House Party 96 – Philadelphia, PA – ECW Arena – January 5, 1996 (1,150)
Featured an opening segment in which Bill Alphonso interrupted Joey Styles’ in-ring intro, with the two men arguing until Taz got in the ring, grabbed Styles, and threatened him in the corner; moments later, 911 made the save leading to several wrestlers having to pull the two men apart; after the crowd left the ring, Taz dropped El Puerto Ricano with a Tazplex causing 911 to again get in Taz’ face until he was attacked by the Eliminators leading into the opening match; included Styles conducting an in-ring interview with Stevie Richards, alongside the Blue Meanie and Beulah McGillicutty, in which he bragged about making out with Missy Hyatt a few weeks ago, renamed himself from “Dancin” Stevie to “Studly” Stevie, and said he was better looking than Marcus Bagwell and Scotty Riggs; moments later, Richards attempted to kiss Beulah but she told him she didn’t want to be touched; when Richards pushed the issue, she admitted she was pregnant; Raven then came out, confronted Beulah, and then dropped Richards when she said the baby wasn’t Raven’s; Beulah then admitted it was Tommy Dreamer’s, with Dreamer then coming out and knocking Raven to the floor as Beulah did the same to Richards and the Meanie; Dreamer assaulted Raven around ringside before hitting a piledriver in the ring onto a STOP sign and blueberry pie; Dreamer and Beulah then left ringside together; the home video concluded with a Public Enemy tribute video:
Hardcore TV – 1/16/96: 911 & Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Perry Saturn & John Kronus (w/ Jason) when Mysterio pinned Saturn at around 7:30 with a hurricanrana from 911’s shoulders as Saturn was on Kronus’ shoulders; during the bout, Taz interfered several times attacking 911; after the match, the Pitbulls and Francine came out to make the save against the Eliminators and Jason until Francine suffered Total Elimination; moments later, medics took Francine backstage on a stretcher
Hardcore TV – 1/23/96: Rob Van Dam pinned Axl Rotten with the split-legged moonsault at 6:13 (RVD?s debut) (Rob Van Dam: One of a Kind)
2 Cold Scorpio (w/ Woman) pinned ECW TV Champion Mikey Whipwreck to win the title at 16:45 with a powerbomb and the moonsault legdrop off the top after Raven interfered and dropped the champion with the DDT
Hardcore TV – 1/23/96: Taz (w/ Bill Alphonso) defeated Hack Myers via submission with the Tazmission at 3:40; Alphonso wore an Emmit Smith Dallas Cowboys jersey for the bout; after the match, Taz cut an in-ring promo responding to the fans’ chants of “Sabu” and said this was just the beginning of the trail of bodies he would leave behind before telling the crowd to “Fuck off”
Hardcore TV – 1/16/96: Buh Buh Ray Dudley (w/ Sign Guy, Chubby, DW, & Big Dick Dudley) pinned Jimmy Del Ray (w/ Mr. Hughes) at 2:58 with a DDT; after the match, Bubba, CW, and Big Dick fought off Del Ray & Hughes until Hughes grabbed the mic and said he had something for Bubba; moments later, Shane Douglas came out, said he had been in purgatory, and then slapped Bubba to teach him some proper English; the fans chanted “Dean is Dead” upon Douglas’ entrance (Douglas’ surprise return after a 7-month absence)
The Bad Crew fought JT Smith & Tony Stetson to a no contest
ECW World Champion the Sandman (w/ Woman) defeated Konnan via TKO at 14:00 when Sandman was the only one who could meet the referee’s standing 10-count after both men beat the other with kendo sticks; Rey Mysterio Jr. interfered on behalf of the challenger at the 12:30 mark, throwing Konnan his own kendo stick to use on the Sandman; after the bout, Konnan took the mic and endorsed Sandman as ECW’s champion
Sabu pinned Stevie Richards (w/ the Blue Meanie) at 14:30 with the Atomic Arabian Facebuster; Paul E. Dangerously came out at the 11-minute mark to check on an injured Sabu
The Public Enemy defeated New Jack & Mustafa when Rocco Rock pinned Mustafa at 13:01 with the Drive By; prior to the bout, the PE cut an in-ring promo saying the ECW Arena was the house they built, with the crowd chanting both “You sold out” and “You’ll be back;” after their entrance, New Jack cut a promo on the Public Enemy leaving for WCW by saying, “When you see those pussy bitches Harlem Heat, tell them I invented this” and “I called Santa Claus the other day and asked ‘What do you think of Sensational Sherri?’ and he said ‘A ho ho ho;'” after the match, Rocco cut an in-ring promo saying they were the greatest wrestling fans in the world and the energy they gave off made them do things they normally wouldn’t do and all the wrestlers in the back agreed; he then invited the wrestlers in the back to come out and have one last dance with them (PE’s last appearance for 3 years) (ECW: Unreleased Vol. 2)

Included an opening segment in which Paul Heyman introduced several cameramen from “A Current Affair” who were in the arena filming; featured the Gangstas cutting a backstage promo challenging the new ECW Tag Team Champions the Eliminators; included Joey Styles conducting an in-ring interview with Taz & Bill Alphonso regarding 911, which was interrupted by Rey Mysterio Jr. who said he wasn’t afraid of Taz; moments later, Mysterio dropped Alphonso but was eventually dropped by Taz; moments later, Hack Myers and JT Smith came out to check on Mysterio, with Smith then stomping Mysterio until Myers knocked him out of the ring; Mysterio was then helped backstage before Woman came out – to chants of “You sold out” – and confronted Styles in the ring, saying the fans could catch action like that on Monday night – referring to her jumping to WCW; the Sandman then came out and said he didn’t want to come with her and called her a bitch, with Woman challenging any man or woman to come out and physically remove her; 2 Cold Scorpio then came out, threw Woman over his shoulder, and threw her out the building into a limo in the parking lot, with Scorpio telling the driver to “Take that bitch to Atlanta;” moments later, Stevie Richards and the Blue Meanie confronted Sandman in the ring on behalf of Raven and gave him one chance to back out of Sandman’s upcoming title shot against Raven; after saying no, the Sandman twice caned the Meanie and told Richards he was coming for “his” belt; moments later, ECW World Champion Raven, with Kimona Wanalaya, came out and said if Richards’ “surprise” wasn’t big then he was fired; Richards then announced he was suing Missy Hyatt for sexual harassment, stemming from the last month’s show in which Missy “violated him;” Missy then came out and insulted Richards and Raven before the Sandman appeared and caned both men
Taz (w/ Bill Alphonso) defeated the Shark Attack Kid via submission with the Tazmission at 3:34; after the bout, Taz grabbed a mic and responded to several chants he heard during the match for 911 and then challenged 911 to come out and face him; ECW Commissioner Tod Gordon then came out and said 911 didn’t want to wrestle Taz and had left the building for unknown reasons; Alphonso then challenged Gordon to a fight, with Gordon getting the advantage until Taz attacked him; moments later, Bam Bam Bigelow cleared the ring (Bigelow’s surprise debut)
The Headhunters (w/ Damien Kane & Lady Alexandra) defeated Axl Rotten & El Puerto Ricano at 6:45 when Ricano was pinned following a moonsault
Perry Saturn & John Kronus defeated ECW Tag Team Champions Cactus Jack & Mikey Whipwreck to win the titles at 12:11 when Saturn pinned Whipwreck with Total Elimination after Whipwreck collided with Cactus on the ring apron; prior to the bout, the champions were escorted to the ring by ECW World Champion Raven, who repeatedly shoved Whipwreck around before going backstage; late in the match, Cactus attempted to use a broken bottle on Saturn but was dropkicked by Whipwreck; Cactus wore a “WW F’n F” t-shirt for the match; after the contest, Raven came back out and shoved Whipwreck down before Cactus joined in to double team his own partner, finishing him with a double arm DDT onto a steel chair; moments later, Joey Styles attempted to interview the new champions in the ring until they were interrupted by Francine, wearing a neckbrace, who distracted the Eliminators long enough for the Pitbulls to attack them from behind; Kronus then sustained the Super Bomb and Francine cut Saturn’s hair as he was choked with a chain
Tommy Dreamer (w/ Beulah McGillicutty) & Shane Douglas defeated ECW World Champion Raven (w/ Kimona Wanalaya) & Stevie Richards (w/ the Blue Meanie) when Dreamer pinned Richards at 19:35 with an enzuiguri after Beulah tied a frying pan to Dreamer’s boot; prior to the bout, Richards cut an in-ring promo stating he and the Meanie would now be known as the Fabulous Ones before they started to strut; at one point in the match, Richards put on a Razor Ramon t-shirt, chewed on a toothpick, and then threw it at Douglas; mid-way through the bout, Cactus Jack interfered on behalf of Raven & Richards while the Sandman assaulted members of both team and the referee
AAA Walterweight Champion Rey Mysterio Jr. pinned Juventud Guerrera at 9:27 by reversing a Splash Mountain off the top into a hurricanrana; ring announcer Joel Gertner did half the announcing in Spanish (Rey Mysterio: Biggest Little Man)

Featured an in-ring segment hosted by Joey Styles in which the lights went out and when they came back on Brian Pillman was in the ring; moments later, Pillman said an announcer in Atlanta took away his Constitutional rights and he had just been fired by Eric Bischoff, who he referred to as “Jerkoff,” and then called Paul E. Dangerously – Verne Gagne’s former gopher – “a piece of fucking shit;” Styles then attempted to end the interview but Pillman grabbed the mic and took over; as Pillman started calling the crowd smart marks, several fans in the front row held up a sign saying “Don’t work me, Pillman;” as Pillman attempted to urinate in the ring, Tod Gordon, Paul E. Dangerously, and Shane Douglas came out to stop him, with Pillman calling Dangerously “Bookerman” before he was taken away by security; Pillman eventually broke away from the security, pulled a ringside fan into the ring, and appeared to stab him before Douglas chased Pillman out of the ring; Douglas then grabbed a mic and said he wouldn’t let the show continue until Pillman was thrown out the door; moments later, Pillman was dragged ringside by security, taken through the crowd, and ejected from the building (Pillman’s surprise return after a 15-month absence); included Styles conducting an in-ring interview with Tommy Dreamer – his arm in a sling – and Beulah McGillicutty and said Raven had seperated his shoulder; moments later, Raven, Kimona Wanalaya, Stevie Richards, and the Blue Meanie appeared; as Raven alluded to planning to cut off Dreamer’s dick as payback for what he did to Raven’s girlfriend Beulah, Shane Douglas and the Bruise Brothers appeared to step in-between, with Douglas taking Beulah backstage to safety; moments later, the Harris brothers jumped Dreamer and pulled him crotch-first into the steel ringpost before leaving ringside with Raven’s Nest
Judge Dread & the Bad Crew defeated Dino Sendoff, Don E. Allen, & the Dirt Bike Kid at 2:03 when Sendoff was pinned following a modified Doomsday Device from the Bad Crew; after the bout, the Sandman came out and repeatedly caned everyone in the ring before going backstage
Spiros Grekko pinned El Puerto Ricano at 4:26 with a side pumphandle slam; during the bout, the crowd chanted “You fuck sheep” at Grekko
Taz (w/ Bill Alphonso) defeated Joel Hartgood via submission with the Tazmission at 1:53; after the match, Taz said Hartgood was “just another victim” before scaring off the medics and assaulting Dino Sendoff, Don E. Allen, and the Dirt Bike Kid as they attempted to make the save; moments later, Mikey Whipwreck attacked Taz and sent him reeling for several moments until Taz caught him coming off the top, hit a Tazplex, and then locked Whipwreck in the Tazmission
Buh Buh Ray Dudley (w/ Sign Guy, Chubby, DW, & Big Dick Dudley) pinned Mr. Hughes at the 35-second mark with a splash off the top after Big Dick broke a crutch across Hughes’ back
The Bruise Brothers (sub. for the Gangstas) defeated the Headhunters (w/ Damien Kane & Lady Alexandra) at 3:54 when a Harris pinned a Headhunter with a boot to the face at the same time the other Headhunter had the other Harris pinned with a moonsault; prior to the bout, Styles announced New Jack was in jail in Atlanta and Mustafa had agreed to face both Headhunters himself; moments later, Damien Kane and Lady Alexandra appeared with Kane saying he could offer Mustafa a job with the Headhunters and Mustafa looking at Alexandra and saying he needed a handjob; moments later, Mustafa threw Kane to the floor and assaulted him at ringside until the Headhunters assaulted Mustafa inside the ring, leaving Mustafa unable to compete; Kane then issued an open challenge to any team in ECW to face the Headhunters, with the Bruise Brothers then appearing (the Bruise Brothers’ surprise return)
JT Smith pinned Axl Rotten at 6:12 after hitting him in the back with a steel chair; after the bout, Smith spat on Rotton and hit a moonsault – holding the chair – onto Rotten; after the bout, Hack Myers and several referees came out, with Smith assaulting Myers and throwing him to the floor until Myers sent Smith from the ring; Smith then attacked Rotton on the floor until Myers made the save and fought him backstage
The Pitbulls & Francine defeated Stevie Richards & ECW Tag Team Champions the Eliminators in a dog collar match at around the 15-minute mark when Francine pinned Richards after Richards sustained a neckbreaker off the top from the Pitbulls; after the bout, the Eliminators hit Total Elimination on both Pitbulls and Francine
