– Sting defeated WCW US Champion Rick Rude in a non-title match via judge’s decision after the 20-minute time-limit expired; judges for the bout included Ole Anderson, Hiro Matsuda, & Larry Zbyzsko; Sting applied the Scorpion Deathlock just as the bell rang to signal the time-limit; Matsuda gave the match to Sting, Zbyzsko gave the match to Rude, and Anderson gave it to Sting; after the decision, Rude attempted to attack Sting from behind but Sting cleared him from the ring

– Big Van Vader pinned Dustin Rhodes at 10:44 with a splash off the middle turnbuckle; prior to the bout, Harley Race objected to the match taking place after Sting broke a 2×4 over Vader’s back but Bill Watts ordered that should have happened a lot earlier, the match was on, and Race would be barred from ringside; Ole Anderson, Larry Zbyzsko, and Hiro Matsuda served as judges for the match had it went the time-limit
