Chavo Guerrero Jr. at 16:22 when Doug reversed an attempt by Chavo for a sunset flip into the ring, holding onto Shaniqua for leverage; after the bout, Eddie sustained a brutal double team inside the ring while Chavo sat at ringside and watched; after the champions left ringside, Chavo helped his uncle to his feet before punching him to the mat and pummeling him until Eddie became busted open; moments thereafter, Chavo drove off in Eddie’s low rider

World Champion Brock Lesnar and an entourage of police officers) pinned Sho Funaki at 1:16 with a right hand punch in a non-title match; during the bout, Hardcore Holly – who Show placed a restraining order on – appeared at the top of the ramp; Show wrestled the bout with a neck brace, a result of the streetfight with Holly the previous week
John Cena pinned Rhyno (w/ Paul Heyman) at 17:16 with the FU after Cena avoided a Gore through a table set up in the ring, with Rhyno crashing through it, and knocking Heyman off the ring apron; prematch stipulations stated that Rhyno could not be disqualified or counted-out and that the loser – whether it be Cena or Heyman – would have his mouth washed out with soap; after the bout, Heyman attempted to leave ringside but was trapped by Chris Benoit, who eventually locked him in the Sharpshooter while Cena taunted Heyman and shoved a bar of soap into his mouth

Albert defeated Shannon Moore; during the bout, the Cat came ringside and momentarily distracted Albert; due to pre-match stipulations, Albert earned a spot in the Royal Rumble match
Chris Benoit & John Cena defeated WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar, Matt Morgan, & Rhyno in a handicap match when Cena pinned Rhyno with the FU at around the 19-minute mark; WWE US Champion the Big Show was to have been a part of Lesnar’s team but was locked in his dressing room by a forklift backstage; at around the 10-minute mark, Lesnar attempted to walk out on the match but was briefly attacked by Hardcore Holly until officials stepped in, allowing Lesnar to retreat backstage; after the, match, Benoit saved Cena from an attack by Matt Morgan before both he and Cena went to the floor and tipped over Paul Heyman’s high chair, knocking Heyman into the ring; moments later, the Big Show came to the ring and hit chokeslams on both Benoit and Cena
Bradshaw defeated Akio and Sakoda; due to pre-match stipulations, Bradshaw earned a spot in the Royal Rumble match

Danny Basham (w/ Doug Basham & Shaniqua) pinned WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Champion Scotty 2 Hotty (w/ WWE Smackdown! Brock Lesnar pinned Hardcore Holly with the F5 at 2:48; prior to the bout, Lesnar drove to the ring on Steve Austin’s stolen ATV and cut an in-ring promo on Austin and Bill Goldberg; after the bout, Lesnar celebrated the win by drinking two beers and having Austin’s theme music play as he drove backstage on the ATV
Danny Basham (w/ Doug Basham) pinned WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Champion Scotty 2 Hotty (w/ WWE Smackdown! John Cena pinned Albert with the FU at 9:33; after the bout, the Big Show came out and cut a promo on Cena, speaking of his accomplishments at Madison Square Garden
WWE World Champion Eddie Guerrero fought Paul Heyman to a no contest at around the 2-minute mark in a non-title match, in which the champion’s hands were handcuffed behind his back, when Heyman and the referee went backstage and Kurt Angle came ringside; while handcuffed, Guerrero held Angle off from entering the ring before he was assaulted with a series of taped fist punches to the face; moments later, after Eddie spat in Angle’s face, the champion was hit in the head with the championship belt
